Fun Times | Marsha Farris

Hey friends!  Marsha here with you today sharing a layout in my traveler's notebook.  I used the And Then cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

I used mainly the Crate Paper All Heart collection for this layout.  To begin my page, I sized the cut file to about 5 inches wide, so it would be a little larger than one side of my traveler's notebook.  I then cut it out using patterned paper, and did an offset using white cardstock to back the file.  I love using larger cut files in my traveler's notebook.

Next, I stamped several sentiments down the side of the page using a Kellie Stamps stamp set and different ink colors.

I chose a photo of my sister and I taken earlier this year.  I used a tag and frame from the collection to layer behind the photo.  To embellish around the photo, I used puffy stickers and chipboard stickers.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you are inspired to use a cut file from The Cut Shoppe on your next project!

Plaits, Plaits & Plaits | Tarrah McLean

Hi Cut Shoppe fans!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a new layout using the 'And Then' cut file set from The Cut Shoppe store!

My sister plaited her daughter's hair for the first time a few weeks ago and now Amelia wants plaits in her hair every single day! My sister said, 'Oh, what have I got myself into here?!' Hence my choice of title Plaits, plaits & plaits!

The 'And Then' cut file set was perfect to choose an ampersand from to form part of the title. I chose the one with the rectangles in so I could back a striped paper behind it. I used mostly the Crate Paper 'Good Vibes' and 'Carousel' collections for this layout.

That little chippie scallop circle that says 'Stay Golden' was just perfect for the photos of Amelia as her hair is a pretty golden blonde! I hope it stays golden for her but sadly it probably won't!

Another perfect embellishment were the bows included in the Carousel collection. I chose a fabric bow and layered a puffy sticker bow over the top!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure you check out the Cut Shoppe store to purchase the amazing cut files that are in there!

Happy creating!

His Selfie Game is Strong

Hello it's Melissa here and I'm so happy to be back with you again!  If you have a son like mine  you're likely to have loads of selfies on your phone!  Sam (nearly 10) takes selfies every time he has my phone, and he leaves them as a surprise for me to find.

For this layout I used the And Then and Friends Forever cut file sets, and I used my December Hip Kit.  I choose the ampersand with stars, because I thought it really suited my son, and cut it large.  When I saw "Selfie" on the Forever Friends set I knew it was perfect for one of Sam's photos.

I went for a large title based around the "Selfie" cut file, and used a common slang phrase of today's day and age, which will be interesting to look back on in perpetuity.  I had to explain to Sam what it meant!

I love how the large ampersand looks cut from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away paper!

Here are the cut files:

There are so many other design possibilities for these cut file sets, which means more bang for your buck!

Thanks so much for looking

You & Me

Welcome back,
Zsoka here with you and I have a new layout to share with you today! I really love how this one turned out! I have been looking forward to the Indigo Hills collection from Pinkfresh Studio ever since I first saw a sneak peek many months ago. It did not disappoint! It's an amazing line; that blue and mustard...Sooo good. I just want to use these papers as wall paper!

The cut files I used:

I started off by cutting strips of patterned papers, then I wove these together. I used to make woven paper baskets 15+ years ago so it was fun to use this technique again! I then backed my ampersand with this woven piece and stitched around it to make sure nothing goes anywhere. :) I really like how that looks!

Of course I didn't want to cover up any of this ha! So I placed my photo and embellishments around the middle, this way I hope one can still tell what's in the background! The ampersand is actually a part of my title, You & Me. The you/me words I made from the Brush Up Alpha cut file. I just added an outline to the letters so I didn't have solid white letters and I could back these with pattern paper. I popped these up to give the layout a bit of dimension.

I hope you found some inspiration here today! See you soon! X

My Fave.

Hello, crafty friends~ It's Eunyoung here. Today I'm sharing a layout using a new cut file - 'And Then'. You can see four pretty 'And Then' cut files in The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store.

Step 1. Pick a cutfile and background.
Because I like this 'hello' font, I used 'hello' And Then cut file. It's so pretty. I usually start my page with white cardstock. But today I chose a pink colored striped pattern paper as a basis.

Step 2. Do machine stitching on cutfile and paper pieces.
I did randomly machine stitching on 'hello' with pink thread. And I did machine stitching the around of a pink colored striped pattern paper, heart shapes, butterflies and my photo with white thread, too. It's for a fun texture.

Step 3. Arrange and embellish
After machine stitching, I arrange every pieces on 12x12 inch white cardstock. And then I added them with double side tape & pop-dots. I think that the shade of layering (the 3D effect) is very important, so I often use three different-high adhesive on a page. I embellished with a button, puffy stickers & chipboard shape.

Step 4. Title and splatter
I added the title with foam words sticker and splatter black color-shine on background. I had last touch is stamping a date.

What do you think  about my layout with a new cut file? I hope you'll enjoy it!!
Happy crafty time and Thank you!!

Fun & Awesome

Hi everyone!  It's Ashley, and I'm back this week with a layout, using our new cut file sets that are now available in The Cut Shoppe Etsy store!  I combined the And Then cut file set with the Washi Love cut file set.

I started with the Love Ampersand in the center of the layout, and then hand stitched three lines, that would connect it to my photos.  My photos are sized at 2 inches, and I used my punch for the circle shape, once they were printed.  Then I cut 3 circles on my Cameo from the Elle's Studio Sunny Days collection sized at 2.5 to add behind the photos.

I used embellishments from the Sunny Days collection, a flair button from A Flair for Buttons and a paper clip arrow from Freckled Fawn to create a cluster inside the die cut Ampersand.  After adding several embellishments around the photos, I cut the Washi Love cut file from a wood grain paper in the Sunny Days collection and used the strips and the inside pieces cut from the design, to scatter around the layout.

I love finding ways to mix the cut file designs from the Shop!  There are four new sets available this week, that you can mix and match on your projects!  Here's a look at all of the new designs!

And Then . . . Me & You!

Hey friends!
Stephanie here along with my son Caden, his friend Irish, a couple of frogs, and a LOT of ampersands!

I am a huge fan of movement on pages, but something that isn't overbearing and taking away from the photo. Most of my pages are relatively simple so I just wanted to feature the ampersands to emphasize the relationship my son and his friend had. I used my Cameo and cut a few ampersands that I could loop through a piece of twine and allow to move freely.

These two had a special bond and it's the only photo I have of them together. So, I'm happy to have it in an album!

The file was originally created as a background. I just wanted to keep it simple, so I just cut a row of the ampersands and pulled out what I needed. That is one of the most beautiful things about Ashley's designs, the versatilty! If you can do the basic steps to cutting with your Cameo, you can use these files in so many ways!
