Hero Arts-Just My Type

I have wanted this stamp set forever...yep I think it is just so fun! It would be very easy to add your own personal message don't you think?. This red rubber cling set stamps up perfectly! Wow, I was impressed!

I cut the card  base with my Silhouette, the ovals with my nesties and used some pretty Authentique- Irresistible paper to showcase this fun Hero Arts Cling stamp set My Type from Inspiration Emporium

I debated for several days whether I should add some doo dahs onto the card but finally decided to leave it clean and simple-loving that dark charcoal, grey and cream paper.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Heart Owls by Hero Arts

Isn't this just a cute little image?  I made this Hero Arts Heart Owls card with a special couple in mind! I used a fun fold cut file from the Silhouette Store, but this would be easy enough to make own your own! (the big scallop circle is 5.5 inches and the small scallop is 3 inches)

I got these stamps from Inspiration Emporium-- you can see all their Hero Arts stamps HERE and all their Paper Smooches stamps HERE..

You will see several more fun little Valentine creations coming up in the next few days-so please come back to see them!

See You Soon!

WOYW?w #154-a recipe

Take a gander of to Julia's house and check out what's going on...it is getting close to the 3 year anniversary!

A quick peek at one of the  corners of my crafty room...this is where I keep my sewing machine, copic refills, cricut cartridges, and ink pads. (my Dad made the holder for me) .  Also a pic of my first daughter and I on her wedding day I think maybe 6 years ago.  My hair certainly had less grey then! LOL

Not much change on my desk  this week, or at least that I can show you. Notice the nice smellin' rose on the left side of my desk...specially hand picked for me by one of my son's friends! So nice!

I am going to show you this yummy recipe I scrapped at my local scrapbook store, Urban Paper.  Jill said I could show you this recipe...oh so yummy!  We meet once a month and scrap and taste test a recipe. We scrapped this recipe in April using a pretty Hero Arts stamp for the flower...so far one of my very faves out of 6 years or so! (although I can say that almost all are my fave!)
Such pretty colors, really reminds me of Hawaii!

Here is the recipe:

6 cups flour
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 (1/4 ounce) pacages of yeast
1/2 cup melted butter

Beat eggs. Add pineapple juice, water, sugar, ginger, vanilla & butter. Put 3 cups flour into a large bowl. Add egg mixture and stir. Sprinkle in yeast, 1 package at a time, mixing well. Gradually add remaining flour. Leave batter in bowl, cover with cloth and let rise 1 hour. Remove from bowl and knead in 1/2 cup flour. Knead 10 times. Divide into 3 parts, place in well greased cake pans (ours were made into rolls...yummy that way) cover, let rise 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Three Clover's Thursday Challenge #43-Blue, White and Silver

What a pretty combo...Blue, Silver and White...but I sure had a hard time with this week's 3 Clovers Thursday Challenge. It might have something to do with the busy Christmas season. Just too much to do. I tell you, it's a good thing I have a few days of vacation ahead of me! I am going to go visit little Cole and of course his parents too LOL!

I have had this wonderful Penny Black sentiment stamp since last year and just needed to use it! This sentiment is so me...

I can never
remember if
it snowed for
six days and
six nights when
I was twelve,
of whether it
snowed for
twelve days and
twelve nights
with I was six.

..dylan thomas

I used my cuttlebug folders to emboss the snowflake strip and the village scene, added some brushed silver cardstock, silver strings and some silver pearls. The sentiment is embossed with silver detail powder.

Sorry to make this short, but I am tired and need to hit the bed!

In Loving Memory of Henry Anderson

Sarah Anderson was one of my very first "blogger" friends. She sent me my first copic colored House Mouse card.

Sarah is living a parents worst nightmare...the loss of her 3 year old son Henry. Henry passed away last week from a virus he could not fight. The stamping community is sending their love and support to Sarah in many ways. Pink Cat Studio has started a fundraiser that you can read about here. The proceeds from the sale of this sweet little giraffe digi stamp will go towards the purchase of a memorial tree to be planted in Henry's honor at his favorite zoo.

Please keep Sarah and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Let's Distress! La La Land's Weekly Wednesday Challenge #4

Where has the time gone? It is already week 4 of our La-La Land's Weekly Wednesday Challenge. This week it is all about distressing!

I chose to use Window Lala for my creation this week. Sitting her in a window is pretty simple! I used my new nesties (I think they are label four), but I am not sure. It is late and my brain has gone to bed already LOL!

This beautiful DP set the tone for this card...and sorry I don't know the name...maybe Irina can help me with that as she sent it to me along with this sweet Lala!

I don't think this card needs too much explanation. My distressing is around the edges of the card and and the turquoise layer also. I used that cute little pink Heidi Swapp distresser to rough up the edges. The flowers are cut from some of the coordinating DP and layered with dimensionals.

Come join us this week...it has been fun to see all entries! Irina added Mr Linky, so that simplifies everything...so no excuse not to play this week! Come be one of the top 3!!!
