~ Wedding Mini book ~

Its finally finished! The Wedding Minibook is finally done! It has been delivered this morning to their house ready for them returning from honeymoon tomorrow.

All the papers used are Kaisercraft and the colour theme throughout the book is cream, brown and aqua/teal. I am really pleased with how well this book turned out and I hope the couple like it.

My apologies about some of the photos as it was very sunny yesterday and I was on a tight schedule.

The couple got married at some chambered cairns up in Scotland. It appears to have been an unusual but very interesting wedding.

The stamps used were bought from the Rubbernecker Stamp company at Alexandra Palace Stamp and scrapbooking show last April.

Arriving in style! On horseback! I never thought I would see this happen.

I copied a few quotes from online to add to the photos as I have no journalling to use.

I also added a page where they can write the guest list on to remind them of the people who attended.

~ Once upon a time ... ~

For this layout I used Fancy Pants 'Roadshow' papers from my cleocrafts monthly kit. I coloured the white prima e-line flowers with a hint of weathered wood distress ink. I plan to add journalling to the 2 flowery squares once I have been to see my nan to ask her about the children's home that she used to work at.

~ My first BIA project ~

Well these are a sneak peak of a project I'm currently working on. Its going to be a mini book of my other half's dad's wedding that took place yesterday. Should have more for you over the next few days. It needs to be finished by next weekend as I want it to be done for them by the time they get back from honeymoon.

Part way through the mini book development I realised that I wanted to bind it using my new bind-it-all machine however, I haven't used it before so decided I must make something to have a practice.

So here it is, a mini 4x4 book using MME Bloom and Grow papers. I think this little book will become a Birthday book for my friends christmas present. Am really pleased with how it turned out, will still be nervous when I do the proper wedding mini book.

Off to Rangers tonight where we are having a Ready, Steady Cook competition on an open fire. Sounds like great fun! Hope everyone is having a lovely sunny evening!

~ Returned to a pile of letters and emails! ~

Well I'm back to reality with a bit of a bump today - returning home from my Welsh Holiday to a pile of post and almost 100 emails! Whats more the computer had other ideas and was playing up!

Well I'm not back to work until Tuesday so should have something a little crafty to share with you tomorrow evening! Thanks to all those who remembered to keep popping over whilst I was away to see the scheduled posts.

~ Food for Thought ~

This layout show photographs of the Ministry of Food shop in Rotherham town centre. Jamie Oliver had a hit tv show about a group of people in Rotherham who lived off junk food and were unable to cook. We took out brownies for an evening here, where they learnt to cook spaghetti and meatballs.

The spotty paper is Pink Paislee 'Vintage Moon Collection', the red paper used for the frames is MME Abbey road. I typed the journalling and printed out strips. The frames are hand cut using my craft knife. I made the circular embellishments using Fimo modelling clay and coloured them with distress inks. 

~ A special birthday ~

I made this card quite quickly when I was invited to a 40th Suprise birthday party at very late notice last week (it was the next day). I used my cleo crafts June kit. I love the 'Mamma zazzi' Bo Bunny papers. I find it hard to make masculine cards but was really pleased with this one.

~ A favourite ~

I absolutely love this birthday card - must say its the favourite one I have made recently. I used my Cleo crafts kit which constisted of lots of lovely Fancy Pants papers. I punched out the leaf design from a strip of patterned paper and stuck it down the right handside of the inside the card. I stamped the 'Happy Birthday' in black ink. I cut the front right handside with my scalloped blade trimmer then inked it with fired brick and barn door distress ink.

~ Early Father's Day card ~

This is my dad's Father's Day card which is celebrated her in the UK on 20th June 2010. I will be away on holiday so thought I better get a move on with it. The stamps are from the Rubberneckers Stamp Company which I bought at the Big Stamp and Scrapbook show at Alexander palace in April.

I used Tim Holtz Distress inks to stamp and them colour the backgrounds. I am really loving using these inks and the techniques shown in his book 'Compendium of Curiosities'.

~ Altered Mini Frame ~

I bought this little gold frame from Ebay and it has magnetic strips on the back. This was inspired by something I saw over on Tim Holtz's blog.

I stuck a piece of Fancy Pant's Roadshow patterned paper to the back then added Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint. While I was waiting for it to dry I made a paper rose using a slightly adapted version of the rose tutorial over on Linda's Blog. I then added Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the petals. The heart is grungeboard, coloured with fired brick Distress Ink and then added gold acrylic paint. The metal flower is part of a necklace that I dismantled.

~ All dressed up ... but somewhere to go! ~

This layout shows the professional photo of me and my other half at his Rugby Club's end of season dinner dance. There is an amusing story which goes along with my dress.

I had bought a really nice monsoon dress just before christmas which 2 dinner dances in mind. However, I didn't know which shoes to wear to 5 hours before having to leave I decided to try it on and decide. I had a major disaster as the dress was too BIG!!! I tried every single dress on from my wardrobe but no luck! I knew I had lost a little weight but not that much! So with 3 hours to go I was at Meadowhall Shopping Centre looking for another dress. This dress was the first one I tried on and is from Jane Norman. I absolutely love the colour!

Back to the scrapbooking stuff - I used Bo Bunny Mamma razzi papers, stickers and rub-ons. I stamped swirls in black and silver ink to create a border at the bottom. I also added some gliz by spraying some glimmer mist made using perfect pearls in the top left hand and bottom right hand corners, however this is very subtle so cannot be seen in the photo.

~ CC Mystery Kit ~

While looking through photos on my computer I realised that I had never blogged my creation using the mystery kit from the Monopoly CC. So here goes:

This mini book details mine and my boyfriends plans and buys for moving in to our own home in the near future. It all started when we went to Bakewell shopping and spotted these gorgeous Luminarc Red Drip Glasses.

Since then we have both been hooked on buying housey things! We even made up a list!

The kit was from Sarah's Cards Ltd and I must say that I absolutely loved it! The colours were so bright and vibrant!

Since then I have been asking for household items from family for christmas and birthday gifts. My Auntie bought me a lovely hob steamer.

We have bought quite a few items from ebay including a Royal Doulton Kettle and Toaster.

I even had items of thali dishes (indian crockey) posted from Pune in November when I was away on holiday. It weighed a ton! Not cheap to post either!

 

When all is said and done what I really need is one of these! A big money tree!
