The Bunny and the Armadillo
"The Bunny and the Armadillo" sounds like the title of a story, but it's not as far as I know. These are two of the delightful Oaxaca-style animals that enlivened the open-air hallways of a hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Because it's Easter today, one might imagine that the armadillo looks like a decorated egg.

A Glyptodont You Can Ride In
I love the realism of these extinct and endangered animals on the Dodo Carousel. There was a plaque next to the carousel explaining what each animal was and giving the scientific name. After all, the Jardin des Plantes is one of the homes of the science of zoology as we know it. The glyptodont is an extinct relative of the armadillo.
