We woke up this morning to find the peaks surrounding Queenstown covered in snow! Since we're here in April (Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere) I thought we'd miss out on seeing the snow--the peaks have been mostly brown and gray. But now we get to see them all covered in snow! Yippee!
Another beautiful thing we've seen here is loads of Autumn color. We don't get much of that in Southern California so I've never really seen the colors of fall in all their glory. But Arrowtown, where Jerry and I went panning for gold, is known for it's fall colors so on the bus ride over we saw hillsides covered in gold and red leaves. I'll post pictures when I can . It was beautiful.
