Two little birdy fobs finished. Tiny pieces cut and prepared, waiting so long to be sewn. They are fiddly and annoying to make, but oh so cute when finished.
The bird fob is part of a sewing set with pincushion and needlecase designed by Diane Leftwich. This is the original set I made quite a few years ago. Every now and then I make a new little bird because they are so sweet.
Just when I thought my work dramas had settled down, my new boss has quit after only two months. Never a dull moment here! I think I'll just enjoy a long weekend of sewing and try not to think about it.
Happy stitching,
Susan x
They are gorgeous Susan and worth all the extra effort taken. It's a beautiful set and makes a very pretty picture. Perfect timing for a long week end away from work.

ReplyDeletevery cute little birdies! I have to be in the mood to make tiny little things that are annoying to make! Yikes - what did you say to your boss that they quit after only two months?! Part of this long weekend will be taken up with work for me with the Australia Day festivities on Monday, so hope to get some stitching time in at some stage!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you make more. They are adorable.:)
ReplyDeleteThose birds are so sweet and definitely worth the effort.

ReplyDeleteWell, I agree with what you wrote, but not with all of it. Regardless, its all good material. Thanks!Daily Live TV
ReplyDeleteOoh, I have that pattern somewhere - those birdies are so cute but will have to wait for a time when I have the patience to do something fiddly (probably never!) Pity about your boss - that sort of thing doesn't inspire confidence. I hope you can forget about work and enjoy the long weekend, Susan. We're having a barbecue at home for a group of Pete's old friends tomorrow night -they've all been mates since they were at school together in Forbes. They have planned all sorts of things to do over the weekend - my plans involve sewing and reading.
