Love This | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here sharing a layout in my life crafted album.  For my final project for The Cut Shoppe, I chose to create a spread using one of my favorite cut files- the Love Rules cut file.

Here's a look at the layout and cut file:

To begin the spread, I cut out the heart TN portion of the cut file using white cardstock.  I adhered it to a patterned paper sized to fit in the album.  Next, I did some machine stitching around the edges of the cut file.  I added my photo and used some wood veneer hearts as embellishment, adding them to the hearts that were cut out in the cut file.  I also added a rainbow sticker and wood veneer heart to frame the photo.

For the other side of the layout, I adhered a strip of the same patterned paper to the left side of the page and did more machine stitching around the edges.  I layered some tags and a label and created my title using a puffy word sticker and stamping.  To complete the page, I added my journaling in strips below the title and added a few more wood veneer hearts.

Fabulous NYE | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here again today sharing a traveler's notebook layout.  I was excited to document my New Year's Eve photos, and I decided to use the fun New Year Countdown cut file from The Cut Shoppe as a feature on my spread.

For this layout, I began by cutting out the cut file using white cardstock.  I trimmed the cardstock to fit in my TN album and backed the numbers and "Happy New Year" with black cardstock, so that it would stand out on the page.  I decided not to use the star and 2019 that was in the center of the cut file, but instead trimmed my fireworks photo into a circular shape and placed it in the center.  I love how this turned out!  For the title, I used a gold glitter word and puffy alpha stickers.  I added labels, glitter stars, and some stamping to embellish.

For the other side of the layout, I began by printing my photos in black and white into a collage.  They were not the best quality photos, so I didn't mind printing them at a smaller size.  It also allowed me to get more photos on the spread.  I layered some patterned papers behind the photos and added ephemera pieces, stamping, and puffy stickers to embellish.

Joyful | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a layout in my ringed traveler's notebook.  I was so excited when Ashley released the new Holly Jolly Christmas TN Decorative Page cut file!  I knew it would be perfect for some holiday documenting in my traveler's notebook.

Here's the layout I created for my 2018 December Daily Album:

For my project today, I used the Christmas Stories kit from Citrus Twist Kits.  To begin the spread, I printed out the cut file using white cardstock, sizing it slightly smaller than the TN page, because I knew I wanted to use the black and white plaid patterned paper as a background behind the cut file.  Next, I backed the trees with different red and green patterned papers, leaving a few of them open so that the plaid pattern would show through.  I LOVE how it turned out!

For the title, I added a 'Joyful' sticker to a cut apart tag from the kit.  I also added some twine to the tag and a few enamel dots.

For the other side of the layout, I added a strip of red patterned paper to a white cardstock base and created a tag using a green paper.  I added my photo and used washi tape to create a flip-up for my journaling.

Thank you for joining me today.  Be sure to check out all of the fun new Holiday cut files in The Cut Shoppe Store!

Family | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook album.  I used the awesome Half Hearted cut file from The Cut Shoppe

For my layout, I used the Crate Paper Heritage collection by Maggie Holmes- such a lovely collection and perfect for my family photo.

To begin the layout, I sized the cut file to fit in my traveler's notebook (approximately 4.25"x8.25").  I knew I wanted to bring the cut file over to the other page, so I added an additional column of the hearts.  I cut out the cut file using a woodgrain patterned paper from the collection- I always love a good woodgrain!

Next, I adhered the cut file to a white cardstock base, sized to fit in my album.  I added my photo and embellished around it using clear stickers, puffy stickers, and ephemera.

For the other side of the spread, I added the cut file to the edge of the page, also adding two strips of patterned paper from the collection.  I added a tag and a white acrylic piece to serve as my title.  I did some simple embellishing using some ephemera pieces and stickers.

I love how this layout turned out using this fun cut file!

Halloween Things | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a layout in my new "October Memories" traveler's notebook.  I love seeing all of the October Daily projects being shared in the creative community but know I will never be able to keep up with daily documenting.  I decided to print some of my October photos from years past and document them in a new album I'm calling "October Memories."   It sounds like fun, right?

