Looks Like Police Policy On Dangerous Dog Attacks For 2025...

...is to remain mostly utterly fucking useless, just like they did - with a handful of notable exceptions - in 2024.

Three dogs have been seized after an attack at a playing field in Devon led to two dogs being euthanised, police said.

No, not the attacking mutts despatched at the scene, oh, dear me no.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to Exwick Playing Fields on 21 December after reports of dogs attacking "other dogs and humans". The force said two dogs were put to sleep as a result of the attack, while a woman was taken to hospital and treated for puncture wounds. It said a woman, in her 50s, has been identified in connection to the investigation and three dogs remained in police kennels.
Then we have this farce in Nottingham (trigger warning for animal death/police gross incompetence):

It's no surprise the police were so useless, when this is the pathetic attitude of the country's dog warden

To the comments!

I saw this video less than an hour after seeing this one from the States, and thanking my lucky stars we didn't have to put up with useless fat black DEIhires who can't do anything useful when they do turn up, so now, I have to eat my words!

Is This The Straw That Breaks The Camel's Back At Last?

Other mentally ill killers have done so because they claimed they were the son of god, or other delusions. We don't humour them

So why are we all humouring this man's delusion that he's female? When will a true journalist start addressing him as 'he'? When will everyone else involved in this insane process?

Her defence barrister Richard Sutton KC offered no mitigation on behalf of his client, admitting she would probably never be freed from prison. He said: 'One has to look at Ms Blake's background and decide that she is in one sense a dangerous person. It is clear that no parole board will feel she is safe to go back into society.'
Blake sat impassively in the dock as Mr Martin Carreno's brother Geraldo read out a victim impact statement ahead of the sentencing. The grieving brother told the court: [There is no remorse for her actions and makes even more difficult to process the barbarity. We miss him every day and thinking about his life if he had not met Blake that night.'

It's difficult to say who is more in the grip of delusion, the mentally ill killer or the rest of society that appears unable to tell the bald truth about him.

Well, This Government Is Fond Of Legislation On The Hoof...

Last night, Home Secretary James Cleverly furiously lambasted 'do-gooders' who attempt to block the deportation of foreign criminals.
'The vast majority of the British people think convicted, violent thugs should be deported,' he told the MoS. 'My mission is to keep the British people safe. We must be able to remove offenders from our country without interference from misguided and ill-informed do-gooders.'
...so why not bring in jail terms for those who do this? Since it seems you can't rely on the airlines to take action.
A source close to the Home Secretary indicated the Government is examining new measures to stop passengers blocking deportation flights and to speed up removals.
'This is an outrageous situation,' they said. 'We will be looking at new ways to handle this issue.'
Just ensure any airline that refuses to fly them out loses their license to operate, James. Job done!

When Will The SFO Start To Take Notice?

GP surgeries in Sussex could be receiving payments for almost 150,000 "ghost" patients, new figures suggest.

No, I know what you're thinking, this is not, however, patients that GP incompetence has killed off!

This is when more people are registered with GP practices in an area than the estimated population.

So those dragons guarding the front desks at GP practices aren't even doing the basic job of keeping proper records, are they?

The Royal College of GPs said practices "try hard to keep their patient lists" up to date and are not deliberately profiting by keeping more patients on their lists than are registered there. Some of the disparity could be down to changes in the local population, such as people moving away.

Which is a problem with all services, of course. But we pay GPs by the number of patients on their books.

The Taxpayers’ Alliance said the public is unfairly subsidising GP practices for patients who may not exist. It called for lists to be amended accordingly if the unknown users cannot be found.

And if they aren't, given we are talking about our money, perhaps stronger action is required?

Hey 'Mail', You're Spelling 'Deported' Wrong. I Hope?

Muslim pupils who voiced outrage after their teacher showed them a Renaissance painting of nude women will be disciplined, France's Education Minister has vowed.
Still, if not, at least the French arn't sticking their fingers in their ears and their hands over their eyes. As our politicians are doing over the Batley schoolteacher.

