Plug in to This . . .

Electric Day was the first release from the band called You. It is also the only one which features a guitarist and drummer. Albin Meskes and Udo Hanten produced three more lps in the 80s as a duo. They are still performing as You at festivals. This is my favorite lp by the group; I like drums and guitar in the mix. Ulrich Weber played guitar on this lp and Lhan Gopal was the drummer. The main instrument on this and the lps to follow is the synthesizer.

Rockin' Down Under

Colossus is Cybotron's second lp, released in 1979. Geoff Green and Steve Braund are joined by new drummer, Colin Butcher who also plays synthesizers. Butcher is clearly a rock drummer as you'll hear on these tunes. 4 long tracks reaching for deep space.

Cosmic Keys

Here is one of my favorite records from Jean-Pierre Decerf. He recorded 2 promotional lps for Pema Music, which is a Chicago 2000 sub, in 1978 and 1979. This was the first. As with most library releases there is no info on musicians who contributed their talents (substantial on this one) to the recordings. The main sound on Keys of Future is synthesizers. There is also some splendid drumming and the occasional Floydian guitar.
