Today the challenge over at Use Your Stuff , Chris C. has challenged us Since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month I would like to see PINK in your project. Pink it is :) I have breast cancer that runs in my family, but I also have lots of little girls in my family so I used today's prompt to focus on this cute picture of my 1st Great-Granddaughter taken a couple of years ago, she is now 2 1/2 years old:

Delightful Free Show LO for a Lasting Memories Photo Challenge
Good Morning and welcome :) Been creating a layout each day so far this month with LOAD but for today's challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge blog I went to an old layout that for some odd reason I thought I posted but never did. It's from the Music Mayhem LOAD515 Day4. The challenge for this week is:
I went with the venue for a county fair and used pictures from the fair we went to in 2014, the free show. I had a blast creating this layout. I don't use plain cardstock for a background to often but love how the red misting comes peeking out from behind the pattern paper to give the cardstock a fun pattern. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation over at Lasting Memories for this fun last challenge of the month :)
"Color/Photo Challenge" - anything to inspire!!

This layout just fit the color scheme of the challenge perfectly:
LOAD515 Day 14: Prompt was Being On Stage, how about the stage itself? The venues for concerts and other events can be layout inspiring. Some
arenas are very linear, and others are old, curvy and architecturally
interesting. From opera hall to a county fair, venues are part of the
story. Sometimes, the venue creates the story. Let a venue inspire your
layout.I went with the venue for a county fair and used pictures from the fair we went to in 2014, the free show. I had a blast creating this layout. Round and Round
Good Morning and I hope you are having a great Labor Day weekend :) We have been in and out of the house since Saturday afternoon checking out what is happening in the are and enjoying the holiday weekend:) We are doing up some tomatoes tomorrow so enjoying some relaxing time, before we get back into harvesting from the garden :)
Today is a new set of challenges over at Lasting Memories and would love to see you create something and link it up over at Lasting Memories.
SEPTEMBER CHALLENGES - "WHICH DIRECTION ARE YOU GOING or WENT?" - Show us what you did this year or what you will do in the year to come based on the DIRECTION noted.
Today's challenge focus is "UP" - Up in an Airplane? Hiking Up a Hill? Standing Up from a nap? :) Kites, Hot Air Balloons...you get the picture :)
I thought I would go with a layout I did during LOAD515 Day 21. “Throwback Thursday” is where old photos take the stage for a laugh or an “aww”. Use an old photo, an old scrapbooking technique, an old song, or all three at once on a page.
I found this old photo of me from 1974 from Gettysburg, recently (April 2015) we went again it was cool to have taken a picture in the same area. Title is an old song and the paper used is from the first paper pad I bought when started scrapping. This was a fun prompt to do :)
Now it's your turn :) We would love to see your focus on UP

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
Good Morning :) Today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog Martha is our hostess and she want us to use Die Cuts and / or punches. I have this fun Christmas layout I created last year during LOAD Day 30 Someone Else’s Words: Make a holiday inspired layout today and include the lyrics to one of your favorite songs!
My die cuts are the tree and the Santa, thinking I cut them with my cameo. I think I had a blast decorating that tree :) Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree is one of my favorite Christmas songs and when I think of rockin around the tree I always think of Timmy the cat we had when I was a kid, he was always having fun and seemed to love to climb the artificial tree we had. These are some of my favorite Christmas pictures with Timmy.
The die cut
The journaling included part of the lyrics
Close up of the pictures. A memory that is now recorded and documented :) I do scrapping for this reason the extra playing involved is a fun bonus
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see your creation linked up over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog

Fan Then Fan Now
Good Morning :) It's a new week challenge over at Lasting Memories. The theme this month is All About Me and this week it is Anything Goes: As long as it has something to do with YOU... anything goes. :)
I'm a huge fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd, even got a chance to see them in concert a long time ago! This is the only picture that I found of me wearing the Tshirt I got at the concert.
Journaling
I had fun adding bits a pieces to this layout
The original ticket :) I kept it this whole time so glad to add it to the layout. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see your creation linked up soon

Music I Enjoy To Hear
Hi you all and welcome to a new week challenge for Lasting Memories Layout Challenge. This is the last challenge for this month's theme of All About Photos. This week were looking for How Many Can You Fit. I have a total of 7 photos on my layout and lots of journaling to cover the rest of this one page layout.
This was a layout I made during LOAD515: Day 19: Top 40 Anyone else compulsively follow Casey Kasem’s Top 40 as a kid? I so remember that show and love to listen to it. I think I always have loved music:
An up close look at the journaling.
Pictures of me through the years :)
What music do you enjoy? Would love to see your creation over at Lasting Memories this is the final challenge for this month and a cool prize to win too :)

