HAPPY 11th BIRTHDAY BRIGHTYN--November 29, 2013!
Happy Birthday to this amazing, creative, kind hearted, talented, smart, funny, witty and sweet girl! I can't imagine our family without her. She is the bright spot in our lives! I really can't believe that she is eleven! My baby is growing up way too quickly!
It is the year of the family party so Brightyn decided she wanted to go to a movie and dinner. We saw Catching Fire. In this theater all of the seats are recliner chairs, like a Lazy Boy chair!! If you haven't been to a theater like this, you need to go immediately. I don't think any of us can go back to regular theater chairs after this experience. It was AMAZING and extremely comfortable!!
After the movie we went to Texas Roadhouse because Brightyn LOVES their rolls! We embarrassed her and told them it was her birthday. They made her sit on a saddle while they gave her a BIG YEEHAW!! She was so embarrassed that she wouldn't look up!
Then it was present opening time!
She got her combat boots, a leather jacket. jewelry, lip gloss, lego friends, a nutcracker and her favorite Lindor truffles! Her biggest surprise of all was her bow and arrows. Last year Brightyn earned a goal at school and for her reward she wanted a bow and arrow set. We got her one, but it wasn't the right one and she was very disappointed. So we made sure this time that we got the correct one. She was thrilled!
Our little Katniss had a blast all weekend shooting arrows into the pumpkins and cardboard boxes.
An "ice cream cupcake" cake!
Brightyn and I love to watch Cupcake Wars and we love cupcakes! So when I saw this cute "cupcake" cake on pinterest I knew this would be her birthday cake this year!
Happy Birthday Sweet Brightyn!
It was such a fun weekend celebrating!

38 years young!!
Dad's favorite cake, better than everything cake. He requests it every year!! Brightyn helped Dad blow out the candles. Yeah, I know we don't have 38 candles on the cake. We didn't want to start a fire! HEHE
Today is Jason's birthday! I just want to wish my man a super happy birthday. I want him to know how much we love and appreciate him!! We are very lucky to have such a great guy in our lives that loves and takes such good care of us. Here a few words to describe Jason: funny, deeply caring, concerned, devoted, hard working, intelligent, & loving. Brevin says, "I love to play sports with Dad, any sports!" Brightyn says, "I love to dance with Daddy!!" Berklee loves how Dad helps her with her math homework!! I love how supportive and loving he has been to me for 17 years! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!

Happy Birthday Berklee!!!
Happy, Happy 11th Birthday Berklee. Look at the cute gymnastics leo Berklee got for her American Girl Doll. I love it that Berklee still loves her doll and wants to dress & play with her. Berklee got a lot of cute doll outfits. Brightyn loves Berklee and wants to be apart of everything she does.
Every year I make a fun & creative cake for each child's birthday. This year Berklee just wanted banana cream pie. I was sad that I didn't get to make my cake. Dad was really happy because he LOVES banana cream pie. So I had to Hollyize it with some fun candles and sprinkles.
Berklee was born on President's Day exactly 11 years ago. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. In another year she will be a teenager. UGH!!! I love her dearly and have enjoyed being her Mom these past 11 years!!!
Brightyn helped Berklee unwrap her gifts. She loves her big sis, Berklee!!!

We had a fun day today together as a family. Every other year we have a friend party. This year was the off year. So instead of the friend party Berklee got to choose what we do as a family for her birthday. She decided to go bowling. We had a blast! Of course Dad won and wouldn't stop bragging about it. After bowling we went to the pet store and played with the dogs. We are all dog starved. We need to get a dog soon. Then we finished up our fun afternoon with icecream from Dairy Queen. It was fun to have her birthday fall on a Holiday so that she didn't have school and we could play. Happy Birthday Berklee I!!
