Wednesday: French Toast
Thursday: Olive Garden Fettuccine (Laurel's recipe)
Friday/Saturday: Porkchops

Here are some pics of the last couple weeks of food.

Food Frenzy

Okay, I am pretty proud of myself.  We have been doing these weekly menus for 5 weeks now.  It has really been SO nice to have everything planned out in advance.  Now I just need to start planning and using coupons when I shop! I really suck at that so I don't know when that will happen.  So, for now, here is our meal for the week:
Monday: Fajitas
Tuesday: Lasagna
Wednesday: Hamburgers and home-made fries
Thursday: Lefties
Friday/Saturday: Calzone

P.S. Post to come: Breckyn's first "meal". SOOO CUTE!

Here are a few pictures from last week's meals:

Mizithra Chesse and noodles: looks plain but it is SO yummy!

Cheese Stuffed Chicken

Butternut Squash Casserole

Say Cheese!

Last week I didn't do a menu because Brady was out of town for a while.  But, we started it back up this week. Here is our menu for the week.  After we decided on everything we realized that they are all cheesy meals.  Whoops!  We both LoVe cheese (obviously) so it is going to be a yummy week!

Monday: Mizithra Cheese with noodles
Tuesday: Cheese Stuffed Chicken
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Butternut Squash Casserole
Friday: Grilled Cheese
Saturday: out to eat somewhere!

I did make a cheesy (yes, another cheese recipe) chicken bake last week and took a picture.  It turned out pretty yummy.

P.S. Happy Valentines Day!

Bon Appetit

I am proud to say that I had a successful week of cooking.  On Monday Brady made the Chimmichangas and they were SO yummy!  Then on Thursday I made spaghetti and meatballs.  I tried Brady's mom's recipe for the meatballs and they turned out yummy!
For the breakfast meal we made crepes.  Oh can I just tell you how I love crepes?! They are one of my favorites.  My sister bought us the most fabulous thing a few years ago.  If any of you like crepes I would highly recommend getting one of these.

You just make the batter and dip this in and there you have a crepe!  It is awesome
So for this week we have set our menu and hopefully we can follow it as well as last week!  After we get good at doing different meals I am going to try to start using coupons.  Any good tips???
Monday: Grilled cheese (or maybe dinner w/mom and dad)
Tuesday: Manicotti
Wednesday: Cheesy Chicken Vegetables with Rice
Thursday: Meatloaf (sounds yucky, but it is YUMMY)
Friday/Saturday: Out one night, lefties the other

Now I am off to bed so I can have lots of energy to take care of this sick girl. Isn't she so cute!?

P.S.  If you haven't seen the movie Julie and Julia you should see it.  Very cute.  That is why I thought of this for the title of the blog post. :)

Mmm mmm good...

So Brady and I decided that we need to be better at planning meals.  Since we have moved out of my parent's house we have not had great meals.  So, last week we decided to make a menu for the week.  We also decided that I am going to just go to the store once to get everything we need.  We did really good last week and it felt good to have dinner all planned out when I got home.  So, I think I am going to try and post what we are going to have for the week on our blog so there is a little accountability.  If any of you have good ideas for some pretty easy recipes, please let me know!!!  I am open to anything.  So, here is our menu for the week.

Monday: Chimmichangas
Tuesday: Chicken Spaghetti
Wednesday: Leftover buffet (not my favorite but I don't like food left in the fridge and Brady doesn't like to throw anything away)
Thursday: Spaghetti and Meatballs
Friday or Saturday: go out one night, breakfast for dinner another

So, I guess next week I will have to report on how I did this week.  But really, please let me know if you know of any good recipes or any blogs or websites with good recipes!
