Gerda Steiner Share Your Design Challenge July
So, on the positive side, spending more time at home seems to have given me more creative mojo! I'm not sure that I have created more, but I have been able to join lots of fun challenges.
Tonight I'm sharing a fun one layer card with the Share Your Designs Challenge at Gerda Steiner. My card features the adorable Chicken Scratch clear set. This set was on my wish list and I've seen SO many adorable cards using this little group of chicks and pig.
I stamped the images onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake cardstock with VersaClaire black ink. It was colored with Prismacolor pencils.
I would like to share my card with the following:

Sugar Pea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #69
I haven't gotten a chance to play along with SugarPea for awhile. If you follow me, you know that sketch challenges are my favorite! So is this adorable farm set from SugarPea called Barn to be Wild.
This was not the direction that I had in mind when I started. But I'm really happy with the end result. The farm girl and pig were colored with Copic Markers, die cut then popped up on dimension tape. I die cut the circle mask then sponged with distress ink for the sun. I finished with a sentiment from the same set.

Paper Smooches Color Pop Challenge
I'm joining the current Paper Smooches challenge - Black and White with a Pop of color. I pulled out a favorite PS set - Paws for a Cause for this challenge.
I started by sponging a sunray stencil on the base panel. Using my Misti, I stamped the dog silhouette and sentiment from the PS Sentiment Sampler set. A couple of pieces of washi tape finishes the card.
Just in case you haven't heard the (sad) news, Kim will be closing the Paper Smooches store. She is currently liquidating the store with a retiring sale this summer. Be sure to stop by and check it out!

Your Next Stamp Challenge #143 Blocks
I'm joining the current challenge at Your Next Stamp with distress ink sponged blocks. I pulled out two of my favorite YNS sets - Keepin' It Reel and Aquarium Antics for this birthday card.
I started by making my own square mask then sponging with Tim Holtz distress inks - Blueprint Sketch, Salty ocean and Mermaid Lagoon. It was spritzed with water and set aside to dry. The crab was stamped onto watercolor paper, colored with Tombow markers and die cut. The ocean critters and sign were stamped and gems attached for the finished card.

Art Impressions Sparkle & Shine Challenge #287
I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge - Sparkle & Shine - with a fun ocean themed card. I received this adorable dolphin freebie with a recent order. It was stamped onto water color paper, blended with Tombow markers and fussy cut.
I started the base panel with SU Banana card stock and used various distress inks to sponge the sunray stencil (MFT). The ocean scene was created with glitter paper and MFT Ocean Motion die. The coordinating sentiment is from the MFT Best Fins stamp set.
Fingers crossed that AI is "teasing" us with the ocean critters! I'm hoping there is more to come with the next release!!

Power Poppy Creative Confetti: Sketch it Out & ROck Your Mojo
I'm joining the current Power Poppy Challege featuring their beautiful Peonies Digital Stamp set. Hurry, it's on sale now for $2.49!
I followed Julie's tutorial HERE which shows how to apply a quick splash of color by stippling inks. Love this technique!
Following Julie's example, I started by stippling Memento Rose Bud ink in the centers of the flowers. I then came back with Angel Pink Memento ink. The leaves were stippled with Bamboo Leaves. I finished the panel by flicking the Bamboo Leaves ink mixed with a little water using a toothbrush.
A machine stitched border, sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy, designer paper from Pebbles Garden Party and brads finish the card.
My card was also inspired by Julie's Rock Your Mojo challenge. I LOVE peonies... the smell and huge blooms remind me of my childhood. My mom and grandmothers all had peony bushes. I have about a dozen bushes around my yard and they are currently in full bloom!

Art Impressions Challenge #286 Rustic Roundup
The current AI challenge is Rustic Roundup - I hope my interpretation works with the Americana theme.
My sister's family went on a road trip for the July 4th weekend. They returned home on Route 66 and stopped along the way to see the sites. I thought to myself "That's Americana!" I hope to enjoy to that road trip some day myself.
I created a little roadside scene using the AI Road Trip set. I colored and fussy cut the car. The sky was sponged with Memento ink and a cloud die mask. The "road" is a black strip with white Uni Posca pen.

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #496
I hope everyone is having a great Independence Day weekend!
I couldn't wait to play with the newest pup set from Birdie Brown called Woof Pack. This week's sketch was the perfect "excuse" to play! As always, Torico's designs are adorable!
The image was stamped onto Stampin' Up! whisper white card stock and colored with Copic markers. A coordinating sentiment from the set and tennis balls finish the card. I LOVE the fun triangle shaped panel included with this week's sketch. It pairs nicely with the diagonal striped paper from the new MFT Positively Peppy Paper Pad (say that three times!).

Di's Digi Challenge - Summer Fun
I'm joining the current Summer Fun challenge at Di's Digi with this sweet digital image called Cherry Blossom Mice. The image was printed onto Stampin' Up! whisper white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. The cherries were lightly watercolored with distress ink.
I searched my digital and rubber sets for a Summer sentiment. I finally came across this stamp from a set from The Craft's Meow called Life is a Carnival. Sadly, they are now out of business.
The image was die cut with Spellbinders Labels Nine die cut. I'm trying to pull out some of my older shaped dies and use them! This little scene fit perfectly! Papers are from American Crafts Happy Traveler paper pad.
