Love This | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here sharing a layout in my life crafted album.  For my final project for The Cut Shoppe, I chose to create a spread using one of my favorite cut files- the Love Rules cut file.

Here's a look at the layout and cut file:

To begin the spread, I cut out the heart TN portion of the cut file using white cardstock.  I adhered it to a patterned paper sized to fit in the album.  Next, I did some machine stitching around the edges of the cut file.  I added my photo and used some wood veneer hearts as embellishment, adding them to the hearts that were cut out in the cut file.  I also added a rainbow sticker and wood veneer heart to frame the photo.

For the other side of the layout, I adhered a strip of the same patterned paper to the left side of the page and did more machine stitching around the edges.  I layered some tags and a label and created my title using a puffy word sticker and stamping.  To complete the page, I added my journaling in strips below the title and added a few more wood veneer hearts.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I have enjoyed my time here, sharing projects using the awesome cut files from The Cut Shoppe store!

Happy Love Day | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  It's Marsha back again today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook album.  I couldn't resist creating one more Valentine's Day project before the month was over!  I used the fun Love Rules cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

Here's a look at the layout:

Here's the cut file:

For my spread today, I am documenting a photo of my youngest son with his Valentine treat bags for school.  He loved making goodies for his friends and teachers!

To begin my layout, I printed out the cut file using white cardstock and backed it with a plaid patterned paper from my stash.  I love using the TN sized cut files, because they don't require much embellishment but look awesome on a page!  I stamped the word "happy" using a stamp set from Elle's Studio and black ink.  To complete the title, I used puffy letter stickers to spell out "day" and stamped the date using a roller date stamp.  To complete this page, I added a puffy heart sticker to the heart portion of the cut file.

For the other side of the layout, I used a grid paper as the base.  I added my photo and used a variety of ephemera pieces to create a grid on the page, overlapping the photo with some of them.

Next, I added more stamping using two stamp sets from Elle's Studio.  To finish off the page, I added some staples and faux stitching to a couple of spots on the layout.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope I have inspired you to use one of the awesome Traveler's Notebook cut files from The Cut Shoppe on your next project!

Beautiful Everyday Life | Mandy Melville

Hi everyone!

Mandy here today to share a traveler's notebook layout that I created using the Love Rules cut file set from The Cut Shoppe! I documented a super cute photo of my son Isaac with my niece Eliza. Isaac is so good with his younger cousins, and they all absolutely adore him. I'm so glad that I captured this beautiful moment when Eliza climbed up onto Isaac's lap for a cuddle.

I love that the traveler's notebook decorative pages are perfectly sized and ready to cut! The heart background from the Love Rules set is so pretty and was perfect for my layout!

Love Rules

I covered the left hand side of the spread with a text patterned paper and then added my title to the page using some Felicity Jane die cut pieces. I then chose three patterned papers, and backed each row of hearts in the cut file in a repetitive pattern using the papers. Once I had finished backing the cut file, I adhered it to the right hand side of the spread.

To give the background some more texture and interest, I added an epoxy heart in a matching colour to some of the hearts in the cut file. Behind my photo I added some layers using a journaling card and a die cut tag. I also created a little embellishment cluster on the bottom right hand corner of the photo.

I finished the layout off with a little bit of typed journaling, which I cut into strips and added underneath the photo.

Thanks so much for joining me here on the blog today. I hope that you enjoyed taking a look at my traveler's notebook layout!

for the love of music | orange gearle

Hello! Orange Gearle here with a spread in my Traveler's Notebook using the Love Rules cut file.  Here is a look at my two page spread using mostly Dear Lizzy's latest collection.

Here is a better look at the cut file!

I cut the file using white card stock and then I backed it with a beautiful green patterned paper. The other side was full of hearts -- that I thought went well with the XOXO pattern of the cut file! I added my journaling to the left side of the spread with a few stickers from the collection.

The right side houses my title and my photo. This photo is of some books in our living room!  I was dusting and as I was putting the books back, I realized they had a theme, so I took a photo!

I love using the Cut Shoppe cut file for TNs. It helps the project to come together so quickly!  I also made a video of my process!

