THE GOOD: We had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday this year. We spent our break with Ryan's parents and extended family. There were 15 humans, and 6 dogs. Yeah it was crazy, but it was so much fun. It was the first time that part of the family had all been together for the Thanksgiving holiday since Ryan was 2 or something like that. So it was very special.
The food was soooo good. I would have to say it was right up there with the Riggs Thanksgiving feast. There was goooooood food and lots of it! It was so good that I had seconds (well can you blame me? I'm eating for two here) and immediately after eating had to lay down for a nap. Now THAT is good food :) And I may or may not have had another plate later that evening and two plates of leftovers the next day. And a hamburger. And cake and icecream. Don't judge.
Ryan of course hunted every chance he got. He's hunted during Thanksgiving break his whole life, why stop now, right? I went with him once, (I love going) and decided it would have to be my last time until the baby gets here. Talk about exhaustion! Geez! I am starting to realize my limits with this pregnancy. It is crazy to me how I can do something one week, and the next I can't. It was too hard for me physically to do what I needed to do this time. But, you bet your bottom I'll be back out there as soon as I can!
THE BAD: On the way back to College Station on Sunday we were involved in a 7 car pile up on I-45 just outside of Buffalo, TX. It was pretty scary, but no one was hurt in any of the cars so that is a blessing. Our dogs were in the back seat asleep when it happened, and I looked back to see if they were okay, and poor Bella had been thrown to the floor board looking at me like, "WHAT THE??!!" It was so sad. They were so good to be in the car an extra 2 hours while we were parked on the side of the road figuring things out. Anyway, our car got pretty messed up, but it could have been worse of course, and I'm glad that it wasn't. We are lucky that our only car is still drivable, it just looks nasty. I'd say I'm about done driving back and forth to Dallas. Mom, Dad, Bill, Cherie...you come see us!!! :)
Hope everyone had as nice of a Thanksgiving as we did.
Now it's time for Christmas!
