I was really excited to take part in this year's Star Trek craft Swap! I found out about this swap through Instagram this time and it was so fun to watch everyone's progress! We were supposed to make one really big thing or 3 small things
My favorite is this Jadzia like dress made from Made By Rae's Geranium pattern for my partner's youngest child. I fear I only had her Instagram to go off of so I did not realize that she had an elementary aged child sooner, otherwise I would have made her a coordinating dress in her size! I also made a Sew-together bag and a project pouch (clear-fronted). I was happy to find a few goodies to add to the box!
Thank you for stopping by!

2016 Instagram Swaps: The Sew Yummy Swap
Sew Yummy Swap was one of those swaps I almost forgot about since I signed up last September in amongst the thrill of joining my first swap. I have to admit when I got my two partners I was at a loss on how to make something for them because their information they turned in was so specific and I did not use fabric from any of their favorite designers. I made a trip to the local Quilt Store and these are the fabrics I walked away from there with.
For partner 1, I made a simple and slightly frilly apron to go with her love of Orange and bright colors. I guessed her to be about a size 8/10 (from her instagram) to made it to wraparound her.
For partner 2, I knew she had a love of Kasette fabrics and seemed to like the green/purple color combo so I sewed a couple dinner napkins and knitted a couple of kitchen washrags. My hope was that my partners loved their items.
Thanks for Stopping by!

Instagram Swaps: The Schnitzel & Boo Mini Swap
This Post was originally prepared in November 2015, but was never posted live to the blog.
I am so excited to finally share about my mini for The Schnitzel & Boo Mini Swap! I had alot of fun with this pattern and making it my own creation. This was one of those times where my husband begged me to keep a project and give something else instead, but I had made this one specifically for my partner and I wanted to send my best work, not something thrown together at the last minute.
The hardest part was lining up the binding on the middle line and then also lining up the backing fabrics to match!
Thanks for stopping by to visit!

2015 Instagram Swaps: The Finished Block Swap-November/December
I love this block which turned out more like a mini-quilt than anything else! The inspiration was taken from Laundry Basket Quilts and uses a mixture of LBQ & Basic Grey fabrics. Both designers I knew my partner was crazy about!
Thanks for stopping by!
