First Look: Rutger Hauer in True Blood

Rutger's interesting is stirring up buzz about his new role in True Blood.

Blastr reports:

Hauer, best known for his role in Blade Runner and about a million other films, will be playing the mysterious character Macklyn in the upcoming sixth season.

Not much is known about Hauer’s role, aside from the fact he reportedly has a close connection to both Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten). Aside from that, we don’t really know what Macklyn will be doing.

Interesting choice of actors. Rutger Hauer will join the cast of True Blood season 6.

Hauer will play a character named Macklyn who is said to be a "mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason."

Color us intrigued. But could Macklyn possibly have some ties to this mysterious vampire guy named Warlow we've heard about during season five but have yet to see? Or does he have nothing to do with that particular mystery, and those "deep ties" will turn out to be more "familial" than we think? Or is Macklyn actually Warlow himself?

This could be a fun season.
