What needs to change in Women's Sneaker Releases?

Thank you Sneaker Freaker for this feature and post!
For giving some female opinions a platform in an industry that tends to only show a tiny slice
of everything that females are and strive to be.

Some great statements by these awesome women:

Sneaker Freaker Issue #47 feature

It's been over 8 years since my last Sneaker Freaker appearance and I am more than honored
to get a monster feature of almost 30 pages in the current issue #47
A huge thank you to Woody for his patience and for giving me the creative freedom to bombard
him with pictures of over 80 pairs as it was impossible to decide for some 20-30 favourites
(trying to go for just 1 example pair of a model I love and not all the CWs and variations I
own also helped a bit) and for letting me talk some real talk about what OCD/OSD and serious
collecting actually means for one’s sanity and surrounding.
I feel super grateful for this massive feature and being able to speak my mind instead of
answering the same questions I am asked at every interview is a huge privilege!
Sneaker Freaker Magazine #47 is now available and I can’t wait to hear what you guys have
to say about it.

Soled Out is out now

Big up to Woody for this amazing new gem.

900 vintage sneaker ads.
720 insane pages.
100 athletes.
13 action-packed chapters.
12 years in the making.

As the title suggests, SOLED OUT is an exploration of the print advertising produced to sell
sneakers in the 20th century. From McEnroe and MJ to Hulk Hogan and Sigourney Weaver,
this is the 20th-century sports industry expressed in its own grandiose prose and
muscular image. Work on SOLED OUT started back in 2009, so you could say it has been
more than a decade in the making, though it was always in brief respites between projects.
To quote the man himself.

"Only masochists and hardcore completists make books this big."

  • Format: Hardback
  • Size: 315 x 230 mm (12 3/8 x 9 in)
  • Pages: 720 pp
  • Illustrations: 900 illustrations
  • ISBN: 9781838663674

Solemart 2014

This summer's Solemart week-end was laid back. But strolling through
the rooms there where plenty of chances to get excited. I just saw way
too many kicks I wanted to buy. Womens sizes seem to be gaining more
popularity and the sellers put out some serious heat!
Thank you Solebox for this come-together
