Magnolia-licious challenge - dig out your vellum!

Hello there crafty peeps!

 

Today I'm showing you a card for the new challenge at Magnolia-licious. We are to use Vellum. At first I was going to do a little box and I had all my papers layed out.. then I seen how when you lay the vellum on a  piece of paper it lightens the one on the bottom. Well I thought using the vellum for matting would be a great way for people to use it ..easily. Then I used the printed vellum from

 Elle's Studio.. the hearts vellum and the striped vellum that I stamped my sentiment on.

Wild Orchid Crafts - Purple and Green Challenge!

Happy Monday my peeps!

 

Today there's a new challenge over at Wild Orchid Crafts.

We have a color combo this week. Purple and Green. I know what you are all thinking..

There's no flowers on this card. Well, I thought a cluster of flowers would look a little off since my main focus is a flower stamp from Lili of the Valley's newest release! I thought this would be a great way to showcase some of Wild Orchid's NON-flower products, that we tend to forget about. I have used some of the raffia ribbon around my card and I took one of these little bows.. which there are a ton of colors available, it's perfect to add some dimension to my vase. I added some german glass glitter to the shadow under my vase and then some large purple pearl brads.. LOVE THESE!

Happy Easter Everyone.

 

Today we are just lounging around. We are going out to dinner. Unfortunately I don't have a family

that  cares to do anything on Holidays... So it's just Me Ralph and the kids today. Instead of spending it cooking and cleaning.. alone I'd much rather go out to dinner.. so we will!

 

Here are a few layouts I wanted to share that I did this week.

 

I made this one using some new Elle's Studio products I got and some I won from being Featured on their blog. Yay me!! I just love these tags. I also used some of my Teresa Collins papers, dies and embellishments, Glits Designs alphas and washi, Freckled Fawn wood chips, Basic Grey epoxy stickers, Amy Tangerine papers!

 

 

This Layout I made using American Crafts, Elle's Studio, Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes, Freckled Fawn, too!

 

I love this photo! I have it in 8 1/2 x 11 too!

 

Magnolia-licious Challenge - Spring is in the Air

There's a new challenge at Magnolia-licious today.

Our theme is Spring is in the Air. I wanted to really showcase Tilda outside in the Spring Air. So I colored her outside in her garden watering on a beautiful Spring day! I love those white puffy clouds.

Notice I have used a touch of Flowersoft. I have a ton of this stuff and always forget to use it. I looks great paired with this adorable Tilda Watering Stamp from the new Easter Collection.

Time for a little 'Me Time!'

Hello out there in blogging land.

 

I have a scrapbook page I've been working on to show you. I love it!

I got my hair done last month and snapped a picture of me in the booth.. just so I could scrap it! :)

 

I've used some of my favorite Scrapbooking products and some newly discovered ones, too!

Heidi Swap is now on sale at Michaels.. I love how I can use a coupon.. and I love to see NEW stuff at Michaels!!I've also used some American Crafts products I found at Target.. I love that! So here's my grocery list.. shampoo, soap, toothpaste, buttons, paper.. :) hehe! I've also used my Chic Tags flair and some tags, from my buddy Veronica! Ohh on the bottom of my journaling I added a small part of the Elle's Label from a pack of her snippets. The perfect touch. I sooo need more Elle's Studio stuff!I've also used goodies from my Studio Calico Kit, Freckled Fawn, Basic Grey, Echo Park and

 Wild Orchicd Crafts.

 

I'm entering this layout into a few challenges.

Dear Lizzy has challenged to use a clear embossing technique.

Chic Tags challenge  is to use bling...

 and I've used a sketch from Elle's Studio.

Magnolia-licious - One for the Boys!

Hiya peeps!

 

Today there's a new Magnolia-licious Challenge. Our theme is All about the boys!

So bust out those Edwin Stamps! You can see all the Edwin Stamps currently available at

 Magnolia-licious, HERE. I've use my favorite Doctor Edwin. I wasn't sure about this card at first but I'm so loving the bright cheerful colors. Perfect for someone who isn't feeling well. I know boy cards can be difficult for some because you feel like you can't frilly them up with flowers and embellishments.. but YES YOU CAN!
