EVESDROPPING

Anastyn is our little talker. She is not quite two, but she has been talking for a very long time. (Horrible mother that doesn't document when these milestones start happening.) She speaks in sentences pretty much and amazes us with the things she says - out of nowhere.

Matty talks too. We are so happy with the progress she is making. But sometimes she says things a little differently. And if you aren't someone that speaks her language, you probably wouldn't have any idea what she says most of the time. I am getting pretty good at interpreting.

What is cute is that Anastyn speaks Matty's language. I love to evesdrop on their conversations. Sometimes I cannot understand what is being said...but they do. It is the cutest thing ever.

This morning I was evesdropping via the baby monitor. Anastyn had just woke up...and like she does every morning without fail, starts yelling, "MOM!!!", "MOMMMMMMY!". Usually I rush up to get her before she wakes Matty up (and everyone else in the house). Well, just as I am about to jump out of bed, I hear Matty say something. So, since she was already awake, I decided to just lay there and listen.

Matty got out of bed, went over to the door, went out of the room, and shut the door. That upset Anastyn and she cried. Matty came back in and the conversation went something like this:

Matty: "Lock a door Matty."

Anastyn: no comment

Matty: "Scared?"

Anastyn: "Mmmm hmmmm"

Matty: "I back."

I thought it was cuter than heck. It was so fun to actually understand what was being said between big sister and little sister. And this time Matty was doing all the talking, which is wonderful!!!

That is such an awesome story. I love those times when sisters talk..it is so much fun to listen (although sometimes scary in my case because they repeat things I have said to them) gotta watch what I say more often. Glad you guys had a great Christmas.