I'm Still Standing
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there in bloggy land :) I pray that it is a beautiful day for you all.
Today is a new weekly challenge over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges, the monthly theme is All About Photos and this week's challenge is Vintage! Dig out those Sepia, Black & White photos, can be current or old. My photos are in the 1970's era, my sister's wedding:
My sister's wedding I was the flower girl. This was made during LOAD515 and the prompt for Day 13 was Musical Inspiration: Elton John. I recently had heard this song and thought immediately of my sister. For all the things given to people, myself included, there are those amazing ones out there! and to me she is one of them.
My journaling tells of her disease and of her ongoing battle she has never faltered. This girl no matter what happens always has a smile on her face and is always cheerful. Her marriage didn't work out due to her disease (to put it kindly) there were other reasons too.
I was blessed to have this picture saved during the Ivan flood in 2004 and so glad I had a chance to use it for this layout. Lots of sequins added to the layout.
The original picture of my sister and her ex coming down the aisle.
My title work for the layout. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you join us this month for these fun challenges

True Beauty
Hi you all and a Good Sunday to you :)
This weeks Lasting Memories layout challenge is the 2000s :) Wow has it been an interesting century so far. So with this you have 16 years to work with. I could have went in many directions with this challenge as you can too. I've got some current favorite artists and could have went that way, how about the dance trends of this century so many options there too. But I went with the sweetness of my grandkids and their musical talents, anyone that follows along with my blog knows about my grands and their talents, I have made a few layouts about them. This layout is focused on my granddaughter Isabelle:
This was Isabelle's 2nd recital and we could hear her improving. So I chose this layout cause it was a spotlight picture of her, she is a true beauty with a beautiful soul, so much like her mother in that respect. The inspirational picture for the challenge looks like someone being spotlighted so this was the layout to do.
This week's Lasting Memories Layout Challenge: Music Montage/ Era is the 2000s and what comes to mind for you for that era or the picture:
So much could be taken from this picture, but the spotlight caught my eye.
This layout was created for LOAD515 day 20: In the Spotlight is the prompt: Every family has that natural performer who loves the spotlight. Shine the spotlight on them today and tell of their moment in the limelight!
A sweet cutapart card from the paper kit
The journaling I included right onto the layout. It's great to have these layouts that I created with LOAD that I have yet to blog about, it's fun to have them available for challenges like this and they get their day to shine too
Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my corner of the world. I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun challenge this week over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges All link-ups for the month are due April 29th. Check out the sidebar for our APRIL Prize giveaway!!

#HUH
Hi you all and welcome to this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff Blog. The challenge this week is punches. Here I used my favorite punches, a variety of circle punches.
This layout was made during LOAD515 Day 9: Mis-Heard We were to do a misheard lyric, but I did the misheard lyric in the past present 2 load. So after deliberating most of the day decide to go this way with the prompt. Really didn't know how often I said Huh till I watched and heard my wedding video. This picture still remember (in my late 20s) I was looking at something, someone said something to me and as I was turning to say HUH they took this picture of me very natural. I used a wide variety of circles to make up the background of this layout.
I come across this for the word HUH, the origin for it and wanted to add it to the layout.
Title and lots of fun speech bubbles for variations of the word HUH
Definition and my journaling on this project Life card. This was a fun layout to do and it shows a side of me that I had not known about till I got married and seen that wedding video. The picture of me is one of my favorites, it's one that caught me off guard that day as I was swinging around to find out what someone had said, the picture was taken.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with your punches :)

