Papertrey Paper Dolls - Gobble, Gobble and wee Memories SOS Challenge

Wee Memories Challenge #23
The Papertrey Paper Dolls said to use the above pic for inspiration.
The rules are to make it clean and simple with a pop of color. I decided to pull out my new PTI stamp set - Gobble, Gobble and this is what I came up with. I am also linking this card to another new challenge for me - wee Memories SOS Challenge #23 at the suggestion of Michelle Gross who is on the DT for that Challenge. The SOS stands for scallops, orange, and string so my card qualifies. Thanks Michelle! They are being sponsored by Your Next Stamp and there's a prize up for grabs! Check it out!
Edit: This card was the Winner at wee Memories!

My pop of color is this adorable turkey! I die cut the papers and played until I made a combo I liked. I clear embossed the turkey's body to make him shine.

I continued the color with the polka dot border and the buttons. The sentiment is also from this stamp set and I loved how well it fit under the border! The other thing I tried with this card is lightly embossing the card with PTI's canvas impression plate before adhering the turkey and border. I'm not a big fan of plain paper and was THRILLED that the embossing came out so well! (Enlarge card to see embossing better!)

Thanks to this fun challenge from the Papertrey Paper Dolls, I have now created my Thanksgiving card to send to my friends and family!
RECIPE:
All things PTI except ink - SU Close to Cocoa and buttons from stash

Congrats on your WIN and thanks for the sweet comments on my blog. I didn't realize the background of the white was embossed. Nice touch. Yeah, tough for me too to have just a "plain" white paper background too. I like that texture. (:
