Design Team Call!!

Hi everyone!! Hope your week is going great. I am doing a Design Team call for the next term which will be August '11 - Jan '12. I need to do it early for schedule planning and to get sponsor goodies sent to the new team members in time for those upcoming sponsorships, especially if one of the new team members is International.

Here are the details for the DT call:

I'm looking for 2 DT members to add to our current team of awesomely talented ladies. We will be saying goodbye to Ann and Wendy in August :( and introducing our new team.  Each DT member term will last 6 months. The new term will start on August 1st, 2011 and end on January 1st, 2011. Acceptance letters will be sent before the announcement of the new design team members. I would love for designers to apply who love cards, layouts and altered art. One DT member I choose will be our Altered/Scrapbook artist.

Does that sound good? Then here's what I need from you.

Requirements to apply:

• Be fun, outgoing and creative!
• You must have an active blog to apply and keep your blog active during your term.
• Create one project a week for the challenge, including all the details of the challenge in your post mentioning the Sponsor and the prize offered.
• Along with creating a weekly project, promote the challenge on your blog and in forums, Facebook, Twitter, SCS, and other places as much as you can... its not something that is a time consuming commitment.
• Take good photos of your projects, clean and clear.
• Comment on challenge participants blogs.
• Link to all DT members and Wee Memories Challenge on your blog.
• Participate in any promotions or events.

If this sounds good to you please provide the following:

• 3 samples of your best and newest creations (cards, altered art, or scrapbook layouts) that show who you are as a designer.
• Your name, address, phone # and email address.
• A brief paragraph of why you would like to join the DT and what you believe you can bring to the team.
• A list of current and past DT's that you have been on, no DT exp. necessary.

Again I want to stress that if you are not picked for the DT, please don't be offended, I adore you all. The person that I am its hard for me not to pick everyone cause I don't want to disappoint or hurt anyones feelings. Please understand.

Our challenge is growing and growing and we want you to grow with us!! Just like our current DT ladies have. We will welcome back most of my current DT members when the announcement is made of the new additions to the Design Team.

Just wanted to announce my new Design Team. Im sure most of you are on pins and needles (ya right lol) so I didnt want to leave you in suspense any longer! hehehe :)


I have to say, wow, what a hard decision that was. One of the hardest I have had to make. Cause I love everyone. I only wanted to have a 4 girl design team, well that didnt happen. I got so many applications, and I appreciate them all! :) :) :) But I can only have so many, so here are the girls:

Design Team Call Update

I totally spaced and realized I made my call end the day before the challenge post which wont give enough time for the new DT to have cards ready! EEK!

So im cutting the DT call a little shorter. I have gotten lots of applications and I appreciate everyones interest, it really makes me feel good about where my blog and challenge is headed!! Its exciting.

While I love ALL the applications I received I can only have so many design team members, and thats always such a hard choice. But I will keep all the applications for the next call and those that are not on this term will be reconsidered for the next term.

So if you still want to get your application into me, you have until today at 5pm PST. You can see all the details on the left sidebar under design team call.

I will be back later to announce my new Design Team as soon as I have heard back that they accepted the DT position. Im so excited!!

Plus instead of 3-4 design team members, I am changing it to a few more ;)

I can let you in on a little secret - my Design Team coordinator will be Kim Wilson - Off the Wall Craftiness. Most of you may or may not know but we are close friends, we live only 30 min apart, we get together to hang out and craft and we talk everyday (well text lol). When my blog first started she came along, we realized we lived so close together. We hit it off like we were seperated at birth, we drive the same car, we are both Leos, we both like Celtic music, we have soooo much in common! Her daughters birthday is coming up, I cant wait to go to the party, but be sure to leave her some love over at May Arts. She created some amazing goodies for her daughters birthday party! So cute!! Design Team Call

I decided its time I need help. I have been going over this time and time again in my mind wondering if I should have a DT or not. But the fact is the challenge is growing and I want some help to promote my sponsors and the challenge to grow even more. This will still be my personal blog as well. I like it that way. And I will keep my DT small for the time being. One thing I always worried about when doing a DT call is hurting anyones feelings if I didnt pick them for the DT... PLEASE know its nothing personal and I will have more DT calls in the future but the fact is I can only pick so many to be a DT member. I still love you all though and care about each of my friends and followers here. I try my hardest to visit everyone that comes here. I appreciate and cherish all of you and your warmth and friendship!!

Again I want to stress that if you are not picked for the first term DT, please dont be offended, I still love you all. The person that I am its hard for me not to pick everyone LOL cause I dont want to disappoint or hurt anyones feelings. Thats why I use random.org to pick my challenge winners, lol. I dont want to ever hurt anyones feelings.

Also just in talking about that, when the new DT starts the winners will be picked by the design team from now on. We will have a winner and a Fab 4. The winners and the fab 4 will get badges that will be revealed the day of the announcement. For past winners I will also be putting a badge up for you.

My challenges are headed in an awesome direction!! I have 5 new sponsors coming on board and My regular sponsors and current sponsors are AWESOME!! I look forward to the great things to come.
