Still showing you a little more of our NZ trip...
this is our very own
Scott-Strike Monument

as you can see they are everywhere
 on every surface
quite a peaceful place... even with all the tourists there.
 We stayed overnight in Haast...
mu gawd the have the BIGGEST midge's and the MOST expensive fish and chips
out at Jackson Bay
but the view was worth being eaten alive and ripped off
hahahaha
 Fox Glacier
chunks of ice floating by... the water was freezing.
Hubby and I didn't do the climb
but our son, his partner and her parents did...
they said it was HARD
 I made a quilt
Snuggle Bears by here Toni has the best patterns
and her book Happy Quilts is the best
Hubby made a Mud Kitchen for the grandies birthdays
He's done some refurbishing for a lady
a window frame, turned into a mirror
they look so good in her house

How Many Boxes Are There....

sssshhhh
mind you that is only a few (ho hum)
just grab one and lets see whats in there....
they even come with their own dust and spider webs
 Ok... not a bad choice
and
once counted out I only need to make 5 more
to have a useful size quilt or picnic rug...
 tada
one empty box and a quilt top
and
I've made the binding already...
Many years ago a friend died who was part of our Magnet Craft Group,
while helping her daughter sort out the house, it was discovered
she had many unfinished projects and projects that were kit (like most crafty people).
We all took one or a few and finished them for her daughters.
The girls were so happy to have all thee wonderful quilt of Mum's to wrap up in...
Well I was thinking, I no long have that "group" or belong to one, so I had best
pull my finger out and get some of these done
hahahaha

Some Of The Best Things In Life....

I managed to do some FNWF
its been months and months
but I totally enjoyed the two time zones...
the start of a Flamingo quilt, pattern from
(Toni has fantastic patterns,
easy follow instructions, full size for tracing and wonderfully priced)
 a little bit of crocheting
and I got to spend a bit of time with these two
In the Chittering Valley where I live
there is an abundance of fruit to be picked at orchards
this little fella has a broken foot and is in a moonboot
BUT....
we took it off so he could have a walk through some water flowing over the road....
the water was freezing and turned the injured foot quite red /0\
back at Chuck and Yaya's it was time to bake cookies!!
one stacks his and pinches the chocolate chips out and the other lines them up
and actually takes bites out of the dough...
they're happy and life at Yaya's is a
Little Bit Naughty...

When Life Gets Busy....

Well thats my excuse...
I always have such good intentions on posting regular when I last post BUT..............
it just doesn't seem to happen that way hahahaha
I have finished ALL the applique on this quilt and have the faces to embroider...
only a couple left, then put the rows together....
meanwhile... inbetween... when I get bored of one project... I start another
this is the ''V stitch" and I used a varigated 8ply...
turned out quite lovely and the friend I gifted it to was very surprised...
her comment "I have water coming out of my eyes"... heart swell...
I had some balls left and made a baby rug... to be gifted...
 I sent away for the
Better Homes and Garden crochet kit on a HUGE hook... 15mm
I am doing the ''natural" colours
had lunch with these three gorgeous lads last weekend
and their Mums... middle daughters birthday...
and accidental action shot... he LOVES jumping.
I have had some exquisite roses from the garden...
Did I say that I actually finished the BHG rug!!!
It crochets up sooooo quickly...
 Loved this hahaha
