We went to see this new sculpture on exhibition in Millenium Park that day.

The other one was not ready yet, so we were a little disappointed.

Well, we cheered up soon enough and headed towards the new modern wing of the Art Institute.

Then, we crossed the newly-installed bridge to the Art Institute because it's free admission from 5-8pm.
Um...the bridge was swaying a bit..

Apparently, they chose to spell institute "Institvte" because this is the modern wing.

After seeing most of the art pieces in the modern wing, we both agreed that art should make us think and be aesthetically appealing. We didn't like some of the depressing and ugly art pieces but I guess those reflect the current state of our society too. The saddest thing is when people spend a lot of time thinking about the meanings of life but miss the most important thing--God.
As we walked out the park and headed home, we were encouraged by the sight of a group of young people praying with an older man (probably doing evangelizing). It was a ray of hope admist the darkness. God was reminding us that He is still Sovereign and His plan is still in place. =)
