Sec. Robert Gates' message to the Troops... P.S. DADT language is included
He could be a little 'cheerful' about this.
My Top 5 'Prostitution Whore' Movies
I mean, I didn't want to be a prostitute, but I thought it was an interesting thing. And after watching too much HBO as a tween, I was convinced it was the life to live... If you were crazy and had nothing to lose.
So with that flashback in mind (along with a bit of boredom), I have posted my top prostitution themed flicks that made Hookercation an art form.

Flashback 1992/1993- My Fashion
I was obsessed with Cross Colours back in the day!
Cross Colours was the Hip Hop style of the 90s and a sign urban bougieness (This sh** was expensive).
I remember working hard at a blue jeans factory in Hickman, KY, just to buy as much Cross Colours as I could. I thought, I need to make an impression at college so what better way to do, but to do it in style.
I had at least 6 pairs of jeans, and if you remember the jeans, they were Rainbow Brite bright! But I loved them and the neon colored hoodies, T-shirts, jackets and a big orange tunic that if I had to do it all again, I wouldn't wear it to save my life.
In fact, if I had to do it all over again, I would have start my Ralph Lauren fetish earlier.

Tiwonge Chimbalanga and Steven Monjeza staying on the low
Tiwonge Chimbalanga and Steven Monjeza are not in the clear yet.
Because of their freedom, the couple can still be in some danger, mostly by the stupid townspeople. So, they are keeping a low profile for now.
However, folks are doing all they can to keep them safe:
Activists said late Saturday that they were searching for a safe house for the couple, fearing they could be attacked upon release.
The couple's lawyer, Mauya Msuku, said he had not seen either of the men since their release.
Maxwell Manda also said he had not seen Chimbalanga, his brother-in-law, on Sunday. He told The Associated Press days earlier that Chimbalanga wanted to leave Malawi upon his release.
"We heard that they were released but we don't know where they are," he told The AP on Sunday. "They are neither at their home in (a Blantyre suburb) or their villages. But I know they are keeping a low profile deliberately because of the sensitivity of their case."
The two were not at their Blantyre home when an Associated Press reporter visited Sunday morning.
Hopefully, they can get out of Malawi, maybe move to England or somewhere safe.

Interesting Quote: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson
"Acting is kind of gay. It makes you soft. You got all these people combing your hair and putting a coat over your shoulders when you're cold. I don't want a coat over my shoulders! I'm a tough-ass [individual]! Vancouver strikes me as a San Francisco-kind of place. And I don't want [individuals] getting ideas about me. I feel in my heart I'm the toughest [individual] on the planet. And I don't want nothing changing my train of thought. If you don't believe that when we step inside the octagon, it shows."
Actually, I think UFC is kind of gay.

Wale's back on for DC Black Pride
Well, I guess the pressure worked. Wale is back on with DC Black Pride.
Metro Weekly reports:
According to Earl Fowlkes, the DC Black Pride board member acting as spokesperson for the nonprofit organization, Wale's people reached out to Black Pride this week, requesting their client be given time on Black Pride's stage.Fowlkes also said:''He wants to show that he's not [homophobic], and we don't see any reason, within parameters, why that can't happen,'' Fowlkes said, speaking to Metro Weekly on Thursday evening, May 27.
''Wale is going to make a guest appearance and a comment about the situation and we felt like that was appropriate,'' Fowlkes says. ''His appearance and his willingness to engage say a lot for his character.
Fowlkes predicts Wale will get a warm welcome.
''People are forgiving,'' he says, adding, "This whole situation can be looked at as a turning point for our black LGBT community. I can't imagine this happening ten years ago. I think that what has matured is not just our reaction, but that we had the kind of people on our board to be able to reveal to the world that the perception of homophobia is wrong.''
That's cute and all, but I hope there's some LGBT artists in this mix. WE need to show them some love too.

Tiwonge Chimbalanga and Steven Monjeza are Free
The Malawi President, Bingu wa Mutharika has stepped in and ended this mess with Tiwonge Chimbalanga and Steven Monjeza.
He has pardoned them!
Mr wa Mutharika had been under international pressure to reconsider the convictions of Steven Monjeza, 26, and Tiwonge Chimbalanga, 20. They were arrested in December after they were united in a traditional wedding ceremony in the conservative southern African country, where homosexuality is illegal.
Ban Ki-moon, the United Nations Secretary General, met the Malawian president on Saturday in the capital Lilongwe.
Yes, Justice was done!Speaking shortly afterwards, Mr wa Mutharika said: "These boys committed a crime against our culture, our religion and our laws.
"However, as the head of state I hereby pardon them and therefore ask for their immediate release with no conditions."
He added: "I have done this on humanitarian grounds but this does not mean that I support this."
His decision will be seen as a victory by campaigners who had challenged the conviction and length of the sentence.
Mr Ban, who was due to address the National Assembly later, is expected to ask the legislators to change the laws on homosexuality.

Obama Issues LGBT Pride Month Proclamation
THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
For Immediate Release
May 28, 2010LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER PRIDE MONTH, 2010
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION
As Americans, it is our birthright that all people are created equal and deserve the same rights, privileges, and opportunities. Since our earliest days of independence, our Nation has striven to fulfill that promise. An important chapter in our great, unfinished story is the movement for fairness and equality on behalf of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. This month, as we recognize the immeasurable contributions of LGBT Americans, we renew our commitment to the struggle for equal rights for LGBT Americans and to ending prejudice and injustice wherever it exists.
LGBT Americans have enriched and strengthened the fabric of our national life. From business leaders and professors to athletes and first responders, LGBT individuals have achieved success and prominence in every discipline. They are our mothers and fathers, our sons and daughters, and our friends and neighbors. Across my Administration, openly LGBT employees are serving at every level. Thanks to those who came before us -- the brave men and women who marched, stood up to injustice, and brought change through acts of compassion or defiance -- we have made enormous progress and continue to strive for a more perfect union.
My Administration has advanced our journey by signing into law the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr., Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which strengthens Federal protections against crimes based on gender identity or sexual orientation. We renewed the Ryan White CARE Act, which provides life-saving medical services and support to Americans living with HIV/AIDS, and finally eliminated the HIV entry ban. I also signed a Presidential Memorandum directing hospitals receiving Medicare and Medicaid funds to give LGBT patients the compassion and security they deserve in their time of need, including the ability to choose someone other than an immediate family member to visit them and make medical decisions.
In other areas, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced a series of proposals to ensure core housing programs are open to everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. HUD also announced the first-ever national study of discrimination against members of the LGBT community in the rental and sale of housing. Additionally, the Department of Health and Human Services has created a National Resource Center for LGBT Elders.
Much work remains to fulfill our Nation's promise of equal justice under law for LGBT Americans. That is why we must give committed gay couples the same rights and responsibilities afforded to any married couple, and repeal the Defense of Marriage Act. We must protect the rights of LGBT families by securing their adoption rights, ending employment discrimination against LGBT Americans, and ensuring Federal employees receive equal benefits. We must create safer schools so all our children may learn in a supportive environment. I am also committed to ending "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" so patriotic LGBT Americans can serve openly in our military, and I am working with the Congress and our military leadership to accomplish that goal.
As we honor the LGBT Americans who have given so much to our Nation, let us remember that if one of us is unable to realize full equality, we all fall short of our founding principles. Our Nation draws its strength from our diversity, with each of us contributing to the greater whole. By affirming these rights and values, each American benefits from the further advancement of liberty and justice for all.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2010 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. I call upon all Americans to observe this month by fighting prejudice and discrimination in their own lives and everywhere it exists.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-eighth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand ten, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-fourth.

Question of the Day
We all had crushes, but my question of the day is this... Did you have a crush that truly owned you?
This is the type of crush that is bigger than all the crushes in your life.
For example, if he/she spoke to you, your heart actually stopped. You would have done anything for him/her, even sell your soul. This crush was in your thoughts every 15 seconds. And if you could, you would have cast a spell to make him/her yours.
If you remember, I'd told y'all about my crush and how I literally followed him to college.
Now it's your turn... Who was your biggest crush? And what did you do to get close to him or her?
I had More Sex... In the City that is
I saw Sex in the City 2 and I have to say, I loved it. It is totally for fans, so if you are not a fan you may not like it.
However, if you don't, sorry for you.
But in my fashion, I'll tell you about in bullet form.
- The wedding scene was over the top, but cute.
- Liza Minnelli was great! Her version of Single Ladies is the bomb!
- Chris Noth looks amazing! That's a Daddy I could really get with.
- Although this movie is 2 and half hours long, it didn't feel like it.
- The fashion was uber crazy, but fun.
- Carrie and Big represent many couples I know.
- Their travel to Abu Dhabi was kind of weird, but it reminded me of their trip to L.A. in season 3.
- There were a few references to the past, which were awesome. In fact, Carrie wore her famous Dior newspaper dress from season 3.
- In fact (part 2), the entire movie felt like a love letter to season 3.
- The girls look great.
- John Corbett/Aiden is so hot in this movie. It was good to see him again.
- The chemistry between the girls is still great.
- Kristen Davis did a super duper job in this movie.
- The flashback on how the girls met was cute, but I was surprised about Samantha's past.
- Watching this movie made me really miss my group of friends.
- Also after seeing this flick, I realized I need to shop.

OFA's letter of support to End DADT
Organizing for America, known as Obama for America, has sent out a letter to its millions of followers to help end DADT:
Keeping the President's promiseFriend --
This is big news: Yesterday, the full House of Representatives and the Armed Services Committee in the Senate voted to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
In his State of the Union address, President Obama pledged to end the law that denies gays and lesbians the right to serve their country. Now, we are closer than ever to making good on that promise.
The full Senate will soon start its debate on repeal. But some Republicans are digging in their heels. Senator John McCain said, "I'll do everything in my power" to block a vote. And Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker called the repeal bill "a major mistake" -- announcing that the GOP plans to filibuster.
We can defeat those who'd stand in the way of history. But we must show our senators that Americans -- in every state -- overwhelmingly support repeal.
Stand with the President and join the pledge to end "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
From the Recovery Act to health reform to Wall Street reform, one by one President Obama is delivering on his campaign promises. And, now -- if we can overcome Republican obstruction -- we have a chance to deliver on another: bringing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" to an end.
As the President has said, this is about more than just living up to his word. We must end this law because "it's the right thing to do."
Any policy that punishes brave men and women who step forward to serve their country simply for being who they are isn't just misguided -- it's discrimination.
That's why President Obama didn't just campaign on ending "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"; he made it a priority. And it's why it's now a matter of how and when -- not if -- we will repeal this law.
But as the Republicans prepare to block a vote on this historic legislation, we must do all we can to help deliver on the President's promise.
Add your name to the pledge today -- and then please pass it on:

Thanks,
Mitch

Wonder Woman Movie is in Development
It's small, but is a shimmer of hope.
Warner chairman and CEO Barry Meyer said that a Wonder Woman movie is in development:
Meyer particularly highlighted that DC Comics characters are key parts of Warner's future, mentioning a July 20, 2012 release date for the latest "Batman" film by Christopher Nolan and a holiday season 2012 "Superman" film.
He added that the studio is also "nearing" a greenlight for a "Flash" movie, with films featuring Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Mad magazine characters also in development.
Please don't tease me. Playing with my Wonder Woman is like playing with my emotions.

Sam + Bill + Hotness = Kiss?
WATCH the DADT House Debate
Lt. Dan Choi and Capt. Jim Pietrangelo are going on a Hunger Strike for DADT
FASTNG FOR EQUALITY & DIGNITY STATEMENT BY DAN CHOII'm really confused on Dan's stance. His demands are not completely realistic and a tad bit desperate.
Immediately following congressional mark-ups on the National Defense Authorization Act 2011, Captain James Pietrangelo and I will commence a fast in pursuit of Equality and Dignity. We have three demands of President Barack Obama.
DEMAND #1: End the Comprehensive Working Group "Study," which insults the dignity of all Americans.
DEMAND #2: End "Don't Ask Don't Tell" discharges forever.
DEMAND #3: Replace all discriminatory regulations in the military with a comprehensive non-discrimination policy.
This action is not organized in the name of any organization.
And a hunger strike? Somebody, please check on them regularly and have a 3 piece and biscuit ready.
P.S. some of them may go to Prison too
If that's the case, he may lose before the big win.
John McCain wants to put the DADT vote on TV
John is really working that re-election thing.
Wonk Room reports that Johnny wants an open session for the DADT vote:
Well now, sources close to the Senate Armed Services Committee are telling me that McCain has asked Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin (D-MI) that the vote on DADT repeal be in “open session.” Levin agreed and has said that the vote will occur sometime after lunch.
While some may interpret this as a ‘nod to transparency’, I expect McCain will use the time to grand stand on the issue and burnish his conservative credentials in light of his tough re-election race against J.D. Hayworth. Expect him to misrepresent the repeal compromise — which actually allows the Defense Department to complete its study before any repeal occurs and now has a 60-day cushion of review — and tout the letters of dissent he received yesterday from several service chiefs.
With the support of Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV), repeal advocates believe they have enough votes (16) to attach repeal to the defense authorization bill.
I hope this backfires on him.

Classic TV SiFi Moments: V- Robin giving birth
When the show premiered, it was a big ass deal. Aliens, Diana and Marc Singer's sexy self was enough to make me a believer.

