Pretty Pink Poinsettias

Hi everyone! I am playing along in the Hero Arts October Stay Crafty challenge which is Merry Everything. Well, I just so happen to have the lovely Paper Layering Poinsettia dies from HA and they were on my desk ready to be used.

I chose to go with pink colors because of all the glorious pink Christmas cards I've been seeing on Instagram. I do make a few each year, but this year may be the year to ramp it up. These turned out so so pretty.

I made the background using the new Holiday Flora embossing folder from Gina K Designs and WOW! Isn't it fabulous?

Supplies used on this card:
Paper Layering Poinsettia
Holiday Blooms die set (Accent greenery)
Silver foil (for sentiment)
Cardstock: Glossy Black, Memory Box; Pink Pirouette, Stampin' Up; Mint Julip, PTI; Fern and Pink Sand, Spellbinders

Stamp Simply Fruit of the Spirit release

Hi everyone! Long time no post. I took the summer off from crafting to do some much needed front yard redo/landscaping and to spend time with my boys.
Today I'm back to share a trio of note cards I made with the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps newest release, Fruit of the Spirit!
I colored each fruit image with my Arteza Watercolor brush pens. These were actually pretty quick and easy to color. I think I've finally got the hang of it!
The note cards measure 4"x4" and each have a strip of white cardstock embossed with the Spellbinders Elite EF bordered by a strip of patterned paper from Craft Consortium Watercolors 6x6 pad. The papers in this pad are seriously GORGEOUS, you have to check them out! My cards don't do them justice, you have to see the complete patterns!
I was in a matchy-matchy mood, so each card has a piece of coordinating 1/8" silk ribbon.
Here's a close up look at each note card:
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
Other supplies used:
Spellbinders Standard Circles LG and Circles SM
Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Introducing some new flower and branch dies

Hi everyone!  Yesterday I had a chance to play around with several of FSJ's new flower and branch dies and made a small note card set for my sister.  If you've followed me for any amount of time it's no secret I LOVE anything flowers!  So it's no surprise with the new catalog product launch, I gravitated to these first.
My set of three cards all use the same basic layout, satin ribbon layered with organdy, the Love Stripes embossing folder and sentiments from the Hostess Exclusive set called Family Forever.

My first card uses the amazing branch die called Detailed Foliage die cut from Silver Mirror cardstock (which is new and a FAV of mine).  I paired it with the large flower from the Bloom Benefits Victorian Accent pack and River Stone satin ribbon.
My second card uses the Bloom Creator die set with the Hostess Exclusive die Mystic Vine.  I alternated the blooms and branches with Cool Pool, Vellum and Silver Mirror cardstock.
My last card uses the Star Burst Bloom die set.  Just one word for you, LOVE.  I made this one using Lavender Fusion and Silver Mirror.  I kept the bloom without a branch behind is as I thought the layering pieces in this set stood alone.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

First Christmas card of the season

Hi everyone!  So with all the excitement of FSJ's new catalog launch, you may have missed that FSJ also launched their Journey Holiday's catalog!  Yes, the holiday mini catalog is out and just as cute as ever!  You can view it online here.

Today I'm sharing my FIRST Christmas card of the year and I used a couple new goodies from the catalog.  The stamp set is called Oh Holy and is a set of 6 sentiments with coordinating dies!  Super cute:

I also used a piece of the Tis the Season paper pack and one of the new ribbons.  WHAT?!?  New ribbons you say?  Why yes, this catalog has TEN new ribbons!!  There are 3 organza, 3 grosgrain and 4 specialty sparkle ribbons.  My card uses the Candy Apple Sparkle ribbon and it has tiny gold flecks in it, it's the coolest thing!!
Speaking of the Holiday Journey catalog, there are 6 special "holiday Sparkle" bundles available for the month of August, you can check them all out here.  They range in price from $50 -$65.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture which shows the gold flecks in the ribbon.

Hugs to you

Hi everyone!  I have a soft monochromatic card to share today.  Change up the sentiment and this would make a lovely wedding card, especially if done with the bridal colors.

The background is from the J Blooms embossing folder.  I really don't use it often because of it's large embossed images, but I think I've been wrong.  It's quite lovely even when only bits and pieces show through.  The butterfly is stamped in the Sweet Pear ink and highlighted with some glitter on the wings.  I love the pop of pink with a single sequin in the center.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Conversation bubbles card

Hi everyone!!  I have a fun card to share.  This one uses 3 of the 4 Conversation Bubble die sets, which are part of the Die D-Lites line (and only $10).  SO.  Stinkin'.  Cute!  I could make cards with these all day.
The embossed background is from one of my favorites the Lovely Lattice embossing folder.  Spellbinders folders are double sided, so you get 2 designs for the price of one!!
The striped rectangle bubble normally has the pointer on the right side, but I wanted more balance so I flipped it over and you really can't tell at all.  I added a bit of ribbon to a mini paper clip which is something I never do, but think is super cute!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.