In The City
Hi you all and what a sweet Sunday it is :) Gotta get the shorts out and get them washed :) It's that warm out here to enjoy wearing them especially at work, very hot in there yesterday. Today is a new challenge over at Lasting Memories and today it's about Broadway. I was lucky enough to have went to New York in my younger years and got to see Grease. Wow was that a cool play to see at that time. My Mom and I travel quite a bit when I was younger and we did it mainly by bus, my parents didn't drive. So I remember staying at this fancy old hotel and not much more other than the Rialto theater to see the play.
I couldn't find any pictures of us, but I found a postcard of the hotel we stayed at, the memorabilia of the trip and some photos that Mom purchased. The pockets that I created hold the brochures and the book of New York a site guide.
The left side of the Layout has the postcard of the hotel we stayed at. I also found online the playbills of Grease during that time that we may have had and the 8X8 page In The City became my title and also a pocket to hold the memorabilia brochures and extra photos from the trip. These were a great find going through the box of things of Mom's that she saved and it brought back many memories of a fantastic trip.
The right side of the Layout I used another 8X8 paper to make the pocket to hold the book (travel guide) of New York. I added a few pictures from the picture pack to the layout and so glad to see the Twin Towers in that pack of pictures. I do remember going up to the top of those towers and seeing the view of New York it was amazing, back then I wasn't afraid of heights and so glad I wasn't. It was a grand vacation.
My journaling of the trip that I remember and the memories of the experience.
Some of the pictures
Close up of the pocket and the home for the book, that will be accessible from the top of the page protector.
The other pocket that has the brochures that Mom collected from the trip and the extra photos. So glad that she keeps a hold of things like this, something that I also do, something we have in common. As I am going through this box of goodies I received from her, I will take the time to find the pictures and try to journal the memories as they come to me and get them scrapped. Something I'll be working on throughout the year.
So many ideas and goals this year, this one will sure be fun as I scrap through those memories.
So this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories is Broadway: anything to do with Broadway or this photo for inspiration!
So that means you could do a layout about your cats, or how about a
layout of your kids dressed up as a cat for Halloween, you could use the
colors, the possibilities are endless with this challenge.
Love to see what you create from this fun challenge this week :)

This layout came about from LOAD515 Day 6: Time to check out a Performer! How about…
Olivia Newton John! From “Grease” to “Let’s Get Physical” and her
brave and public breast cancer battle…she is an inspiration to us all,
in one way or another. How does your story relate? Tell it now: The prompt all that came to mind was this trip to New York City when we saw Grease on Broadway! I loved Olivia's music but I really associate the movie Grease with her the most and that brings me back to the play (which I was lucky enough to see before the movie came out by a few years). I made to interactive pockets for the memorabilia from the trip. I could not find any pictures from this trip other than the pack of prints that Mom bought while we were there. This is an experience that I will never forgot and I got to see the Twin Towers too that trip. So it's easy enough to see how this story related to her. Grease is one of my favorite movies and seeing the play was an AWESOME experience, so when I had heard about the movie coming out I was so excited to see if they stayed true to the play and was pleasantly surprised they did very well, great to see the extra that they added to the movie. So this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories is Broadway: anything to do with Broadway or this photo for inspiration!

songs, MTV, Dick Clark, commercials! Tell the story of how your life has
been touched by TV music. This is the story of how my life was touched by MTV
1981 was when MTV came out,
so cool! Also it was the year this kiddo was born, my son Steven. I got
some personal journaling to do yet about how music has evolves just in my
life time and that year that MTV came out and how it was a help for me
as a Mom at this time
My son Steven :)I look forward to seeing your creation about the 80s :) Chat later and I wish you a great day today :)

Disco....A Lasting Memories Challenge
Good Morning you all :) A bit of a flurry day here as the snow is blowing around so far not much of any accumulation. Today is a Lasting Memories challenge and it's a new month of challenges. That means we have a brand new theme and set of challenges for the month for you over at Lasting Memories! For the month of April our theme is - Musical Montage - and you need to base your layout on the era chosen for each week! For this first challenge it is The Disco Era!
What I created for this challenge:
So glad I have some of these layouts from LOAD515 that I never blogged about that is the perfect fit for this month's theme. Music is such a cool way to talk about your own personal life and what was taking place during that time. So this layout also came from Day 22: Musical Style: Disco. Disco! Can you say glitter, bright lights and big hair? Make a page with a disco feel. That is what I tried to do with the layout is bring out that style of glitter and that glitter ball that was everywhere at that time.
A list not in any special order of some of the songs I remember and that were popular during that time period. A couple of pictures of me from 1976. I can't say that the fads of that era struck me, but the music now that was a good time :)
Thank you for stopping by today and we would love to see what you create about the Disco Era and link it up at Lasting Memories

What does
the disco era mean to you? You can take inspiration from this photo,
from a song, the fashion, anything to do with the disco era.
Disco Era, pictures of me
about that time and a list of tunes plus journaling about my feelings
about Disco. The disco era to me was a cool era :) I loved the music and still enjoy hearing it at times. The dances that were created was easy enough to do and fun too.I brought in lots of glitter to my layout :) and the glitter ball too.