Money Well Spent, For Once...

Nearly £590,000 of taxpayers' money has been spent on asking civil servants how they feel about the office and working from home, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
...and I don't say that about civil serpents very often!
The work has been driven by the Government Property Agency (GPA), a quango in charge of all Government office space. It claims to be 'helping transform the way the Civil Service works and reshaping the relationship civil servants have with their place of work'.

Surely the only 'relationship' that counts is 'work gets done, they get paid for it'? If that's happening, who cares where the work is getting done?

Its survey concluded that only three per cent of employees wanted to go back to the office full-time after lockdown.

In which case, can we, the taxpayer, please stop footing the bill for huge expensive offices in London and other major cities?

The GPA calls Leesman a 'world leader in measuring workplace experience'. It told the MoS: 'It is critical that civil servants have a voice that shapes their workplaces so that the spaces we deliver can best support them.'

What about us taxpayers? Don't we get a voice?

The Cabinet Office said: 'These surveys... are used to ensure we can maximise the number of people working in the office. Since 2020 any surveys conducted have not included any questions on working from home. Using independent assessments, we can ensure that money spent on office space delivers true value to taxpayers.'

In other words, the emphasis will be on whipping these people into the office in order to justify having built or leased it in the first place. Why is this so cart before the horse?

'...from Heywood in Rochdale...'

 ...via where?

Sergejus Paskevicius, 60, from Heywood in Rochdale, was arrested and charged for child abduction in July last year. CCTV footage showed him standing by the bagging area of an Aldi in Heywood before he attempted to talk to a young child at around 5.45pm on July 23, 2022.
In what the boys' mother described as 'every parent's worst nightmare', Paskevicius then picked up the toddler and started to walk away from the store.

Luckily the young brother of the toddler intervened.

Robert Elias, mitigating, said Paskevicius may have 'wanted some affection or a cuddle', the Sun reported.

If that's the best you can do...

He was jailed for three years and two months at Manchester Crown Court (Minshull St).

And a deportation order made? Because if not, why not?

Speaking Of 'A Pattern Of Behaviour That Cannot Go On', Rishi...

...let's not just concentrate on the mutts' behaviour. Or that of their owners. Let's look at the behaviour of those paid to protect.
The owner of two XL Bullys that mauled a 52-year-old father to death had been spoken to on several occasions over his out-of-control dogs, according to the police. Father-of-two Ian Price, from Stonnall, Staffordshire, was killed by the two dogs which jumped out of a neighbour's window yards from a primary school on Thursday afternoon. He reportedly died defending his elderly mother from the animals.
While Staffordshire Police is currently questioning a 30-year-old man from South Staffordshire, they said they are 'aware' of previous police interactions with the owner of the killer dogs ...
What did they do? Less than nothing.

Just like they did for the 15-20 minutes it took for terrified neighbours to try to fight off the beasts with whatever they had to hand. Though they did send armed cops to parade uselessly up and down the cordon they erected after it was all over...

Pointless security theatre...

The police said the Professional Standards Department found that 'the material does not meet the threshold for a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct'.

Of course not. Perish the thought! It's only a pattern we see in these attacks again and again and again. They hardly ever come truly out of the blue.

Matt, 43, who declined to be fully identified, told MailOnline yesterday: 'This was an accident waiting to happen but it could have been avoided.
'The dogs should never have been allowed to run free to roam the streets and terrorise the neighbourhood.
'The same dogs attacked a middle-aged woman out walking her little dog six weeks to eight or so ago. They should have been taken away from the owner or put down.
'They are killer dogs, ferocious, with huge powerful jaws, and it is such a shame and makes me so angry that it takes someone to be mauled and pass away for action to be taken.'