For my layout today, I used the Halloween Things cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

I chose to use the Simple Stories Happy Haunting collection and the digital TN papers from the Traci Reed Ghouls Like You collection.  I thought these collections worked perfectly with the cut file and the fun photo of my husband and me taken a few years ago at a Halloween party.

To begin the page, I cut out the cut file using a star patterned paper.  I backed each word with a different paper from the TN collection.  I love how the cut file pops using these patterned papers!  Next, I used some of the ephemera pieces to embellish the page.

For the other side of the spread, I printed my journaling on a piece of white cardstock.  I added my photo and used more ephemera pieces and chipboard to embellish the page.

To finish off the layout, I added a bit of stamping using some star and dot clear stamps.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I will see you again soon to share more projects using the awesome cut files from The Cut Shoppe Store!

Back to School | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a traveler's notebook layout.  I used the Background Check cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

When this cut file was added to the shop, I knew I wanted to create a layout documenting my sons' first day of school last year.  It is such a perfect cut file to use in a traveler's notebook, too!

To begin my layout, I cut out the cut file using white cardstock.  I backed the numbers three and nine using some patterned paper from my stash.  I chose to only back those two numbers, making them stand out from the background.  I then adhered the entire cut file to a piece of patterned paper.  To embellish this page, I added a few puffy stickers and used some alpha stamps to stamp my sons' names.

For the other side of the spread, I layered some patterned papers behind my photo and then used some ephemera pieces and puffy stickers to embellish the page.

I used some white puffy alpha stickers and alpha stamps to add the title.  I just love how this layout turned out using this cut file!

Thank you for joining me today!  I hope you will stop by The Cut Shoppe store and check out all of the fun cut files that are currently available!

Grateful Heart | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today with a fun traveler's notebook layout.  I used the new Background Check TN Decorative Page cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

For this layout, I mainly used the Everyday Musings and Joyful Day collections by Pinkfresh Studio.  To begin the spread, I cut out the frame portion of the cut file using white cardstock.  I then backed each section with a different patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pads.  The smaller patterns in these paper pads are perfect for backing cut files!  Next, I adhered the cut file to a piece of woodgrain patterned paper and a cardstock base, trimmed to fit in my album.

I added ephemera, cardstock stickers, and puffy stickers to embellish the frames, using foam dots to add dimension to some of the pieces.

For the other side of the layout, I layered patterned papers behind my photo and used ephemera and puffy stickers to embellish around the photo.

A white acrylic piece from Color Cast Designs, layered over a tag, worked perfectly as a title for the spread.

I love how this page came together using this traveler's notebook cut file!

Thank you for joining me today!  I hope you will check out this and the other fun cut files available in The Cut Shoppe store!

Summer Fun + Sun | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a fun summer layout in my traveler's notebook.  I used the Vacay Mode cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

For my spread today, I used mainly the Crate Paper Sunny Days collection by Maggie Holmes.  To begin the layout, I enlarged the sunglasses portion of the cut file to span across my traveler's notebook spread.  The best part about this cut file is that it includes so many fun images, and there are so many layout design possibilities!  I cut out the file using white cardstock and backed it with a floral paper.  I also created an offset of the cut file in Silhouette Studio using navy patterned paper, so the sunglasses would stand out from the white background.  To complete the title, I added some chipboard phrase stickers.

I chose to document a photo taken on a recent family vacation to the lake.  I thought it worked perfectly with this fun cut file.  I layered some papers behind the photo and added puffy stickers and cardstock stickers to frame the photo.  Next, I stamped the date using my favorite Heidi Swapp date stamp and trimmed it out using a tab punch.

At the top of the other page, I added a tag and layered some puffy stickers and a fussy cut element from one of the patterned papers.  I just love the little beach bag!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope I have inspired you to use a cut file on your next project.  See you soon!
