Fab Friday 29

I do know it's Saturday today :) the blog title refers to the challenge blog  I'm playing along with today. Fab Friday 29 a sketch challenge this week.
I've made a very glittery Christmas card for this challenge, (you'll love this one Maree) can you see all the glitter!
Here's the sketch.
I had glitter everywhere, I can even taste it.
Products used are Snowflake Soiree stamp set inked with Pool Party and Bermuda Bay. I covered the whole panel with VersaMark ink and covered with heat and stick powder then heat set. Next i covered the whole panel with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and heat set again. I love this very glittery look. The Merry is from the Expressions Thinlits Dies. Then I just added a bit of ribbon and a jumbo rhinestone. Head over to Fab Friday to see the design teams creations and why not play along too. Fab Friday post a new challenge every Friday.

Christmas Snowman Telescopic Card.

I had seen a few of these Snowman cards around on the web and just had to make one. I had never made a
Telescopic card before and I discovered it is very easy and really fun.
It opens up to a full snowman, so cute and can be used as a Christmas decoration as well a card. The Circle Collections Framelits dies made cutting all those circles easy. Stamps sets are Snowflake Soiree and Merry Little Christmas.
His hat is made from the Square Framelits dies and Corner Rounder punch finished with silver ribbon, button and bakers twine.
Have a great day.

Festive Flurry Christmas Card.

I love this card we made at Maree's workshop it's so fun and festive. Living in Australia I can only dream about what it is like to have snow at Christmas.
Using the Festive Flurry stamp set with the coordinating Framelits. Lots of new goodies form the Holiday Catalogue on this card.
The Merry is cut out of Silver Shimmer card with the Expression Thinlits dies with a bit of spritzing. Also used Circle Collections Framelits.
Love these Frosted Finishes Embellishments.
The inside of the card has a band of Winter Frost Designer Series Paper (Stack) with a couple of stamped snowflakes.

Case - Ink Blowing Technique.

Hi, last week I found a really cool technique on Printrest by Debbie at Debbie's Designs  that I just had to try, Ink Blowing. This is so fun, I'm sure my kids have done this at school in the past. Basically it's just using a straw to blow ink around the card to make amazing backgrounds.
As Debbie suggests I used watercolour paper putting a drop of each colour from the re-inker onto the paper then just blow with a straw. I did try using basic card but the ink soaks in very quickly making it hard to spread when you blow.
I've used Strawberry Slush and Wisteria Wonder ink refills, as you can see the ink dries really dark. Stamp set is Perfectly You (Hostess) in the new Holiday Catalogue cut out with Hearts a Flutter Frame Lits.

This is really fun for little kids too.  Thank you Debbie for your inspiration. You can check out Debbie's Designs here.
