Scrapbook.com Sunny Lane Florals Hello card

Hi everyone! You all know how much I love a good flower die set. I have my forever favorite, Be Bold Blooms and a few others by Spellbinders, but I have another one to add to the list. It's called Sunny Lane Florals by Scrapbook.com.
SUNNY LANE FLORALS AND THANK YOU SENTIMENTS DIE SETS

Sunny Lane Florals has 27 dies of flowers, leaves and sprigs. There are many ways to layer and create different flowers by mixing and matching the flowers and centers it's a really versatile set. You need to check it out!
I die cut my flowers from bright colors of pink, purple and deep orange as I wanted them to POP off the card against the black and white background.
The background is washi tape from Altenew called Dotted. It is a large 4.5" wide washi tape roll and is the perfect size to create fun backgrounds for colorful floral cards. It is a bit challenging to glue down on top of, even foam tape didn't stick, so I used Artis glue by Scrapbook.com. Once it had a chance to dry, they are glued down for good!
The hello sentiment is from the Thank You Sentiments die set which is a set of 4 words that are medium sized and in a really pretty font!
I love how this turned out 😍

Easy Pinkfresh Studio washi tape cards

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing 2 quick and easy cards using Pinkfresh Studio washi tape die cuts. I bought this lovely dahlia washi tape and die cut them out almost a year ago. Evidently I set them aside and lost them, only to find them this weekend! Check out what I made.
This washi tape is STUNNING! Really, ALL of their washi tape is stunning. What I love is Pinkfresh makes coordinating die sets to cut out all the pieces (or you can fussy cut them if the die is not in your budget). I chose to adhere the washi tape to white cardstock, but for a softer look you can adhere to vellum and it has a beautiful translucent look.
For this square card, I used the Stitched Scalloped Squares and chose cardstock that coordinated with the pinks in the washi designs. I layered 4 of the cut outs at opposite corners, added a few gold pearls and a glimmered sentiment from my sentiment stash box.
This is a mini slimline card and the Slimline Stitched Scalloped Rectangles are sized for a regular slimline card, so I cut pieces out on all 4 sides to make it smaller. Most of the cut lines I was able to cover up with the washi die cuts, but if you look close at the top right corner, you can see one peeking out! For the background, I used the Geometric Tile layering stencil set. I used Distress Oxide inks on 2 of the 4 layers so it the washi die cuts could take center stage.

Supplies used on these cards:
Distress Oxide inks in Saltwater Taffy and Bundled Sage
Black Glossy cardstock

Christmas Joy

Hi everyone! I have a few Christmas cards to share today. I've used stamps from the newest mini release from Stamp Simply. The 2 sets are Christmas Peace & Joy and they are designed to compliment each other and use interchangeably. Even the pattern on the ornaments and candle base match.
Aren't they fabulous!?! My cards use the Christmas Joy set. Take a look.
I was able to share this card on my Instagram last week, but didn't have time to post it here. I colored the ornaments with copic markers and then covered them with Journey Glaze. Then I used coordinating rhinestones as accents. Being matchy-matchy like this makes me happy!!

Next up I have a trio of easy to make coordinating cards. For these, I used the largest ornament stamp and colored them the same colors as the first card. I also used color coordinated cardstock and ribbon- I just LOVE the crisp bows you can make with the gorgeous Faux Canvas ribbon! And again everything is matchy-matchy!
I added a piece of 1/8" washi tape down the left side and filled in the ornament pattern with a Sakura clear sparkle pen (remember those?).  I'll be adding these to my neighbors Christmas gift baskets! I do intend to finish up with the 5 colors, but I just ran out of time. Things have been a little crazy here in the Portland area with all the fires and subsequent hazardous smoke. Fortunately thing are FINALLY calming down and we can go outside again. Man, I've had about enough of 2020!
Here are a couple close up pictures. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

All about the washi tape!

Hi everyone!  So have you all had a chance to check out the new washi tape collections in the new catalog?  SO AMAZING!  I've always loved washi tape and this year we have 6 new collections with 1 additional collection offered as a Bloom Benefits (free product earned after certain order totals).  My card uses the Cool Parade Journey tape collection.

My card uses all 3 tapes in the collection.  I thought they paired nicely with the fun peach colored resin flower from the Confectionary Blooms pack and Denim Days ink.

I also want too mention that if you're looking for a way to store your lovely rolls of washi tape, we have a new Journey Tape Rack.  They are $24.95 each, hold 7 rolls, and are stackable!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great afternoon!

Advent Bundle project -Let it snow

Hi everyone!  I have a fun treat box and card to share.  Fun Stampers Journey put together a cute kit to help us count down to Christmas and it's 30% off this month. The FSJ Advent Box Bundle includes everything needed to make and decorate your own advent boxes.  25 boxes, numbered tags with matching die, 25 jumbo wooden clips, gold accents and twine!
Advent Box Bundle:

If Advent isn't your thing, these boxes/bags make adorable treat containers for any occasion!
Before I assembled my box, I stamped snowflakes from the Snow Burst stamp set with white pigment ink.  It takes awhile for white ink to dry, but you can help set the ink with a shot of your heat gun.
For the bottom border, I used the Scalloped Pocket Sleeve Die and some washi tape from the Be Cool set.
Here's my matching card, it was easy to put together using the same elements as the box.
Oh and of course I didn't forget to add my sequin accents!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here's a close up pic.

Hello banner card

Hi everyone!  Today's card uses the fun Baby Buntings die set.  I die cut some patterned paper and cardstock and turned the banner pieces upside down.
The die cut flower is from one of my all time favorite flower sets, Jewel Flowers & Flourishes and I used a FSJ crystal flower accent for the center.  I adhered a couple washi tapes across the card front, one is silver dotted and the other a pale turquoise glitter!  So pretty, be still my heart.
That's it for today, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.

Heart You card

Hi everyone!  I was in the mood to play around with my embossing paste, so I made this "heart you" card.  I like how the embossing paste adds just the right amount of texture combined with the texture plate from the Build-a-Tag One die set.
Notice my embossing paste is pink?  I added a bit of color to my white paste by using the FSJ Bubblegum Pink silk!  It's a fun way to customize and match colors on your project.
I use the Diagonal Chevron die to make my stencil. I wanted the triangle corner pieces along the bottom left, so I flipped the die cut over and taped it down.  I added paste to the first 4 openings.
Here are the tag die sets I used:
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.  You can really see the dimension and texture the tag texture plate added!

Fun fringy card

Hi everyone!  I have a fun fringy card to share today.  There is a new fringe die in town and it's SUPER fun.  It's part of the Celebra'tions line from Spellbinders.
I die cut a variety of blue colors in the fringe and created an ombre effect.  I originally wanted this to say congrats and be a graduation card, but the word was too long and didn't look right.  So SMILE it is!  I added some gold glittered washi tape along the top and some fun gold sequins for accents.
Here is the fringe die.  It's designed to be folded over, but for my card I trimmed it to have one layer for each color.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Here is a close up pic.

Butterfly birthday wishes

Hi everyone!  I have a butterfly birthday card to share today which uses five different kinds of gold brads!  Yep 5!!  This is Day 3 of my guesting at Eyelet Outlet and Brads and I invite you to head on over to their blog to see my guest post and check out the wide range of products their store carries.
I loved the idea of doing an ombre effect with the color and sizing of the butterflies.  As the butterflies got smaller and lighter in color, I decreased the size of my center brad.  The butterflies came from 3 different die sets, the bottom butterfly is from Les Papillions, the middle is from Flutters and the top is from Les Papillions Two.
Here are all 3 sets:
And the gold accents scattered about are the 1/16 mini gold and 1/8 gold brads.  SO adorable!  The little 1/16th size are super cute and perfectly scaled for cards.  They really make me happy.

The subtle background you're seeing is made from a stamp.  I stamped the little grid background stamp from the Make A Statement set in Versamark and embossed it with sparkle powder.  I love the subtle effect it creates.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Hello - Love You

Hi everyone!  I have a fun card to share today using speech bubbles in a couple of ways.  This is Day 2 of my guesting at Eyelet Outlet and Brads and I used 2 brads for the sentiments!  Super cute!  Head on over to their blog to see my guest post and check out the wide range of products their store carries.
First I adhered some washi tape across the card base and die cut a square using the Pierced Squares die.  I die cut a speech bubble (Conversation Bubble 2) into the square and used the negative opening as a frame of sorts.  I attached the brads to an oval speech bubble (Conversation Bubble 3) and popped it up over the washi tape.  I added a couple rhinestones from the pink and green Jewel Strips!

Butterfly shaker card

Hi everyone!  I have another shaker card to share today.  This one uses the negative of a butterfly die for the shaker opening and I filled it with some sequins and beads.
First I adhered the patterned paper to my card base and then die cut a square using the Pierced Squares.  Next I die cut a butterfly from the Les Papillions set in the center.  This was the base for my shaker part.  Instead of using an adhesive foam sheet like my last card, I used an adhesive foam frame!  I had them in rectangle form, but I just cut a small piece on either side to make it fit.
To accent my frame, I used a bit of 1/8" gold foil washi tape as a border just inside the piercings.  I love the touches of gold it gave, and it highlighted the few gold sequins that were inside.
The sentiment was die cut from gold mirror cardstock adding even more shiny gold goodness!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!  Here's a close up of the shaker part.
Spellbinders Dies: S4-371 Les Papillions and S2-141 Sentiments 5 Shapeabilities®; SCD-008 Pierced Squares Nestabilities®
