Spring Break 2022

 April 3-6, 2022

Jas and I decided to get away for a couple of days during his Spring Break.  It is really weird not having our kids go with us so we took Reggie in their place and we had a blast.  We headed to St. George so we could hike, bike and see Brightyn.  The weather did not disappoint and we had so much fun together.  

One of the days we did a 20 mile bike ride along the Virgin River. We started our ride by our Hotel, The Hyatt,  and rode up to Washington Fields .  The ride is so beautiful.  Jas rode with Reggie the whole way.  Around the half way mark the winds picked up and it was a rough 10 miles back.  Jas was the real MVP hauling Reggie the whole way.  Reggie was a trooper!

We did a hike called Hellhole Trail which is located near the Kayenta development in Ivins.  It was BEAUTIFUL!  I'm so glad I found the trail.  It was about 3.4 miles round trip.  You follow the wash all the way up.  Which is an old riverbed.  So your shoes fill with a lot of red sand.  The best part of the this trail is that there was NO one else on it besides two other men.  So it doesn't seem to be a popular trail at all.  We were surrounded by red rock the whole way.  Reggie had a blast but was completely exhausted at the end.

We saw Brightyn in between her classes and working.  It was fun to spend some time with her going to dinner and just hanging out!

I definitely recommend walking through Washington Fields. The trail is absolutely beautiful!

We had so much fun together just biking, hiking, walking, laughing, eating and relaxing!  I love the simple times when I get to just hang with my best friend and lover, Jas. We always have so much fun!
