Tør jeg dette da?

Nå sitter jeg her - klokka har nettopp passert midnatt - og i dag skal årest julegåte fra Merete legges ut her:

Så nå har jeg plukket fram stoffene, og lurer på om jeg skal tørre å bruke disse batikkene. Har samlet på batikkstoffer i en tre-fire år , men nesten aldri brukt noe av dem . Men siden boksene sto framme fra forrige dagen , tror jeg at jeg tar sjangsen. Julegåtene er uansett gøy å sy - så heng deg på.


Ellers så ser designveggen min slik ut i dag, nå har jeg sydd rundt nesten alle blokkene i ytterkanten - blomstene mangler , for de syr jeg for hånd. Og midtparitet er fortsatt bare limt opp

On my design wall this week

Found this quilt in a Deutch magazine - Lea patchwork #361 - on display now.
I want to make it, and digged my batic-boxes to see what i had of yellow, orange, red and pink - seems I'm almost there - ready to start sewing.

It's done done done!!!!

Finally - it's all done. Got some good help from my friend Hanne - and my new friend the mega-quilter.This bag is almost all made of oldies - except from the zipper. Handles and bottom made form an old leather jacket bougth at a flea-marked for 40 NOK, two old buttons, an old rope and scraps for blocks.

And in case anybody still wonders if they should prewash fabrics or not, I will show you the water from two red pices of fabric.

Meet my new companion

Just wanted you all to meet my new friend. Just unpacked and ready to start sewing.
I have also ordered the quilting frame for it, but it hasn't arriwed yet. Maybe smart to get to know the sewing-machine a little bit first.
I have sewn together a lot of strips no - and it's fun to have the opportunity to speed up the sewing.

Just a small reminder about Christmas. Solveig has already started the countdown and made thos postcard today. Thank you Sigrun for the "postcard-kit"

Who , What ? My new sewing machine - a Husquarna/Viking mega quilter. I got a phonecall for the shop today, the machine will be here on monday.
I really look forward to speed up my seving - this one had 1600 stitches pr minute, the old one app 600.