It's taken more than just 'someone'. It's taken quite a few - 17 in the last two years. And already the usual suspects are climbing aboard the 'don't take our lovely doggie-woggies' bandwagon.

But if Rishi wants to bring someone to heel, maybe he should be looking at the police a little more closely.

Has The Penny Finally Dropped?

Home Secretary Suella Braverman is now pushing for a ban of the American XL Bully breed, arguing they are a 'clear and lethal danger' - particularly to children.

What took you so long?

On Sunday West Midlands Police launched an investigation into what went wrong.

Oh, this'll be good!

A force spokesman said: 'We're investigating after three people were bitten by a dog in Birmingham yesterday.
'An 11-year-old girl ran past the dog as it was being walked by its owner in Bordesley Green, when she was bitten.
'Two men intervened but were bitten and left with injuries to their shoulders and arms.
'They were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

And you turned up and shot the animal and arrested the owner, right?

Right?

'The dog was initially taken to a local vet to be checked over before being taken into secure kennels while the investigation continues.
'The owner of the dog has been spoken to by officers.'

I think we can clearly see what went wrong - the WMP aren't fit for purpose.

Sadly, There's Nothing 'Shocking' About It...

This is the horrific moment a 76-year-old pensioner and her pet labradoodle were viciously attacked by a crazed dog on the streets of Birmingham - resulting in the woman being hospitalised for four days and her dog savaged.
Usual suspect, usual breed.
Police are urgently hunting for the owner of the white bull-type breed who was filmed dragging the vicious animal off the panicked labradoodle. The unknown man cycled away from the scene afterwards, leaving the stunned pensioner injured on the ground.
Usual reaction from the owner of this sort of weapon dog. This won't be the first time it's attacked, either.
Inspector Leanne Chapman, from the force's Dangerous Dog Unit, said: 'The video makes shocking viewing, and you can see the sheer force that the victim is hit with.'
'We believe the dog involved may be a bull breed, and it's really important that we hear from anyone who knows the man in the images so that we can take steps to protect the public from harm in the future.'

With stunning deductive skills like that, this'll be wrapped up in no time, right>

Yes, It’s One Of Those Again…

One witness said the dog, after it had slipped its lead, ran towards two children before their grandad managed to lock them in his car.
He said: "The man who was walking the dog... tried to stop it and received massive injuries.
"He managed to get inside the gate to get away from the dog. The police attended and managed to seize the dog and close the road."

Why 'seize it'? Why not call armed officers to shoot the mutt then and there?

Well, Kiddies, Keep Your Mouths Shut, Then!

A poisonous plant on an overgrown path close to a primary school has raised concerns about children's safety.
The head teacher of Bucklesham Primary School in Suffolk said pupils had to walk in the road to avoid the hemlock, which can be fatal if ingested.

Unless they walk to school with their mouths open like basking sharks, what 'danger' are they really in?

A village parish councillor warned "children's lives are at stake" and called for the plant's urgent removal.

Good grief, is this village entirely chock-full of hysterical risk-averse ninnies?

Suffolk County Council said Monday was the earliest it was able to clear the path because a road closure was needed.

Oh. That's a big 'Yes!' then...

"... the thorny issue of whether or not panthers, lynx and black leopards roam Scotland has been taken seriously by several official bodies."

Clearly, not official bodies who understand that panthers and black leopards are the same animal...
Researchers obtained 86 pages of correspondence and pictures under freedom of information laws from Police Scotland, the Scottish Government and NatureScot.

Oh, impeccable sources then! And yes, Reader, there are pictures. Out of focus, fuzzy pictures. That clearly show large black cats.

None of them black leopards! Or even wild boar

They include tantalising reports about spates of livestock killings where sheep carcasses were stripped of meat in a way which didn’t resemble fox or bird attacks, and one officer who recorded three to four sightings of a big cat.

A wee dram or two taken, perchance..?