Slumber Party Weekend
Last weekend, Eric (from M.A.L.E. blog) came into town. The last time he was here, he met RuPaul and hung out with some of the girls from the Drag Race.
Well, this time we ate BBQ, chit chatted for hours and actually, had a slumber party.
Eric, Austin, Ryan and I traveled over to San Bernardino to celebrate another friend's birthday. At first, folks were a little timid, only talking their little group of friends. Twenty minutes later, it was time to shake things up. So I used my old Residence Life icebreakers to... well, break the ice.
After a few introductions, a few drinks and a mini version of Hot Seat( great game to play with strangers), the party was officially on.
Just like teenagers, we stayed up and piled in a bed talking about dreams, old crushes and of course... Sex. It was good to meet new people and just chill.
The next day, we all went to a cute little diner for brunch. We continued our tawdry discussions and enjoyed a huge, CHEAP and hearty breakfast. It was funny to think as grown ass men, we just had a night like 15 year-old girls. But it was so worth it. Besides, I was so glad to see Eric have a great time on his second trip to Cali-Cal.
Now on his third trip, we may have to take over Vegas.
Happy Belated Birthday, Stevie Nicks
How could I forget this woman? As a kid, I used to spin around with a large bed sheet in my room, lip syncing to Stand Back every Friday night when the video appeared on Night Tracks.
She is such a wonder to watch and listen to. I remember drawing many pictures of her in a large cape and dress. I think I created a superhero called Weaver, in honor of her.
In fact, here's the video that made me a fan for life... Gypsy
Anywho, the point is, I love this woman. And I hope she had a great birthday.
5 Things (I think) GetEQUAL could do
I'm going to tell you a secret... I'm not a huge fan of GetEQUAL.
I was excited for them in the beginning, but somewhere down the lane, things got weird. Like a friendship that took a turn in 'one-night stand-ville'.
To me, it seemed that GetEQUAL went from super activists to the Heckle & Jeckle Show. To many folks they are as Teabaggers, brats and rude hipsters. In fact, they seem to have accomplished getting arrested more than getting things done.
But if I could, I would present these 5 ideas to help them get back on track:
- Work with our allies in Congress to organize townhall meetings. It would be good see the Senators, talk to our community about issues and possibly develop strategies.
- Develop a list of Senators to vote for or avoid in November. We need to know who are LGBT friendly and who stand with us no matter what. GetEQUAL could get some folks to provide that list of Senators and post the info on their site.
- Please heckle our enemies! Is that so hard? Instead of heckling Obama or Nancy Pelosi, GetEQUAL could attack folks like John McCain, NOM, Family Research Council. These peeps are not on our side at all. I mean, why be an activist group if you don't go after the people who are the reason of your existence? GetEQUAL needs to send to a message to our haters, not our allies.
- Gather more people. The smattering of protesters makes the our cause and their purpose look weak. Recruit more folks!
- Get Organized! When I see these protest, they look like high school bake sales. Please plan these protests wisely.

Oh Snap! John McCain and his Goon Squad are threatening to Filibuster the DADT Repeal
I knew this was coming. John McCain and some GOPers are threatening to filibuster a DADT repeal.
Armed Services Republicans threatened Wednesday to filibuster the defense authorization bill if it comes to the floor with Democrat-backed language repealing the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.
Armed Services ranking member John McCain said Thursday that he would “without a doubt” support a filibuster if the bill goes to the floor with repeal language.
“I’ll do everything in my power,” the Arizona Republican said, citing letters from the four service chiefs urging Congress not to act before a Pentagon review of the policy is complete. “I’m going to do everything I can to support the men and women of the military and to fight what is clearly a political agenda.”
Damn you, McCain! Why are you doing this? Oh, I guess this is his attempt to get reelected. However, I hope GetEQUAL goes after him and the other folks involved in this possible filibuster.
Sen. Ben Nelson will Vote in favor of Repealing DADT
Interesting stuff, peeps!
Think Progress reports that Sen. Ben Nelson will vote "yes" on a the DADT repeal.
I will support the Lieberman compromise because it removes politics from the process. It bases implementation of the repeal on the Pentagon’s review and a determination by our military leaders that repeal is consistent with military readiness and effectiveness, and that the Pentagon has prepared the necessary regulations to make the changes.
“I spoke to Secretary Gates and he advised that while he preferred waiting until the study is completed, he can live with this compromise.
“The Lieberman compromise shows that Congress values the Pentagon’s review that will include the advice and viewpoints from our men in women in uniform, from outside experts and from the American people about how to implement the repeal. It rests ultimate authority to make this change with our military leaders. I believe this is the right thing to do.”
Nelson's vote will help the measure go out on the carpet for a full vote.
