That blessed night

Penny Black has line of stamps that have the best price point. They were around $8.00, but have recently gone up to $9.00. Still a good price. "Blessed Birthday" is one of these self contained inexpensive stamps. This stamp was always sold out and it wasn't till after Christmas I was able to get it.

This week Christmas 24's theme is "Christmas Night". Christmas Night conjures up the thought of our first Christmas and the night of the Savior's birth. Today's card was a no brainer.

My card tip today is I stamped Bethlehem and fussy cut it, leaving a white border. I them went in with a copic marker and colored the cut edges with a marker that matched my background. This is a good tip for putting die cut images on darker card stock. See this blog post which includes a video on this technique.

You have two weeks to share what Christmas night means to you at Christmas 24. I can't wait to see what you all create.

all is.........

Happy Monday all! Time for a new challenge at Christmas 24. Boy I am sure getting a great jump start on my holiday cards by playing along. It seem that blue and gold wasn't everyone's cup of tea. Today we have a very fun and clever sketch challenge. I think you all will have fun with this.

I always make a few Nativity cards for those special people in my life. I mean it is the reason we celebrate Christmas! I am always on the look out for new Nativity stamps.

Today's card features Nativity by Simon Says Stamp, which unfortunately is no longer available.

Bethlehem

It's time for another challenge at Christmas 24. We have a color challenge waiting for you.

How does blue and gold sound to you?!!? Sounded great to me. It gave me the opportunity to pull out a stamp that hasn't been shown any inky love. I picked up Bethlehem from Impression Impression at the Allentown rubber stamp convention. Because of that nasty virus, there was no convention. I have never missed one in the last 20 some years. Here's to next year!
