i'm falling even deeper in love with the marimba recently.but it sucks when i can't even read notes fast enough.. ):

hello ngee ann's concert Rondeau XXIV is over!great experience playing with them :D
i learnt quite some stuff from this concert!
i'm like super motivated to practise now. HAHAHA.
but like what i said on the train just now, after projects. wl anti-climax ttm!
moeller's technique, traditional grip, practise conga etc.
it was fun during the encores and the alumni band segment!
i screwed michael jackson up, ARGH.
i guess i need more practice for drumset... new year resolution update!
the last concert i played drumset was 2007 lah omg, freaking long ago please! [and that was mj school hall wth, cui. HAHA]
i mean if you exclude non-(concert) hall performance.
symphonic metamorphosis was fucking fast at the end i thought my hands were going to get tangled but i persevered till the next bar which was cut into half the speed, phew.
wah i'm on post-concert high now!
i guess if i screwed up alot of my parts i'd be feeling damn sian, so it was good! (given the limited number of practices we went for..)
intensive week from tuesday to friday/saturday. lol.
clementi everyday after 6pm lessons and the stupid jams made the journey longer. o.O
but it was worth it lah. (:
okay shall go look through scores for later's concert!
omg i feel so unprepared although i went for more ai pracs than np's. ):
cos i have so many mallet pieces!! and i still can't freaking sightread taogays.
yeah cool, i'm taking it as a learning process again.
gaining experiences, improving skills.
there's so much to learn and improve on.
the sense of satisfaction just feels awesome.
i will live the saying of 活到老学到老 although i'm not that 老 yet.
all the percussion angels (we came up with it today HAHAHA) and gods out there please impart some knowledge to me.
but i will try my best to look up the internet for self-learning/e-learning!
i hope the attitude to practise and learn won't be gone before i finish my projects.

went to my grandma house for the 2nd time this year.i decided to go cos i thought since it was a free sunday, why not? haha.
i only saw my youngest cousin like 3 times since she was born.
and the 2nd youngest one is going to attend primary school soon!
oh and it's north vista, i think. HAHA! (:
btw, he talks in an angmoh accent and i can't even catch what he say sometimes. 0.0
then my uncle was asking me if i know the music teacher or what.
but i don't know which one, i only remember the young and the old one from band. \:
yeah but i definitely remember the principal, cos of some stuff and yeah the kids always suddenly become very quiet and guai whenever they hear his name. LOL.
yeah.
i went after airport studying (failed ttm!) with the section and shirlene.
i think i was camwhoring, exercising, gossiping and stoning more than i studied.
omg i think my karma reached the maxiumum again!

then i saw the pair of vater sticks i said i would buy if i see it. HAHA.

hello it had been a long day.meeting time was 1pm and i thought i was 10 minutes late...
then raz and jasmine turned up 2 hours later. LOL!
i ended up finding food and walking around angmokio for that 2 hours. haha.
we finally went to find percussion ensemble scores.
raz and brother left at 6.. joel came at 6.30..
decided on this jap score: 風になりたい - the boom.
THE BAND VERSION IS DAMN NICE!! (:
i saw the meiden cd i saw online! :D
maybe i'll get it when i'm richer.... band is a rather heavy investment activity. HAHA.
i still have many many cds i'm intending to get.
ajbc discs are too luxurious, no money!! ):

i like the viewing mall atmosphere, peaceful but with rather poor lightings lol.
reached home at 12am.
my mummy thinks i'm going out alot and reaching home late at night.
eh usually i only leave house at 5pm and reach home at 12am lor, for band practices.
okay but when i'm at home i play games. X:
time to really clear my room.
go sell books at bras basah man! hahaha we wanted to since march.....
i think i really have alot of unfulfilled to-dos.
eg. taking theory since like 2007 or something.
i'd better fulfill them soon!
life is short.
oh and it's bad to have a public holiday falling on sunday, for me.
cos all my band practices fall over the weekends..
and saturday became the eve of hari raya and sunday hari raya itself, and monday compensating for the sunday holiday.
so from a 4-day band week, it became a 1-day band week. SHEESH.
okay i shall go and do my jap homework before sleeping.

ahhh i think my com is getting screwed.it's getting laggier and laggier.. ):
so i can't load the few photos into the com cos my com can't seem to detect the usb thingy. [ya that includes the fake genting prelude photo hahaha]
saturday.
nus concert.
hymn to the infinite sky suddenly brought back sws 2007 comworks memories. my first sws concert and first proper band concert, and the most intensive with mr willy tan around i guess.. and the ahem-orgasmic ending we experienced :D
most awesome experience then..
i learnt and improved alot during that period of time.
next, vesuvius.
so it's memories of mjcsb? and err, the screwed-up performance in japan! \:
when it was freaking cold [maybe cos the hall door behind us was open i heard?] and we can't hear ourselves and the band cos the hall was so echo-ey..
even then, meiden sounded imba lah. still so neat and nice etc.
so it's our fault right? hahahahaha.
well, all in all the concert was okay.
the repertoire included some of my ex-favourite songs. hahaha.
like chorale and shaker [sec 2 or 3] and fantasy variations [sec 4].
of course i love hymn to the infinite sky. (:
satoshi yagisawa's songs are nice, although they sound mostly of the same style..
we all took 151 home from nus..
it didn't take as long as expected again. see, singapore isn't really that big. X:
sunday.
had swsy in the morning. overslept again...
okay but usually i still manage to reach before they actually start. HAHA.
sightread a piece called hurricane. it sounded like a hurricane. ahaha.
worked pretty long on 4th symphony 2nd movement.
vibes part. chords. 4-mallets.
there was only one part of the song that i could really play.
sorry i'm a noob. ):
sometimes i really feel very inferior at reading notes.
but i'm trying to work on that now, taking it as a challenge in honing my percussion skills.
timpani too.. to make myself less tone deaf with better tuning?
mallets mallets mallets, when can i overcome you? [maybe i need one at home HA]
but at least i can see that i'm reading notes slightly faster than before.
hope my weekly random trainings help in time to come..
if i don't improve more soon i think i'm going to fall into depression....

well i don't mind working part-time after i start school.. will have to see time table then.

fellow cedar batch percussionists (silin + regina) to celebrate my birthday at city hall.
ate at some pizza place at raffles city..
over-ordered. we ordered 2 pizzas, 2 pastas, sides combo..
shopped around at marina square, then city link.
couldn't find things to do...
sat at tcc for a drink, and ate that chocolate thingy which was super nice! :D
decided to walk home. HAHA YES FROM CITY HALL.
wanted to buy new shoes together cos regina's shoe wasn't fit for walking.
okay then no size.. we ended up going to regina's house to watch movie.
watched _____. (shit i forgot the title HAHA)
halfway through we watched little nonya so we left her house at 11pm.
yay thanks alot for the treats! (:

it's like A BEACH FOR DOGS cos there were alot!

hello i'm left with human geog paper on tues.i need to chiong it desperately cos it could save my life.
but, it's off day from some work to -
i don't want to comment much on the papers so far..
all i can do is to pray for miracles.
and prepare to succumb to whatever fate i'm going to land myself in.
enjoy life while you can. [be it until getting back of papers or for your whole life]
well, at least there's still something that i can do to salvage the situation [if it's that bad] - do well for human geog paper.
really, i don't know how to describe the papers.
okay i should really focus on human geog.

even though it made me cry the first time i saw it and but also cheered me up a bit, on this bad day.
