 You know you are in Canada when :

you see the first Esso-sign, and miles gets into km again

 When the houses suddenly changes style

 And the townhouses are getting bigger and bigger

 And you find an elephant in somebodys backyard

 The museum of Anthropology. Lots of old and BIG totem-poles inside.

Sorry we got there after is was closed for the day. Would love to come inside someday

 The building was so spectacular I had to take some photos.

Lynden

 On our way to Canada we stopped in Lynden, a small Dutch community

 They have lovely wallpaintings

 A windmill which is really a hotel

 Inside the street behind the hotel there in an indoor canal. It used to be lots of lovely shops and places to eat - I am sorry it is all closed down now.

Går du gjennom hotellet kommer du til en kanal. Her brukte det å være masse nydelige små butikker og spisesteder. Disse er dessverre stengt alle sammen nå, så det var litt spøkelseslandsby her.

The quiltshop was still in town - lucky me.
Men quiltebutikken var fortsatt i byen

As you can see - we did some of the usual tourist things to do.

USA - Washington DC

 Vehicle for ice-fishing.

All kind of stuff to look at in Washington. It was too hot for us there,

so we had to spend a lot of time inside museums.
