Honey Bee Stamps Mini Holiday Florals Poinsettia card and tag

Hi crafty friends! My obsession with poinsettia dies continues! Today's card and tag duo uses some pretties from Honey Bee Stamps. If you're new here, you can check out a few other poinsettia cards posted HERE and HERE.
The GORGEOUS poinsettias are from the Mini Holiday Florals die set. I die cut them from a very light pink cardstock (retired Pink Pirouette from SU!) and inked them with 2 shades of darker pink distress oxide ink for dimension and used some Snowtek on the petals. The centers are inked with yellow ink and then I added some yellow Glitter Brush marker for a pop of sparkle.
The white splatter is made super easy with the White Lustre Brush by Scrapbookcom 😍

This adorable tag uses an extra poinsettia and greenery placed on a tag die cut from the Terrific Tags die set. Fun fact, I bought this die set over a year ago and finally remembered to bring it out to use 😂
This cute tag is going to my growing stash! I put handmade tags on all of my Christmas packages. I even grab my favorites from the pile of wrapping papers headed for recycling to use again next year!
Please tell me I'm not the only one! LOL!

Pretty Pink Posh Noel Poinsettia Card

Hi crafty friends! I have another pretty Christmas card to share. These gorgeous poinsettias and greenery are from Pretty Pink Posh and they are set against some holiday patterned paper by Spellbinders.
WINTER FOLIAGE DIE SET AND WINTER GREETINGS STAMP SET

The poinsettias and greenery are from the Winter Foliage die set (which is currently out of stock) and the sentiment is from the Winter Greetings Stamp/Die set. Since Winter Foliage is out of stock, I linked a few other similar sets below!
I wanted the poinsettia cluster to pop a bit, so I lightly inked the Emerald Cut panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. And for a bit of texture I die cut the leaves with green patterned paper and die cut one of the sprigs with gold mirror cardstock. 💖
I love how this turned out!

Waffle Flower Peachy Sunflowers slimline card

Hi crafty friends! I love sunflowers and may have a minor obsession with them. I just HAD to have the new Sunflower die set by Waffle Flower when it was released a few weeks ago. No joke, I think this is my 4th sunflower die set 💖
To start my card, I looked through the Woodland A2 paper pad and found this pretty gingham paper. I liked the soft peach, pale yellow and white colors and used them as my starting point. I die cut my Sunflowers from a matching peach and leaves from a dusty blue color, both from the Harvest A2 cardstock paper pad. I used the Mini Slimline Lacy Layers die set for the card shape and popped a piece of brown cardstock between the die cuts to tie in the sentiment.
I sponged the flowers and leaves with a matching ink for a little depth and used a Copic marker along the veins. Lastly I used a couple Glitter Brush markers to add some shimmer and added a few Glitter Drop accents. I love how this turned out!

OCTOBER 2024 WAX SEAL OF THE MONTH AND HOLIDAY BLOOMS DIE SET

This month's Wax Seal stamp is called "Season of Wonder" and features the saying, Most wonderful time of the year in a really cute font! I started out using the Christmas mix of wax beads and used 1 of each color, but switched out the gold for a black one.
The poinsettias, blooms and greenery are from the gorgeous Holiday Blooms die set. I absolutely love this die set and thought the flowers would frame my wax seal nicely. I used patterned paper called A Wonderful Christmas by Carta Bella. I used it for the background and I die cut the flowers and greenery from it. I used a few wax drops for the flower centers. I love how this turned out.

Giveaway winner and a reposted blog post

Hi crafty friends! I have a winner for my extra Happy Halloween Banner die set!
Congratulations Denise Bryant!!
Your name was picked from the hat!!
Please send me an email with your address and I'll get a crafty package out to you.

Like many other crafters, I am having serious issues with Blogger. They are unpublishing most of my new posts and even some older blog posts. It seems that behind the scenes, my blog is getting hit with some kind of spam/spider/bots and it's triggering Blogger to remove my posts for "Community Guidelines violations". I appeal the decision and MOST of the time my blog post is put back, but not all, so I wanted to repost a card that was removed months ago and I just can't get it reinstated.

