Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge # 58 - Silly Book Monster (Altered Notebook)

Hello and welcome to another week of the Your Next Stamp sketch/colour challenge #58.

Every two weeks, there is a new challenge that features a sketch and colour inspiration. Pick the one that inspires you most, or try both for an added challenge. The best part of these challenges is you could win a gift certificate to the YNS store!

When using the colour inspiration, you must use at least 3 colours. You may also add neutrals

This week I used the sketch for my inspiration. This was a great sketch, so I didn't need to make any changes. I inked up one of my new favourite stamps, the fun Silly Book Monsters and decorated a notebook.

I also used the fun Letterboard die to create my book title.

For the sketch/colour challenge # 58, you will have until Thursday March 2nd (midnight EST) to play along. Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog for more inspiration and to link up your creation.

One random participant will win a $15 gift card to the YNS store. If you feature YNS products (it must be the main focus of your project), you will receive an additional $5. When you use a YNS stamp/die, there is a chance of being selected as the YNS top pick. The winner and top pick are announced on the YNS blog, the Sunday after the close of the challenge.

If you use YNS products on your project, you can also take part in the YNS Social Media challenge. Simply showcase your YNS sketch/colour challenge #58 project on Instagram, Splitcoast Stampers or Facebook. Check out the currently challenge post at the YNS blog for more details on the social media challenge.

Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Notebook Full of Possibilities!

Hello everyone!

I am here with a rare blog post. This one is not connected with a new stamp release or one of my design team commitments. This challenge is BOOK related.

I am a HUGE fan of author Elise Kova. She is the talented author of the amazing Air Awakens series. She is soon to release the Alchemists of Loom in January 2015. As we build up to the release of the book Elise continues to share with us fascinating details about this amazing world of Loom.

Did you know there are Guilds in the world of Loom?

I am a proud member of the Harvester Guild

You can find out more about the Harvesters Guild here. You learn more about the Guild Games and determine which guild you are part of here.

I used my craft resources to create this note book. I coloured the image (Elisha the Mage by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps) and decorated the book using a variety of supplies in my craft stash.

The tag on the front of the note book is a sentiment that I feel represents me and the Harvesters really well.

I love to make notebooks. They are great ways to record ideas, lists, creations or they make a great gift. I haven't decided what I am going to do with this special notebook!

Thank you for stopping by.

If you want to learn more about Elise Kova's books check out her website.

Hello and welcome to our January Scrappy challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

You have all month to play along, so grab some stamps, pictures and let's get KRAFTY!

Our January theme is: ANYTHING GOES

I have had most of this calendar together since October, getting myself ready to get organized for the new year. Since I am going to keep this calendar as part of my scrapbook for the year, after the month is over, I like to go back and add a few reminders of some of the things that happened over the past month.

On my January calendar I used:

The paper is from Echo Park's Hello Winter collection.

Before the start of the month, I like to you the Perfect Planner set and mark out those days where I have confirmation of reminders, plans or information to remember.

Later in the month, if other things come up, it's fun to use some of the other great stamps you have in your collection to add a few reminders of fun and important memories. Baking with my kids and of course shopping for books (again)!

I hope you play along with this month's SCRAPPY Challenge! You can head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog to see more creations from the Krafty Girls as well as the full details about the challenge.

My first project I made a simple card featuring the PUPPY LOVE stamp, I used the large heard for my background stamping using Worn Lipstick distress ink. The Little hearts are from the So Stinkin' Cute set and stamped with Memento Angel Pink.

I used the Stitched Square die to cut out the image of my puppy.

Here is a look at the inside of my card.
