Bible Journaling With Printable Files | Helen Gullett

Hello everyone... Helen is here. Today I have a couple Bible journaling pages to share with you all using printable files from The Cut Shoppe.

Here are the printable files I used on my journaling page today:

The Road Trip Printable you can grab this set at The Cut Shoppe Store, but the Summer Sizzle set, you can grab it for free when you join The Cut Shoppe Scrap Spot Facebook Group.

On my first Bible journaling page, I used both printable sets on my ESV Journaling Bible.
First, I open the files with Silhouette Studio Software, and then activate the Print-and-Cut feature on the software.
I printed the files with inkjet printer on heavyweight white cardstock and then cut them with my Silhouette Cameo.
That easy!

On my Bible page, I added some watercolor paint and dried it with craft heater. Then I added the printable pieces on the page with dries-clear adhesive glue. And then I wrote highlight verse that I want to remember in the journaling space.

On my second Bible journaling page, I used the Summer Sizzle set and the All Tied Up Alpha Cut File on my ESV Interleave Journaling Bible. It has large full page for journaling.

I cut the alphabet set with heavyweight white cardstock, and then I colored them with Gelato Metallic  Blueberry and waterbrush. I set them aside to dry.

While waiting, painted the grass at the bottom of the page using Gelato Green Tea and baby wipe. After the painted grass dried, I added the printable pieces on the page using dries-clear adhesive glue. Then, I added the alphabets on the pages saying Stand Firm and wrote the phrase "In The Lord" using Micron Pen.

I hope you all enjoy this simple post today. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Guest Designer | Rebecca Keppel

Happy April everyone!  We're kicking off the month with our talented April Guest Designer, Rebecca Keppel!  I had the opportunity to meet Rebecca in person and she is the sweetest!  I have been a fan of her work for many years, and we are excited to have her with us today!  Let's get to know a bit more about Rebecca before we check out her awesome layout!

http://www.myclutteredcorner.com/

Hi Cut Shoppe fans! My name is Rebecca Keppel and I have been scrapbooking in the modern sense of the word since 2005. Besides recording our memories and playing with fun product, I love to try out new techniques and learn more about photography. In addition to making layouts, I enjoy card making, planning and the occasional home decor project. I enjoy being a member of the paper crafting community and love to share my projects and ideas on my blog (My Cluttered Corner) and my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/rebeccakeppel). Thanks so much to The Cut Shoppe for having me as a guest designer! I had a blast creating my layout!

Thanks so much for joining us Rebecca!  Now let's see what she created, using the All Tied Up Alpha, Open Letter Alpha and the Around & Around cut file!

I cut several two sizes of the Around & Around cut file out of white cardstock. Then I applied Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink with a Mini Ink Blending tool. Finally, I spritzed them with water using my Distress Sprayer.

I cut both alphas and backed them with strips of the patterned paper that I laid behind them. After backing them with the patterned paper, I popped them up with foam adhesive.

What a fun technique with the Distress Ink!!  And the colorful title is so eye-catching!  Thanks so much for sharing your amazing work with us, Rebecca!

Don't forget to check out Rebecca's Blog, My Cluttered Corner, to see more of her work and check out her other social media links.

Scrapbook Circle & The Cut Shoppe Team Up Day 4!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 4 of our Team Up with the Scrapbook Circle Design Team!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing what all of the Design Team members from both Teams have created this week with the June Kit from Scrapbook Circle and cut files from The Cut Shoppe!  And we've still got one more day of inspiration coming up tomorrow!  Today it's my turn, and I've got two layouts to share with you!

Road Trip:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/201046747/the-this-way-cut-file-is-a-12x12?ref=shop_home_active_16

I wanted to make a big impact on this layout, using the patterned papers from the Scrapbook Circle June Kit and a large cut file.  I used the Crop feature in Silhouette Studio, to create the shaped letters, inside the US map, and then backed each one with different papers from the Kit.  Before I adhered the die cut map from the On the Road cut file to my background, I cut the This Way cut file from White cardstock and placed a few patterned papers behind it and then layered the die cut background over a second sheet of White cardstock.

I've got a new Process Video to share with you for this layout, if you would like to check out how I cropped the letters to create the negative effect on the On the Road cut file!

Hello Ohio:

I really loved the travel papers and embellishments included in the Scrapbook Circle June Kit, so I decided to go for a travel theme on both of my layouts.  I wanted to go for a darker background on this layout, so I used the back side of the Latitude patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Atlas collection.  I enlarged the compass from the Happy Camper cut file set, and backed each of the open sections with various patterned papers from the Kit.  Then I cut the word Ohio from the All Tied Up Alpha cut file set, and arranged it around the circle shape of the compass.

I had so much fun creating with the June Kit from Scrapbook Circle!  And you've got a chance to win a June Kit for yourself!!  Just make sure you comment on each of the Design Team posts this week, and one random winner will be chosen!  You can also win a $20 Gift Certificate to The Cut Shoppe, by commenting on the Scrapbook Circle Design Team Blogs!