This water colored floral card was originally posted in September 2022:

I colored these diecuts with a fun technique called Ink Smooshing. And it's pretty much as it sounds, just apply the ink to your surface (I have a Tim Holtz glass media mat), spritz with water and then smoosh your paper over the ink. Lift and dab around until you get the look you want. In this case, I used Distress Oxide inks.
I used Tim Holtz Brushstroke Flowers #2 dies. At first I was intimidated on how to put these together, but Tim is brilliant and there is a faint embossed outline on the main flowers that shows where the accent pieces go. Made it really easy!

SBC Fest Day 2 inspiration - Thanks floral card

Hi everyone! I have a fun card to share. This weekend was the 5th annual SBC Fest hosted by Scrapbook.com. SBC Fest is a 2-day virtual papercrafting event with card making and scrapbooking classes by some of your favorite crafty instructors like Simon Hurley, Kristie Marcotte, Jamie Pate and more! The class videos are available FOREVER so if you can watch them any time at your convenience.
Here is a link to the SBC Fest page which shows each instructor, their class supplies list, and class homework. This is my 3rd year and I love to watch and play along with products I have in my stash.

As an affiliate, SBC gave me early access to the instructors cards and after seeing their projects and checking the class supply lists, I was excited to see I had the all the die sets that Erin Thompson used in her class! And you know I love me a floral die cut card. Be sure to catch her class on the replay! 💖
Here is my card inspired by her wonderful class project
SUNNY LANE FLORAL AND THANK YOU SENTIMENTS DIE SETS

I kept the basic layout of her card, sentiment and general flower placement. I changed out the papers used and I added patterned papers along with solids for my floral die cuts. I also changed the background to be white cardstock embossed by the Tiny Dots folder and went with silver instead of gold for my arches.
I think it's pretty amazing that Scrapbook.com puts on a free 2 day virtual event. I consider myself a seasoned card maker and I learn LOTS of tips and tricks with every class I watch. If you find yourself wanting to purchase any of the class supplies, be sure to use the code SBCFEST5 at checkout for 10% off.
AND add those freebies too! Here are 2 of the 4 freebies offered right now!
TIP: add the freebies one at a time. Once in your cart, add 1 freebie, then leave the cart and go back in and add the next.

Thinking of you Blue Poppies

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card from the latest collection designed by Yana Smakula for Spellbinders called Yana's Poppies. This collection features this gorgeous poppy die and outline and a BetterPress background plate with coordinating stencil.
YANA'S POPPIES AND BE BOLD BLOOMS DIE SETS

The die set is called Yana's Poppy and is filled with tons of details. I wanted to add a bit of fluff to the poppy bloom so I used a few die cuts from Be Bold Blooms.
I was cleaning out my 6x6 paper pads and stumbled on Morning Memories by Paper Rose and just HAD to use it. It's an older paper pad and I wanted to get 1 more card from it before I donated what little I had left.
From what I understand, blue poppies are kinda rare and hard to grow, but they sure look stunning in paper! I love how this turned out!

A Little Hello Landscape Roses card

Hi everyone! I've been out of town and doing lots of summer stuff and it's been a minute since I made a card, so it felt good to get back to my craft room! I have a fun card to share today. I love anything to do with my favorite flower the rose, so when I saw the Landscape Rose die set from Susan Tierney-Cockburn's newest collection, I had to have it!
There are many varieties of these roses, but one of the most pretty are the white with pink tips, so I used that variety in my design.
LANDSCAPE ROSE DIE SET AND STARSHINE BACKGROUND DIE

I used my new favorite cover plate die, the fabulous Starshine Background die for the background and there are tiny holes in the design, just enough to see some pink show through from the matting layer. So pretty!!
To make the flowers I inked the edges with 2 shades of pink ink and kept the centers white and used a light yellow for the stamens with a touch of orange on the tips. I use Susan Tierney-Cockburn's flower dies from time to time and I always watch her videos first. You can find them on the product page.
I also bought her Flower Mold Tray and her Ultimate Tool Kit and they have been really helpful. Definitely look into it if you struggle to make these detailed flowers.
These roses are pretty thick, so I will not mail this card. It's definitely a hand deliver only situation. I love how it turned out!

