Today was the first day of school in my neck of the woods, and by all reports a good day for all! After a busy and noisy summer, the quiet today was
wonderful!!! Youngest is a big first-grader this year......thus ending 5 straight years of going back to school every 2-3 hrs to pick up kiddos :)
Since I didn't have to spend my day acting as diner, taxi, hotel, entertainer, referee and sheriff...I got a few things finished :)
Fall freebie by
Homespun Elegance
fabric: 32ct lambswool linen

This was so quick and fun. Just what the Dr. ordered after seeing others stitching cute fall/halloween stuff. I photographed them with my Putfords so you can see it's kind of a small tag.
And I've knit the world's ugliest socks. This is some unknown sportweight (non-striping, just variegated) in Oldest's favorite colors, knit as anklets (her fave sock.) She loves them and thinks they're "cool", I think they're hideous and would've just as soon thrown them away...

48st basic sock
women's size small
unknown sportweight yarn
Lantern Moon size 3 dpn's
I signed up for a PIF with Ginger at
