I've been stuck in a creative rut -- mostly because it was a CRAZY week.
I did get to do Lauren's sketch for today, though not UNTIL today, so here I am... this is Lauren's sketch:
I strayed a little bit -- and I also had to spread it out a bit too...what I had chosen wouldn't fit all the way over on the side.
Here's my take on the sketch:
I had gotten this great paper up in Manchester last month - and finally broke into it :). This is for my friend's daughter, whose sweet sixteen party is today. The sheer blossom was dressed up a little using an image from Fancy Flourishes in White Stazon, and then a pop of color added with my shimmery chalks (thanks for the reminder Lauren!). Of course, I realize, I used Raspberry Fizz, because there was a bit of that color in the paper (but it's covered up by the white layer) figures, right? Anyway -- thanks for stopping by today -- hope you get to play along, be sure to use the keyword Mytimess33 when uploading, and add your link to the Mr. Linky on Lauren's blog too!
Here's what the rest of the team did:

Tracey, I would love to have your cupcake:). Your card is really cute!
Hee Tracey! I love to here the stroy behind the card and that the raspberry is now hiding behind the white panel. Made me smile. THis card is perfect for your teenage friend and I love the sheer flower, staz on and shimmer chalks technique. Super cool!

So glad you got to play along this morning and glad to see you've worked your way out of the "rut" you claim you hit :O) LOL...I have yet to see a rut with you!
This card is wonderful! Love that patterned paper. I was laughing when I read that you covered the Raspberry Fizz that was on the paper...that is something that I do all the time! Glad to know I'm not the only one :O)
I'm sure the young lady this is going to will love it! The colors are wonderful and HIP! Perfect for a teen. I also love how you used the flourish stamp on the flower and dabbed it with chalks. Very good idea...that I plan to steal :]
Yummy paper Tracey. Cute sketch too. I'll have to try this out soon.
What a super sweet card Tracey! Love the paper and of course the technique...fab!
Hugs,
Charlotte
Great card Tracey! What fun colours, so cheerful!
I'm thinkin' you pulled out of that rut, just fine! I totally "hear" you though, when there's too much on the plate it can be hard to "get your craft on!" But then, once you do, all that stuff "on your plate" doesn't seem so bad! Hee Hee ADORABLE CARD! Thanks for the inspiration!
Happy & cute! :> My anniversary set just came last week and I'm looking forward to playing with it....thanks for reminding me to get it out and prep those great stamps! Love your button cherry and that great flower!:>