Thank you so much for stopping by! XO o.g.

These People | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here with you today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook.  I used the Love Rules Traveler's Notebook Decorative Page cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

For my layout,  I chose to document a photo of my son and my mom taken recently at a school event for grandparents.  He was so excited that Nana was able to attend!

Most of the papers and embellishments I used are from the Heidi Swapp Emerson Lane collection and Crate Paper Journal Studio.  To begin my spread, I cut out the cut file using a wood grain patterned paper.  The TN Decorative Page Covers are sized for a traveler's notebook, so this process was so easy!  I chose not to back the majority of the cut file, and just backed a few of the XOs with a green patterned paper.  Next, I layered a few die cuts and puffy stickers, stamped the date and a sentiment, and added my journaling to a label.

For the other side of the layout, I layered a few strips of paper along the edge of the page.  Next, I layered some labels and stamped the title.  I layered a few stickers to complete this side of the page.  For the finishing touch, I added some machine stitching to the edge of the page and along the edges of the wood grain paper.

Thank you for joining me today.  I hope I have inspired you to use a Traveler's Notebook Decorative Page cut file from The Cut Shoppe on your next project!

October Guest Designer | Sheena Rowlands

We are super excited to have Sheena Rowlands with us as our October Guest Designer!  Sheena shares an awesome variety of projects on Instagram, and we couldn't wait to have her join us and create with TCS Cut Files!  Sheena is currently designing for Hey Little Magpie and UK Scrap Addicts.  Let's get to know a bit more about her, before we see the layout she created!

https://www.instagram.com/sheenaribena/

Hi there, I'm Sheena and I’ve crafted in one form or other all my life & fell into scrapbooking from card making in 2006!  I’m a part time nurse and a mum to 3 grown ups who along side my husband & our travels, are the main features of my scrapbooking. If I'm not paper crafting you will find me quilting or crocheting at the moment.

I don’t think I have a scrapbooking style but I do love colour, layers, sewing and a little mixed media but not too messy! I have a craft room in my home & out of all the tools I’ve purchased over the years my electric die cutter gets the most usage.

I used 3 cut files in the making of this page - Love Rules Traveler's Notebook pages as a stencil for my background, Washi Love strips to hold my fringing and the Girl Power bunting with added hand made tassels as my title.

XOXO

Thanks so much for joining us this month, Sheena!  We can't wait to see what you created!

How fun is this layout!!  We love the way Sheena seamlessly incorporated all three cut files into her gorgeous layout.  And the mixed media in the background is just the right touch and the Love Rules cut file worked perfectly for it!  We just love everything about Sheena's layout!

"Together" Traveler's Notebook Spread | Donna Espiritu

Hello, loves! Donna here to share my first project for August using some TCS cut files and printables.

I created a TN layout using items in the TCS Store perfect for Traveler's Notebooks.

I trimmed a bit of the TN Endless Summer printable and corned punched all 4 sides.

I used 2 of the printables in the set to back the title and cover cut files.
Since I used a white cardstock to cut both cut files, I inked the edges with light green ink to make them more visible.

I also used one of the cover pages in this set

I added a bit of texture and colors to the background by stamping and splattering spray mists since I used mostly light colored prints.

That's all from me today.
I hope this project inspired you to create something today.
Thanks for dropping by!

Happy crafting,

let love grow | orange gearle

Hello! Orange Gearle here with a new spread in my Traveler's Notebook. I used THREE different items from The Cut Shoppe

This layout is in my "junk journal" style TN that I made with patterned papers. Some of my pages are smaller -- and this left side was perfect for my title! I used the Super Star Alpha for part of my title. Did you know that The Cut Shoppe has Traveler's Notebook files? For the right side, I used the heart decorative page from Love Rules Traveler's Notebook!   They are sized perfectly for a standard TN, and I love the extra fun they add!  Finally I used the printable available in the shop called The Road Trip. Even though this isn't about a road trip, I couldn't resist those cute flowers! They were perfect for this one!  Here's a look at the cut files I used.

Here are a couple of close up photos of my project:

This alpha. I know I am going to use this over and over again. I love the stars!!

I also made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!
