A Present

When we got back from work there were plastic bags hanging on every door in the street.
We had one on our door too.

Inside was this pot with plant bulbs in it.
It turned out to be a present from the organisation that we rent our house from. They gave it to everyone because of the start of the renovation in our neighbourhood. If we got it to celebrate the start of the renovation or if they wanted to console us because of the start of the renovation I do not know.

Early Easter Fun!

At the catering service at work they have decorated for Easter.
Can you spot me among all the chickens?

The rooster on my left has a motion-censor and makes noise everytime someone walks by.
The sign above his tail says: Easter Fried Eggs

I couldn't resist playing a bit with all the decoration stuff

They even put baby chickens among the donuts.
I hope no one eats them by accident.

Lots of pictures today

It was another lovely spring day so after a relaxing morning we went out for a walk this afternoon. As you can see I enjoyed myself with some sunning among the flowers.

Me and Coco taking a short rest.

The sheep were also enjoying the lovely weather.

More clouds and a little bridge across the 'Reitdiep'.

Sun, flowers and a happy McPig.

Checking out a rusty part of a fence. I hope it will hold or the farmer who's fence this is will lose his sheep.

Another break, this time in Garnwerd, the far end of our trip.

On our way back we past this old church in Oostum. It's really beautiful and has a small graveyard so we went there to check it out.

At the back of the church there were some wooden chairs.
I tried one out, but it was a bit big for me.

I love the old and weathered look of these tombstones.

Allthough some are so weathered that you can hardly read them anymore.

I've been told that at one time in history they started charging taxes for every window a house had. Churches had lots of windows ofcourse so a lot of the churches sealed up windows to save on taxes. It seems they also did that at this church.

Work in progress, a pic for Eve and Flowers yet again

We had to work again today. On our way to work we made this picture.
At the moment they're working at serveral places along the road to work. Not on saturday luckily, but here you can see one of the places they worked on this week. I do not know what they're doing, but the pavement isn't that great to begin with and after they break it open and replace it, it's even worse.

A looking glass picture especially for Eve.

And on our way home I took a short rest on this sundial thingie.

Spring Pigs and more Flowers

Urok Burok already mentioned two days ago that spring is in the air and today I have to agree with him:
The first Spring Pigs have been sited! Aren't these little wild boars adorable?!

On to more flowers. You might have guessed by now that I love flowers and I can't help to ask for a picture if I sight some new ones. Today this led to me and my owner stopping at the side of the road, laying down our bike and taking this picture. As my owner was crouching to get a better shot we heard someone ask in a concerned tone: 'Are you alright? What happened?'
It turned out to be a collegue who thought that we had fallen with our bike. We had to explain to him that everything was fine and that we were just taking a picture.

A blossoming tree.
You should have smelled this tree, it smelled very sweet.

Wall art, stuff and Piglet

I wanted to show you the weird wall art that is on the wall of the room where we work when we're doing Back Office work. It's made out of expired sim cards and as you can see it's Pacman and some space invader thingies. I do not know who made it, it's there as long as we've worked here.

Me helping out my owner by typing some notes for her.

In our break we played around with the camera and took this pic.

In the evening I made a disturbing discovery!
I found this little Piglet in a mailtray, carelessly abandoned by his owner, next to a little buddha guy who was also abandoned. I'm lucky my owner takes better care of me.

Work, Clouds, Flowers and a Cat

Another day at the catering service today. I always get tempted by all the delicious food there.

After work we cycled home. There was a beautiful sky.

Another pic of the clouds a little bit further along the same street.

'There's lots of these yellow flowers all along the road to work at the moment.

When we got home there was a growling cat sitting at the sidewalk in front of our house.
It turned out that there was another cat hiding under the car and apparently this cat didn't like the other cat.