...a police officer told Scottish Wildcat Action about ‘lots of reports of big cat sightings and activity on the north coast’. The officer said: ‘I was present when a ewe was brought in off the hill with two puncture marks on the front of her right shoulder and two at the back of it. The wounds were over three inches apart.’ Other carcasses had ‘very large puncture marks into bone’.

Better add 'jaguar' to the list of imaginary beasts roaming in the gloaming then...

But Don't They Already, Ben-Julian?

Admittedly it's usually down to sloth and indifference, but I don't think the crime victims care what the reason is...
Ben-Julian Harrington, who heads Essex Police, fears scores of officers are leaving the profession because they can't afford to pay their rent and household bills.
He said many officers are taking on second jobs to make ends meet or leaving forces to become scaffolders, taxi or train drivers because it pays better.
'We won't keep cutting crime if PCs can't afford to be cops,' he warned yesterday.

I don't think you are cutting crime, are you?

Stop 'Restraining' Them And Start Shooting Them!

Cardiff:
In Cardiff on Tuesday evening, members of the public bravely intervened to protect a dog that was being viciously attacked by another dog. The shocking scene unfolded on Connaught Road in Roath, with witnesses describing the chaos and efforts of the public to restrain the aggressive animal. Eyewitnesses recounted the horrifying moment when a large dog, resembling a pitbull, "locked its jaws around a white cockapoo", causing severe injuries and leaving a pool of blood on the pavement.
“Loads of people came out of their houses and there were people screaming. Loads of police turned up and armed police too and they were spraying it with some sort of gas. They were here until about 8.50pm so it took a while. People then came up and scrubbed the street. It was horrific.”
Coventry:
Footage of a dog attack, after which an animal was Tasered before being contained in a wheelie bin, has been released by police. The move was necessary to stop the "out of control" animal which posed a risk to people nearby, including children, police said.
"Contrary to reports on social media, the dog was not hit by a police car and was not killed," said West Midlands Police."Despite speculation" the animal is safe and well and being looked after in kennels, police said.

Is this failure to do what needs to be done because of the efforts of the 'Aww, poor doggie!' crowd and the #pitnutters to try to have the cop that did what was necessary in Limehouse charged with something?

Because if so, someone's going to get seriously hurt or even killed if they keep being so hesitant even when they have armed officers on scene...

'If It Wasn't For Double Standards' Pt 782345...

Police officers under investigation for discipline offences should have to hand over data from their personal mobile phones, Doreen Lawrence has said.

Wait a minute...

Police and prosecutors have been told to stop the mass collection of personal information from rape victims or face being fined by the UK’s data watchdog.

Hmmm....

The home secretary, Suella Braverman, is yet to respond to the proposals, a spokesperson for the mayor said.

Just how long does it take to write 'Go f*** yourself, Doreen' anyway?

Saturday, 3 June 2023

" I am sick of being blamed when I did the legal thing and handed the dog over to the police."

More on this incident:
Geroge (sic) had been rehomed to the teenager's family less than 24 hours before. His previous owners had another dog and the two pets were not getting on. The family was trying to move to a bigger house so the dogs could be in separate rooms. But having failed to find a suitable property they had rehomed George with a family friend rather than keep both of them caged up.

Because if you have a mutt that 'doesn't get on' with your current pet, to the point where you can't keep them together, what better to do with it than 'rehome' it to another irresponsible tattooed chav?

Speaking for the previous owners, Laura Wicks commented: 'I had this dog with me. He also lived with my sister and her children. 'He wasn't aggressive. An eye witness said he was not aggressive towards anyone at the park. I (sic) was just because of the breed of him.'

That's not what other eyewitnesses say...

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: ' No-one, other than the owner of the dog, was injured during the incident. Their injuries are described as bite marks. They added that the dog was put down with the agreement of the owner...
Meanwhile, in London:
Another neighbour called the police at 8.52am, who arrived with riot shields and blocked off the road. However, Anthoney said that officers were reluctant to go near the dog.

