Busy Bee!

Have been quite busy this last week. Have managed to finish off a couple of part projects and make a gorgeous recipe box using the February monthy kit from Cleo crafts (I know its not Feb yet and I've already used most of the kit).

These BO Bunny Papers are gorgeous but I probably wouldn't have bought them myself. I think thats a fantastic reason for being subscribed to a monthly kit. It challenges you to use papers or embellishments you migh not normally use. Therefore I challenged myself to use nothing but what was in my monthly kit to decorate a beautiful recipe box to keep my recipe cards in that I receive from the UKS swap.

Made these note boxes, one for my bedroom and one for my mum for the kitchen as she consently has bits of paper stuck next to the coffee pot. Looking forward to having a go at the SLYMI: week 5 challenge.

SLYMI - Week 4 - Sketch

This is my attempt at the Scrap like you mean it week 4 challenge on UKS (ok I know I've missed out weeks 2&3 but I will get round to doing them). I wanted to use simple plain colours to try and make the photo stand out more. It was amazing stood on the sure of Loch Ness at Dusk (well would have been even better if the midges weren't feasting on me!).

Birthday Mini book from the Christmas mini book swap

This is a gorgeous mini book that I got in the post this morning, however it was meant to be a christmas one but Quackas sent me the wrong one. Lol. Although its absolutely gorgeous. We have decided that as christmas is over I might aswell keep this one insted of sending it back. I can't wait until my birthday in March so I can add lots of pictures.

Have not done much scrapping recently, am off work sick with iritis so I can't focus on things as the eye drops dilate my pupil, shouldn't really be on the computer but can't resist. Am back at the hospital this afternoon so fingers crossed its getting better.

More scrapping time!

I can't believe how much I have got done the last 2 days! This is my final entry to the Maybe babies CJ. This is 'Sounds of my Life'. It is an amazing book, am sure its owner will be very happy when they get it back. The sounds of my life are predominantly Meatloaf anf Musicals.

This is my Winter warmer recipe cared for the January Recipe Card Swap on UKS, it is for a lovely Farmhouse Chicken Casserole.

This is a LO of a beautiful Thistle that we came across whilst on holiday in Scotland. Green and purple are 2 of my favourite scrapping colours. This was the challenge for the 'UKS 2009: Scrap like you mean it' challenge - Favourite colours - Week 1.

Right no nore scrapping tonight am off to the neighbours for a knees up!

Finally some scrapping time!

I spent all day yesterday doing university work so decided that last night I would dedicate it to crafting! It's the first time I've had time to play with my Big Shot that I got for xmas. So first on my list was my CJ entry for our Maybe Babies CJ on UKS which is due to finish on 12th Jan.

I was really pleased with how this came out, the theme was 'unexpected pleasures'. I chose Haggis and Scotland. I had never had Haggis before and I honestly didn't think I would like it and I thought that I would find all the driving stressful but thoroughly enjoyed it.
Next on my list of projects was to alter a paint tin for my boyfriend to keep his stationery in. He has just bought a new desk so thought it would be an ideal time to make it for him.

I was really pleased with how it turned out, I found it quite difficult to make it quite masculine, but I thought a couple of flowers wouldn't hurt.

Finally last night I managed to complete a LO for the cleo crafts blog competition using their January kit which is absolutely gorgeous. Not holding my breath to win but it inspired me to finally create another 12x12 page.

I have to admit that I was quite pleased with this LO and it is the first one I have completed using my holiday photos from august.
