Simple Halloween Mixed Media Layout | Helen Gullett

Hello everyone... Helen is here with a simple Halloween mixed media scrapbook layout. On my layout today, I use the Wicked Fun cutting file and the Road Trip Printable.

On the background 12x12 cardstock, I sprayed the yellow Marabu Art Spray. I let it dry on the side while I work on the cutting.

I used the spider web and title from the Wicked Fun cutting file on this layout. I enlarged the spider web to fit on the background cardstock. Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut it with black cardstock and then I added some of the Shimmer Creative Medium for extra glitter and sprakle on the web. It dried pretty quick. After that, I added the spider web on the base cardstock with adhesive glue.

I printed and cut the tag from the Road Trip Printable. I wrote the date and glued the tag behind the photo. Then, I added them on top of the spider web with adhesive glue.

I cut out the sentiment with yellow and black cardstocks and stacked them together to get the shadow effect on the die cuts. I also added some of the Shimmer Creative Medium on the word "First" for the shimmer and sparkle.  And then, I added both die cut words on the page using adhesive glue.

I am so happy that I am making progress with finishing my daughter's baby album.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day...

Bible Journaling With Printable Files | Helen Gullett

Hello everyone... Helen is here. Today I have a couple Bible journaling pages to share with you all using printable files from The Cut Shoppe.

Here are the printable files I used on my journaling page today:

The Road Trip Printable you can grab this set at The Cut Shoppe Store, but the Summer Sizzle set, you can grab it for free when you join The Cut Shoppe Scrap Spot Facebook Group.

On my first Bible journaling page, I used both printable sets on my ESV Journaling Bible.
First, I open the files with Silhouette Studio Software, and then activate the Print-and-Cut feature on the software.
I printed the files with inkjet printer on heavyweight white cardstock and then cut them with my Silhouette Cameo.
That easy!

On my Bible page, I added some watercolor paint and dried it with craft heater. Then I added the printable pieces on the page with dries-clear adhesive glue. And then I wrote highlight verse that I want to remember in the journaling space.

On my second Bible journaling page, I used the Summer Sizzle set and the All Tied Up Alpha Cut File on my ESV Interleave Journaling Bible. It has large full page for journaling.

I cut the alphabet set with heavyweight white cardstock, and then I colored them with Gelato Metallic  Blueberry and waterbrush. I set them aside to dry.

While waiting, painted the grass at the bottom of the page using Gelato Green Tea and baby wipe. After the painted grass dried, I added the printable pieces on the page using dries-clear adhesive glue. Then, I added the alphabets on the pages saying Stand Firm and wrote the phrase "In The Lord" using Micron Pen.

I hope you all enjoy this simple post today. Thank you so much for stopping by!

New Cut Files | Together Is the Best Place to Be

Hello, and happy NEW Cut File day!  We've got a great variety of designs, for you to choose from today!  Lately, we have been adding designs that work great in your Traveler's Notebooks, but could be used for other projects too.  So make sure you check out all of the cut files and our new Printable!  I combined the new Tall Titles cut file with the Endless Summer Printable, for a layout in my Traveler's Notebook.

When I sat down to work on this TN layout, I knew I wanted to use the Pickin' Flowers Printable paper for one side.  I thought about what would coordinate best with it, and went with the Simple & Sweet collection from Pinkfresh Studio. I used the Pickin' Flowers pattern on the right hand side of my layout, and went with White for the left hand side.  I wanted the left of the layout to be less busy, because I planned to use the Tall Titles cut file to create a large title, that could be backed with one of the patterned papers from Simple & Sweet.

Once I had the title finished, I placed my photo on the right side.  I printed it in Black & White to add a nice contrast.  Then I used some embellishments from the Simple & Sweet ephemera pack.  And I thought it would be fun to stamp a few sentiments on the ephemera labels, using the 2018 Summer of Sketches Stamp from Studio Calico.  I finished the layout with a few coordinating enamel dots, and a puffy sticker layered over my photo.

I hope you've been inspired with some ideas for using our newest cut files!  Make sure you visit The Cut Shoppe Etsy store to check them all out!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

let love grow | orange gearle

Hello! Orange Gearle here with a new spread in my Traveler's Notebook. I used THREE different items from The Cut Shoppe

This layout is in my "junk journal" style TN that I made with patterned papers. Some of my pages are smaller -- and this left side was perfect for my title! I used the Super Star Alpha for part of my title. Did you know that The Cut Shoppe has Traveler's Notebook files? For the right side, I used the heart decorative page from Love Rules Traveler's Notebook!   They are sized perfectly for a standard TN, and I love the extra fun they add!  Finally I used the printable available in the shop called The Road Trip. Even though this isn't about a road trip, I couldn't resist those cute flowers! They were perfect for this one!  Here's a look at the cut files I used.

Here are a couple of close up photos of my project:

This alpha. I know I am going to use this over and over again. I love the stars!!

I also made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!