It's about time police started dealing with thrse things they way they'd deal with escaped zoo animals...

Shutting The Kennel Door...

Downing Street says work is underway to try and reduce dog attacks following a spate of incidents in Greater Manchester and across the country. Now, Downing Street says police, councils and animal welfare experts are teaming up to explore ways to reduce dog attacks and promote responsible ownership.
“There have been some horrific cases and our thoughts and sympathies are with those that have been affected,” the Prime Minister’s official spokesman told PA.

...after the fighting breeds have bolted.

One thing you could do is issue stronger guidance to police farces to use the tools and opportunities they have to ensure none of these things can do it again:

North Yorkshire Police have had to evacuate a village recreation ground near Selby after a dog attacked its owner. The force said: “Police were called to Thorpe Willoughby at around 10.26am on 30 May to a report of a large, aggressive dog that was biting its owner.
"The dog was eventually contained in a high fenced area of a local park and the park was evacuated."

Great! Even the Elmer Fudds of the northern force can't miss, surely?

"Officers contacted a number of animal experts including veterinary practices, the RSPCA, local zoos and wildlife park to request assistance with bringing the dog safely under control." "
The dog, described as an American bulldog and weighing around 50 kilogrammes, was eventually sedated by a vet and safely moved to a kennel."

What a pity Shotgun Cop wasn't taking a well earned break in Yorkshire...

Police have seized dangerous dog on the loose after a teenage girl was attacked. Cops in Port Clarence were hunting the XL Bully-type breed after the 15-year-old was mauled and seriously injured on Monday night.
A spokesperson for the force has since confirmed the dog, understood to be aged between four and five, has been seized.
Cleveland Police told The Mirror on Tuesday morning that no arrests had been made in connection with the attack and an investigation is ongoing into what happened.

What more is there to 'investigate'..?

So, It Takes Two To Tango...

...but apparently only one to breach the peace:

When they say 'further action' you just know they aren't talking about the eco-loons, don't you? The observers to their actions certainly do:

During the struggle, the officer says: 'You are f*****g assaulting people'.
The van's driver shouts at the officers to 'get off my truck' while a passing taxi driver shouts out of his window that it is 'absolutely disgusting'.
Another person, who cannot be seen on camera, tells the officers to 'give the guy a break, he's just trying to get to work'.

They've forgotten they police by consent. As the commenters at Longrider's site point out, this won't end well.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor said: 'I completely understand the frustration and anger of London's communities when protesters walk slowly in the roads and must wonder why we do not just arrest them.
'Police have legal obligations connected with our response to protest and we must police peaceful protest in a proportionate manner.'

Blocking the highway is not 'peaceful protest', and you know that all too well.

'Therefore, I urge people not to intervene and to let police deal with the situation.'

We've seen that you aren't prepaared to, though.

Which 'Public' Would Be Interested In Keeping Him, Then?

Despite Kodra's conviction for managing a brothel, possessing criminal property and possession of false ID he has been told he can remain in Britain.

I should be speechless, but...

Upholding his appeal against deportation on human rights grounds, Judge Cordella Bart-Stewart said: 'There is no evidence that he poses a risk to the public.
'He is a clever and industrious young man with the potential to contribute much to society. He has a home here and support.'

Remember when we were told female judges would bring a unique perspective to their role and ensure women and children would be recognised and their rights upheld? Wonder if this was what they meant...

'He would be able to work. I find that the public interest does not require the appellant to be deported from the United Kingdom.'

Really? Are we short of home-grown criminal talent, then?

She also noted that he had 'severe haemophilia' and would not have access to the same level of treatment in Albania – affecting his life expectancy.
Kodra claimed asylum in the UK when he was 15 and was granted limited leave to remain before appealing to extend it in 2017.
After an initial rejection he was granted leave for a further 18 months in July 2019 – the month he was arrested for running the brothel.

It is to laugh, isn't it?