Hello Floral card

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another card using the new Spotlight Frames and Florals collection designed Lisa Horton for Spellbinders and the Bayfair collection by Rosie's Studios. I love both of these collections, you can see my other projects using them HERE, HERE and HERE.
STITCHED EDGE CIRCLE BACKGROUND AND FLORAL SPRAY DIE SETS

These lovely flower blooms are from the Floral Spray die set, and I die cut them in purples with pale green leaves and a soft yellow for the centers.
The card base and main panel are die cut using the Nested Postage Labels & Tag die set which I see as a MUST HAVE basic set for your die collection!
The fabulous sentiment is from the A Little Hello Sentiments stamp and die set which is a stamp and die set. The Hello has 2 layering shadow dies (I used 1) and there are 7 coordinating sentiment stamps each with an outline die!

CRAFT-A-FLOWER: SULFUR COSMOS DIE SET

My card uses the gorgeous Sulfer Cosmos die set which is part of their Craft-A-Flower series. I looked up Sulfer Cosmo flowers and found out they are rich yellows, oranges and red colors. They are stunning!
I die cut the flowers and leaves from Bristol Smooth cardstock and ink blended colors on them. After I inked the petals and assembled the flowers, I used glitter brush markers to give a rich shimmer and dimension to them. I also added shimmer to the sentiment and leaves.
The background is the Circle Quilt Cover die cut from black cardstock adhered to a black card base. I added a couple Amber clear drops accents.
I don't make cards with black backgrounds often, but I love how this turned out!

Scrapbook.com Sunny Lane Florals Hello card

Hi everyone! You all know how much I love a good flower die set. I have my forever favorite, Be Bold Blooms and a few others by Spellbinders, but I have another one to add to the list. It's called Sunny Lane Florals by Scrapbook.com.
SUNNY LANE FLORALS AND THANK YOU SENTIMENTS DIE SETS

Sunny Lane Florals has 27 dies of flowers, leaves and sprigs. There are many ways to layer and create different flowers by mixing and matching the flowers and centers it's a really versatile set. You need to check it out!
I die cut my flowers from bright colors of pink, purple and deep orange as I wanted them to POP off the card against the black and white background.
The background is washi tape from Altenew called Dotted. It is a large 4.5" wide washi tape roll and is the perfect size to create fun backgrounds for colorful floral cards. It is a bit challenging to glue down on top of, even foam tape didn't stick, so I used Artis glue by Scrapbook.com. Once it had a chance to dry, they are glued down for good!
The hello sentiment is from the Thank You Sentiments die set which is a set of 4 words that are medium sized and in a really pretty font!
I love how this turned out 😍

Spellbinders From the Garden collection | Sparkly white layered flowers

Hi everyone! Today's card uses some of the dies in the Vintage Florals die set which is part of the new From the Garden collection by Spellbinders. It is gorgeous! I love the way it is designed so that it layers easily and perfectly. 💖
VINTAGE FLORALS DIE SET

I had some white blooms die cut and assembled left over from this white on white wedding card and wanted use them. I just got the Love Notes paper pad by Echo Park and wanted to use it. The striped paper was the perfect background to the white blooms.
To make them pop a bit, I added Stardust Stickles to the flowers along the accent die cut lines. Takes the guess work out of where to highlight.

Simple white on white wedding card

Hi everyone! I am still inspired by the Simon Says Stamp IG January challenge which is to make a white on white card. For this card, I used a few products from the gorgeous From the Garden collection by Wendy Vecchi for Spellbinders. 💖
VINTAGE FLORALS AND HEARTFELT THANKS AND SCALLOPS DIES

This is a really rounded collection with 2 die sets, 1 stamp set, 1 layering stencil set and 1 3D embossing folder. I used the 2 die sets, Vintage Florals and Heartfelt Thanks and Scallops die sets. I absolutely love both sets.
I die cut a heart out of the lower left side of my panel and popped it up with dimensional foam strips. Before I adhered it to the square card base, I embossed a small piece of cardstock with the Tiny Dots embossing folder to the lower left part so it would show behind the heart opening.
I love how it gives some texture! I die cut the flowers and leaves with white and adhered to the left of the heart opening. Lastly, I wrapped some white cord around the panel and adhered a tiny bow and added a few gems for some sparkle.
