Your Next Stamp Challenge #165 Sunset

I'm joining the current YNS Challenge with one of my favorite YNS sets - Keepin' It Reel.  It's perfect for all of the fisherman in our family and a great Father's day set.

I followed the sunset photo prompt by inking the Sea and Sky Stencil from Hero Arts for the background of the scene.  The "sand" was created with torn brown cardstock.  I lightly inked the edges for dimension.

This will be going out to my Father-in-law next week.  Hope he likes it!

I would like to share my slimline card with the following:

Your Next Stamp Challenge #143 Blocks

I'm joining the current challenge at Your Next Stamp with distress ink sponged blocks.  I pulled out two of my favorite YNS sets - Keepin' It Reel and Aquarium Antics for this birthday card.

I started by making my own square mask then sponging with Tim Holtz distress inks - Blueprint Sketch, Salty ocean and Mermaid Lagoon.  It was spritzed with water and set aside to dry.  The crab was stamped onto watercolor paper, colored with Tombow markers and die cut.  The ocean critters and sign were stamped and gems attached for the finished card.

Your Next Stamp Challenge #135 - Cute Critters

I haven't been able to play along with YNS for awhile.  Cute Critters are the current challenge.  It's the perfect "excuse" to ink up these cute critters from the Keepin' It Reel set.

I started with a wave stencil from SugarPea Designs.  The little ocean critters were stamped and die cut then colored with Tombow markers.  A coordinating sentiment from Aquarium Antics and bubbles finish the clean and simple birthday card.

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Challenge: #109 Patterned Paper

I'm joining this week's challenge at Your Next Stamp with this fun Father's Day card.  I pulled out one of my favorite YNS stamps called Keepin' It Reel and coordinating die for this card.

I started by stamping the fisherman onto Stampin Up very vanilla card stock, coloring with Tombow markers and paper piecing the vest.  The fish image was die cut, colored and adhered with dimension tape.  I couldn't resist adding the googly eye!

LOTS of patterned papers were used on my card from the Campfire paper pad by October Afternoon.  I finished with a few wood veneer stars for dimension.

Your Next Stamp Challenge #61

Where has the month gone??
I realized last night that the current
was coming to an end at
Your Next Stamp Challenge Blog.

I had this Father's Day card on
my mind for awhile and finally
sat down to create.
The YNS set is called

The image was colored with Copic Markers,
fussy cut and adhered to designer papers
from October Afternoon Campfire.
The vest was paper pieced with
coordinating dp.
Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip and
Almost Navy were used.  SU candy
dots finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!

Your Next Stamp Sketch and Color Challenge #60

I very recently became a follower
of Your Next Stamp
AND I'm hooked!
(pun intended)

This fun fishing set has been
on my wish list and I finally
got it last week.
 It's perfect for the current
sketch challenge and I needed
a birthday card for my
FIL who is an avid fisherman.
Win, Win!!

I started by stamping the fisherman
on Copic Marker 70 lb Paper.
He was stamped again on masking paper,
cut out and placed over the original image.

The sky was then sponged with Danube
Blue Memento ink using a scallop die cut.
Then Pear Tart was sponged for the grass.
The image was colored with Copic Markers
and I paper pieced the vest with papers
from Pink Paislee Outfitters
paper pad.  The scene was layered onto
designer paper from the same pad.
The Radiant Sun die is from MFT.

I really like how this scene turned out!
Thanks for stopping by for a closer look.
