Prima Coffee Break Card Set!

Hi there!
Today I have a few Prima Cards to share with you all. I have used one of my favorite collections from Prima. This paper collection is called Coffee Break. I just love the way the Gold Mica flakes look against the black paper. These cards were really so much fun to make even though there's not as much coloring as I normally do. All the fun textures and dimension still gives these cards so much details.

The sentiments are Lili of the Valley's, Everyday Grungy Sentiments.

I covered the box in Lili of the Valley's One Birdie Lane Designer paper. Then I added some molding paste, and Lindy's Stamp Spray's. I really LOVE the way this project came out.

Here's the list for the blog hop. If you want a chance to win some goodies leave a comment and

A Simple Lili of the Valley Christmas Card!

Hello crafty peeps!
Today I have another simple Christmas card to share. I'm using this adorable Christmas Set
by Lili of the Valley. I think that many people overlook these acrylic stamps that LOTV have because the rubber ones are so stinking cute! But-- you are missing out on some great images in the other stamp categories. Great for the crafter who doesn't color and awesome for the mixed media artists out there! I used my inks from Fun Stamper Journey!

Lili of the Valley Blog Hop and new Coloring Video!

Hello everyone.
Lili of the Valley has done it again with another gorgeous "I have to have collection"!
These new stamps will be available in the Lili of the Valley Shop on Saturday the 22nd. They will be available online on Monday the 24th.

There's 10 new fabulous stamps and 3 new paper pads in this release.
Check out the sneak peeks from the designers.

As always, Lili of the Valley is so generous a random comment will be chosen from one of our blogs and you will win a set of goodies from this release!

Here's my card I chose to use this cutie, "Afternoon Stroll". I also have a video on coloring this image and creating a scene. I created clouds by coloring negative space. I normally create grass all around the image but this time I decided to make grass only behind her as if she was walking along a path.. taking an 'Afternoon Stroll'.
The papers I used are Lili of the Valley's Up, Up and Away paper pad.

Here's the video. Sorry for the bad lighting. It was cloudy when I was recording.
I hope you enjoy the video and the hop!
Have a wonderful day!

A Lili of the Valley Christmas Gift Set.

Hi there crafty peeps!

Here's on of 2 of the project gift sets we will be creating at my class at Custom Impressions this Friday! Isn't it super cute!

This image from Lili of the Valley and is called Shine a Light. I love the rich BG color of this Copic Combo. I used BG72, BG75, BG78 and N7. GORGEOUS! The card is simple, The base is actually an envelope, perfect for a gift card or money for a friend, co-worker teacher etc. I have also made a matching Candle. I really wanted to focus on the pleats in her coat and again show everyone how adding a little 'N7' really makes a huge difference in depth when coloring. My students know it as my 'make it pop'. :o)

If you are interested in this class please Contact Custom Impressions.

Have a wonderful day.

LOTV Halloween -- BOO!

Happy October 1st! I can't believe it's already October! :)

Fall is my favorite time of year.
The crisp cool air, the colors of the trees and the anticipation of the Holidays.

Today I have a card to share using this adorable image from Lili of the Valley, 'Halloween'
I've colored using my Copics. I'm not sure why, but I'm really liking the less cluttered card lately. I'm not going to say simple or less detailed because this took me over 2 hours to color. LOL. I was going for the foggy look. After editing the photo I wish I would have went darker in the sky..
oh well, next time.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week.

Lili of the Valley and Gelatos PLUS a Tutorial!

Hi there all my crafty blog peeps!

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I got home a little early from work and was able to sit and play a little. I'm trying to get some new ideas going for my classes and try to expand my little creative mind a little...It sure is nice to explore all of these new craft items I'm not used to. I'm like a little kid in candy store..
I sure do love these Gelatos® by Faber-Castell. I decided to do a little 'How To' for you all.
So, I hope you enjoy it!

I took my Lili of the Valley Grunge Elements Stamps. and stamped a few of them randomly all over my 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 white cardstock with some versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Then I took my Faber-Castell Gelatos® and scribbled the Pistachio Gelatos® over where the leaves are. Then, I scribbled the Butter Cream Gelatos® over the flowers. along the edges and around the butterflies I scribbled Acqua Dolce Gelatos®.

I dabbed a little water on my finger and in a circular motion I spread the Acqua Dolce color around the butterflies, first. Then I wiped off my finger and again dabbed in water and smudged the Pistachio color. Last, I did the Butter cream. With the remaining coloring left on my finger from the Butter Cream, I added a little color around the butterflies.

Wait a few minutes for it to dry and then wipe the embossed area with a paper towel. This will remove the color leaving the white outline. a stunning effect, LOVE it!!

Then I took some Whipped Spackle and added some to the center and around the embossed butterflies. Then I took my little poker pen and made some swirls in the Whipped Spackle.

I decided I wanted to break up the pattern a little so I cut this into 4 squares and put a white mat behind each piece. I also added some faux stitching around each square.

After applying then to my card base with the foam dots I decided to take some Glass Bead Glitter Gel and mix some of the Acqua Dolce Gelatos® into it making this gorgeous color that you will just love! I then added this to the corners of my card.

I used my Spellbinders Dies and my Lili of the Valley Quotables for the sentiment. I added some of my Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, ribbon and lace... and voila!
