Trick or Treat | Tarrah McLean

Hi Cut Shoppe friends,

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a new spooktacular Halloween themed layout!

I chose the super cool Wacky Web cut file for my layout today. I cut the design from black cardstock and placed it onto a chevron background paper.
I really like the added touches of gold Heidi Shine over the top of the web.

I love how the black cut file looks against the creamy contrast background paper. I contemplated machine stitching through the web but I didn't want to take away from the effect and I didn't want it to look too messy either.

I added a few raw Halloween themed chipboard pieces as well as a few puffy stickers and phrase stickers to embellish. The big 31 is in the glitter Thickers from the Crate Paper After Dark collection from a few years back.

The Trick or Treat title is super old...it comes from an old Little Yellow Bicycle Halloween collection from probably 10 years ago!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure to check out The Cut Shoppe Etsy store for amazing digital files to include on any of your papercrafting projects!

Happy creating!

Guest Designer | Andrea Kuenzel

Happy November!  It's time to welcome our Guest Designer this month, and I am excited to introduce my sweet scrappy friend, Andrea Kuenzel!  Andrea's layouts and style are always so eye catching, and you can't resist loving them with the adorable photos of her daughter!!  Andrea created two layouts to share with us, but let's get to know a bit more about her, before we take a look at them!

Hi there! I am Andrea. I live in Minnesota with my husband of 3 years and our 10 month old daughter, Amelia. I work full time as a registered nurse in a very busy dermatology clinic. In my free time I love to spend time with my family and scrapbook. I have been scrapbooking since I was 13 years old and I have many scrapbooks to show for it. My favorite subject to scrapbook is of course, my little baby girl. She makes it so easy! I have taken thousands of photos of her so far in her short life and I document every little thing. You can check out my blog at http://andrea-preciousmemories.blogspot.com/ (which I have been awful at updating since having a baby) or follow me on Instagram at www.instagram.com/andreajk5.

Trick or Treat!

Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm on the blog today to share a layout I created using some of the fun new Halloween cut files in the shop! This is one of my favorite times of the year and I love scrapping Halloween and fall photos!

For my title, I used the "Trick or Treat" cut file from Wicked Fun. I also layered the cute star/circle border underneath!

For my background, I used the Wacky Web cut file with a fun black and white print paper!
I love the contrast with the white cardstock background!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check out these fun cut files in the Etsy shop!
Have a wonderful day!

Supplies used: patterned paper, enamel dots, stickers: Crate Paper After Dark; flair: {aflairforbuttons}, stamp, journaling pen: American Crafts; misc:  sewing machine, thread, Silhouette

Going Batty

Happy October 1st!  I love the month of October, and my kids have already asked me about a million times how much longer it is until Halloween!  So I thought we would kick off this month with some fun, new Halloween sets in The Cut Shoppe!  Today, there are 5 new cut file sets available and a Printable Cut Ups!  I created a layout using the new Wacky Web cut file and the Wicked Fun cut file.

I cut the Wacky Web fairly large from Black card stock and backed it with a few patterned papers from the Crate Paper After Dark collection.  Before adhering it to the background paper, I added some White machine stitching.  Then I added pop dots under my photo, and clustered embellishments from the After Dark collection around the photo.  For the title, I used the Dear Lizzy Documentary Cork Thickers, and placed them on the outside edge of the web.  And since the title of my layout was Going Batty, I definitely had to use the bat image from the Wicked Fun cut file set.

There are a lot more sets in The Cut Shoppe today, so make sure you stop by and check them out!  Here's a look at what you'll find!
