More Stamp a Stack.

Hi, here is the other card we made at the Stamp a Stack. Again the girls had to make 5 in different colours and using different greetings. The stamp sets used are Because I Care and Afterthoughts, both are level 1 hostess sets. The base card has been embossed with embossing folders using the Big Shot and lightly sponged. After stamping the flower on Whisper White card we stamped again on scrap paper and cut out to make a reverse mask. Placed the mask over the flower and lightly sponged ink onto the flower image. Then added detail with a Stampin' Write Marker. A really fun and quick way to colour. We then added Champagne Shimmer Mist with a dauber to added a bit of shimmer. (Scroll down to see close up of shimmer) We then added a greeting, a cute bow and distressed the edges with the cutter kit.

This first card is in Pretty in Pink with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

This one is Peach Parfait with the Elegant Lines embossing folder. I went a crazy with the sponging on this one.

And this one is Certainly Celery with the Manhattan Flower embossing folder.

Here is the close up of the Shimmer Paint. It's very hard to photograph, but it looks fantastic. A tip when using Shimmer Paint, Less is Best.

Stamp A Stack.

Hi, I hope you all had a great weekend, it's been very wet here and despite the rain we had a fantastic time at the Stamp A Stack on Saturday. Here is one of the Owl card's we made, the girls made 5 of these in different colours. Mixing up the colours of the owl. Lots of fun and lots of missing eyes. :)
This first card is using Crumb Cake card base stamped with Soft Suede ink with the Woodgrain Background stamp. The other colour used is Daffodil Delight and the greeting is from the Curly Cute stamp set. Not forgetting the Rhinestone Jewels.

And this card is using Soft Suede card base stamped with Early Espresso ink and Concord Crush for the greeting and Owl. With Pearl Jewels.

I'll show you the other cards using the Because I Care stamp set next post so check back for that.
Thanks so much to all the girls for making it such a fun afternoon.

Stamp A Stack.

Wow, what a fantastic day we had on Saturday for World Card Making Day. Thanks to everyone who came and joined in on the fun. We've now made a great start with our Christmas cards and hopefully your now motivated to get all your Christmas cards done.
Congratulations to Leanne and Margaret who won the door prizes. Have fun with your goodies. :)
So here's what we made, this cute tree decoration made from the large and small tag punches. The center snow flake is from the Baroque Motifs stamp set with a rhinestone brad.

We did some colouring with the Stampin' Write Markers using the Holiday Lineup stamp set and added crystal effects. This stamp set is sooo much fun, I love it. The greeting is from the Happy Everything set.

And we used the Tree Trimmings (Spring Mini) stamp set to make these cards. We embossed the main ornament with a mixture of clear embossing powder and dazzling diamonds. It looks great in real life. The greeting is from Best Yet (level 1 hostess set).

And yes I am planning another Christmas Stamp A Stack so keep checking the blog for details on that so you don't miss out.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the afternoon and I'm looking forward to seeing you again.
The winners of the door prize's were Marie, Angie and Lesley. Congratulations!
So these are the cards we made.

And a gift card holder.

Karen came up with a brilliant idea for the gift card holder, I didn't get a photo of it so I'll have to make one to show you. Sometime this week.
