Your Next Stamp - August (BIRTHDAY) Release!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Your Next Stamp, happy birthday to you!!!!

This month is a great month for birthday celebrations! I celebrated my birthday earlier this week and now we are celebrating the 8th birthday for Your Next Stamp! It's also time to share the new August released stamps and dies, so there are a lot of reason to be happy and celebrating right now.

Today we have an amazing blog hop to showcase so many fabulous stamps, dies, gumdrops and paper! This month I am re-joining the YNS team as one of the guests for birthday hop celebration. I know, I haven't been away from the team too long, but I couldn't miss out on a great party! Your Next Stamp June Feature - Combine Stamps (Word Critter/Tea-rific)

Welcome to the June Your Next Stamp feature post. Each month the design team uses specific stamps, dies or themes to create projects that will hopefully inspire you.

You will want to check out the feature post each month at the YNS blog because in addition to inspiration, there is also a chance to WIN a stamp set of your choice.

This month our challenge was to use two or more stamps together and as many dies as we wanted. This was a fun challenge.

For this month's challenge, I used masking to create a scene with two of my stamp sets. The one set Tea-riffic is retired, however the Birthday Phoebe set has a set of books that could also work. The sweet cat is from the Word Critter: Cats and Dogs. I have used that critter set twice this month!

Your Next Stamp May Feature - Art Inspiration (Fairy Dust)

Welcome to the May Your Next Stamp feature post. Each month the design team uses specific stamps, dies or themes to create projects that will hopefully inspire you.

You will want to check out the feature post each month at the YNS blog because in addition to inspiration, there is also a chance to WIN a stamp set of your choice.

This month we were asked to find a famous painting and draw our creative inspiration from it for our project. This feature was a challenge. There were so many amazing pieces of art, however I did find it difficult to find one that really inspired me for a card. That was of course until I started looking through paintings by Claude Monet. From here, I was completely inspired to grab my inks and get a little messy.

The painting I selected for my inspiration is called SAN GIORGIO MAGGIORE AT DUSK. 

My inspiration came from the painting colours. I tried to recreate the colours and a little of the texture with my Distress ink. I applied the distress ink using the applicator to water colour paper. I then used a paint brush and water to blend the colours, giving it a weathered look.

I used the sweet FAIRY DUST stamp set for this thank you card, along with the Stitched Rectangles and the Double Stitched Hill die.

This week I dug into my stamp stash and grabbed the sweet Hammie Coffee and Tea, to go along with the fabulous new Crazy for Coffee paper. If you haven't figured out, my inspiration was once again the sketch. These are usually my favourite to work with. I really like finding ways to adapt the sketch and show how you can draw inspiration and still make it your own!

Your Next Stamp April Release Preview (Insanely Happy)

It's April 1st and Your Next Stamp has a new release for you!

That's no joke! Today, we have a little preview of some of the stamp, dies (and more) you will see for this months new release.

The April new release will happen later tonight, so take a little time to preview everything now. You can start your wish list, because there are so many great items, something will surely catch your eyes!

I am excited to share with you a number of new items. The stamp set 'Insanely Happy' is sure to be one of my favourites for this year. Just look how cute the little Gnomish girl is. I also used new gumdrops and paper pad!

That's right more YNS paper, it's coffee themed!

Check out the sparkle on those gumdrops, another enchanted set for sure!!!

This week I used the sketch for my inspiration. I dug into my stash for a stamp I haven't used in a while and Sprinkles Coffee and Tea stamp and die. I also used the Stitched Rectangles, Circle die and Cosmic Crush gumdrops!

Your Next Stamp March Release

Welcome to the Your Next Stamp March release hop. This release is filled with fun and fabulous stamps, dies, beautiful new paper and pretty ink colours! There is a little something for everyone in this month's release.

We have an amazing blog hop to showcase so many wonderful stamps, and dies! This month we have a number of talented guest joining us for our March release hop. Sit back, grab a beverage (some Chocolate Chai tea would be yummy) and maybe a pen and paper to joint down an item or two or three for your wish list.

For my first card, I used the fun Let's Do Take out stamp and die.

To make the card interactive, I used the Flip Up Window die set to add one of the great sentiments from this set. I think there will be a lot of fun things I will be able to do with this new die!

For my second card, I channelled some spring vibes. I used the darling A Cute Stack stamp along, with the Happy Spring paper and Enchanted Garden Gumdrops.
