the comet.......

The comet arrived in 1986 and he blow the minds of the ones who liked their New Age Music a little cosmic. The titles of course all are of a cosmic nature. Such as The Comet, Orion, Plejades, Black Hole, etc.....
I deeply dig every song on this record and I hope you'll enjoy it too. More info and copies galore

Cheers, Basso

Savant Wings

view from the deck

Happy new year folks!

The growing bin PROUDLY presents a wonderful, deep and eclectic mix by L.A. based musician, hobby gardener, cat & dog friend and music lover Wolfgang a.k.a. Zuckerzeit a.k.a. Zucker Chimney.
Being a big fan of his mixes I am correspondingly VERY happy to host one of these beauties now .

Please spread your "Savant Wings" and take an hour long trip around the music world starting in Wolfgang's garden in California (see pics). Fly over to Germany, or to Japan, Spain and Brasil. From Norway over Hungary to the Netherlands, Mexico or Africa and back to Japan - then listen again : )

Deep in the Bamboo Cosmos

Peaceful Solutions was a collaboration between Kirby Shelstad and Richard Allen, two musicians from Nashville, Tennessee. This, their first lp, was released in 1984. Richard Allen made the instruments he is playing from bamboo. Various flutes including shakuhachi and transverse, whistles and bamboo saxophones were among the instruments used on this recording. Kirby Shelstad added synthesizers, vibraphone and various percussion instruments. The music is a kind of a folk/new age fusion and the result is unbelievable.

Aetheral Swimsuit

Bliss is the word. Just imagine it was summer.... I can tell you this lovely LP works pretty nice with some sand under your feet............. Here's Suzanne Ciani's first LP from 1982. A trip and a peaceful one. I would have called her a new age pianist, if I didn't read a tiny bit about her work.... so now I'll call her a classical music composer. Anyway - this one is out on CD, so I won't keep the link up for a long time. There's also a bunch of used LPs to be found in the web! I hope you guys understand that I won't react to reupping requests after a week or two. I just want to promote wonderful stuff like this.
