Chandler and Marissa

My cousin Chandler and and his beautiful Fiance, Marissa, (now wife) were married a couple of weeks ago and asked me to do their engagement pictures. I of course said I would, but only because she had an awesome name.

They are just babies! Babies, I tell you! But perfect for each other nonetheless. (I like that word, "nonetheless". You get three words in one. I'm weird). But of course we were their age when we got married. So I should shut my mouth.

There was much discussion of suspenders or no suspenders. I think I love the suspenders. They add a nice touch.

I'm pretty sure I think I love this one.

And I save my very favorite for last. So candid. Love.

26 Weeks Pregnant

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and feeling good. Only 98 days left until my due date. We are in the double digits! I can't believe how fast (for me anyway) time has gone by, and I know it will go even faster with the holidays and the new year approaching. We are so excited!

Things you may (or may not) care to know:

- I am a human garbage disposal. It's a fact.
- The baby is approximately the length of an English cucumber. (14 in. head to heel)
- She weighs approximately a pound and two-thirds.
- I have gained about 12 pounds. And it varies depending on when I weight myself. :)
- Her ears are much more developed now, so she can hear conversations I have with people. Kinda creepy.
- She is moving ALL OF THE TIME. And I love it.
- We are making progress on the nursery. BUT, we still have A LONG way to go.
- And lastly, Ryan and I are officially enrolled in several "New Parent Education Courses". I am actually quite excited about them! First up, Breastfeeding 101. (I know, get excited.) Next, Childbirth. And Lastly, Newborn Care. Can't wait!

I mean really, where did I get this guy?

Yesterday I was expressing to Ryan how concerned I was about my back fat. My belly seems to be squishing around my sides and to my back, if that makes sense. Lovely, I know. Anyway, so I was telling him about this, and he took a look for himself, pointed and said, "Oh yeah, right here?"

Mmk...word to the wise. Never EVER tell a pregnant lady she has back fat, even if you can see it with your own eyes, and she asks you to look. LIE TO HER! Sheesh, I mean really, where did I get this guy? :)

Thanksgiving

THE GOOD: We had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday this year. We spent our break with Ryan's parents and extended family. There were 15 humans, and 6 dogs. Yeah it was crazy, but it was so much fun. It was the first time that part of the family had all been together for the Thanksgiving holiday since Ryan was 2 or something like that. So it was very special.

The food was soooo good. I would have to say it was right up there with the Riggs Thanksgiving feast. There was goooooood food and lots of it! It was so good that I had seconds (well can you blame me? I'm eating for two here) and immediately after eating had to lay down for a nap. Now THAT is good food :) And I may or may not have had another plate later that evening and two plates of leftovers the next day. And a hamburger. And cake and icecream. Don't judge.

Ryan of course hunted every chance he got. He's hunted during Thanksgiving break his whole life, why stop now, right? I went with him once, (I love going) and decided it would have to be my last time until the baby gets here. Talk about exhaustion! Geez! I am starting to realize my limits with this pregnancy. It is crazy to me how I can do something one week, and the next I can't. It was too hard for me physically to do what I needed to do this time. But, you bet your bottom I'll be back out there as soon as I can!

THE BAD: On the way back to College Station on Sunday we were involved in a 7 car pile up on I-45 just outside of Buffalo, TX. It was pretty scary, but no one was hurt in any of the cars so that is a blessing. Our dogs were in the back seat asleep when it happened, and I looked back to see if they were okay, and poor Bella had been thrown to the floor board looking at me like, "WHAT THE??!!" It was so sad. They were so good to be in the car an extra 2 hours while we were parked on the side of the road figuring things out. Anyway, our car got pretty messed up, but it could have been worse of course, and I'm glad that it wasn't. We are lucky that our only car is still drivable, it just looks nasty. I'd say I'm about done driving back and forth to Dallas. Mom, Dad, Bill, Cherie...you come see us!!! :)

Hope everyone had as nice of a Thanksgiving as we did.

Now it's time for Christmas!
