Spring has Sprung!

April 7, 2024
The tree blossoms at the Capitol are a sight to see. It is such a pretty time of the year.  Brightyn wanted to go out while the trees were blooming and take a few pictures.  It was conference Sunday so we headed out to the Capitol right after the first session ended.  The rest of Utah had the same idea.  haha.  It was busy.  It looks warm but it was freezing cold.  We walked around a few times and really enjoyed all the beauty.

Vegas for Spring Break!

April 1-4, 2024
We decided to take a quick trip to Vegas to see Jas's sister Jackie and his Aunt Mardi & Uncle Ron. Uncle Ron's health hasn't been great so Jas really wanted to go see him.  It was a fun quick trip. We were able to go to lunch with Mardi & Ron, which was so nice.  I think they really enjoyed it.  Especially since Ron has been in and out of the hospital the past few months and hasn't really left the house.  We also spent a couple of evenings visiting Jackie which also really nice. (I'm sad I forgot to snap a picture with them all!)
On our way down we stopped in St George to eat at our favorite mexican place, Angelica's.  After eating we decided to go see Gunlock Falls. The water was really flowing!

Jas found us this hike in Vegas to do.  We saw wild Burros, which was a first for us.  They were actually very cute.  It was a fun hike. It was supposed to be a hike with two waterfalls.  If you look closely in this picture you can see what a Vegas waterfall looks like!  haha.   Not much water but it was still a lot of fun exploring and with some rock climbing too.  Jas was a good sport. We think we found the 2nd falls but we weren't sure.  haha. I was actually impressed there was even water on this trail.

Disneyland 2024

February 15-19, 2024
Jas had to travel as the administrator with the Northridge Cheer Team to California for their nationals competition.  So I tagged along so we could play at Disney.  We had a total blast.  We got up early every day so we could get all our favorite rides in. We would go all morning then come back for a nap or the competition in the afternoon and the head back out in the evening for some more rides.  We were like young kids.  We learned the tricks to getting on rides quicker and made the most of our 3 days at Disney. We were able to ride 28 rides! We rode the Incredicoaster 3 times.  haha

Jas ruled Toon Town!  haha He had more fun than the little kids.

This year we lucked out and didn't have any rain which we were so grateful for. Last year all it did was rain the entire time and it was miserable!
Of course every day I had to have my favorite Disney treat!  The raspberry rosewater Mickey Macaron!  There isn't a better treat, baked good or cookie out there.  This is hands down THE BEST!

Of course I'm still the reigning champion of Web Slingers!  I toasted Jas once again!  hahahaha

We even found time for the fire work show one evening!

Our favorite ride is the Rise of the Resistance Stars Wars ride.  You can't lightening lane this ride unless you pay additional $25 for just that ride every day.  So we would rush over around 9:20pm right as the firework show was going to start and every time the line was not long at all.  I think the longest we waited for that ride was 35-40 minutes. It is the greatest ride!  You feel like you are in the movie!

Places to eat:

The Jolly Holiday:  Mickey Macaron and their pecan salad. Tomato soup and cheese sandwich

Pym Test Kitchen: This as the first time we had eaten here. It was good and fun. They make tiny little stuff with big stuff.  Like their "Not so little chicken sandwich".  Where the bun is tiny and the chicken is huge!  haha

The Hungry Bear Restaurant:  Jas really like the cheeseburger and I enjoyed the BBQ chicken salad.

Bengal Barbecue: They have yummy meat and veggie kabobs which they serve with this yummy jasmin rice and this amazing citrus-miso slaw salad.  The only downside is that the portion size is tiny.  Won't really fill you.

Ballet West Nutcracker 2024

Another year of my favorite Christmas tradition.  It never disappoints!  Grammy wasn't feeling well so I'm so glad she was able to get better quickly so she could come with us.  I'm excited for next year because we will have my Brightyn Anne back to go with us.  I have missed having Brightyn with us for our girls Nutcracker Christmas tradition.  It just doesn't feel complete without her.

These are the BEST seats. After years and years of attending the Nutcracker I think I have finally found my favorite seats. So I always take a picture of the ticket so next year I can grab the same seats!

Fall 2023

Our annual LDS General Conference drive!

Ocotober 1, 2023

This year it was just Jas, Reggie and I but we had a beautiful time listening to conference and seeing all God's beauty!

I have been doing a ton of hiking with friends this Fall. I have enjoyed every minute of God's art work.  The world is just plain stunning when all the leaves change.  It is breathtaking.

October 20, 2023

It is Fall Break for Jas so we decided to do one of our favorite hikes up Ogden Canyon.  We brought Berklee and Olive along for the fun as well. Once again mother nature did not disappoint!  The yellow colors were amazing! Hiking just soothes my soul!

The Eclipse

Jason's friend captured this amazing picture of the eclipse!  It was a super cloudy day so it was harder to see the eclipse but the pictures were awesome.

This is 50!!

August 25, 2023
I really can't believe I'm 50!!  What!!  Sometimes I still feel like I'm in my twenties. I feel like I blinked and suddenly here I am a half a century old.  I love my life and I feel so grateful for my good health, my husband who I adore and my three beautiful children that are the light of my life! I feel like I have achieved all I ever wanted to in this life by having this amazing family to share my life with.  Don't worry I still have many, many, many more bucket list items I need to achieve in this life time.

My boss's Bret and Annette Fielding sent these beautiful flowers to me on my birthday.  I'm truly so lucky to be able to work for such amazing people.  I lucked out in the job department for sure!
My sweet Brev came by on my birthday with a bouquet of flowers and to hug me for my birthday!
I love these people!  They bring so much joy to my life!

This awesome guy spoiled me all weekend!  I love him to the moon!  He is my everything!  And no, he can never be serious in a picture.  But that is one of the things I love most about him.  He always can make me laugh!

Don't worry the whole neighborhood knew how old I was turning!  haha
