our rest-time during our 2 1/2 hour walk home from tp after supper last night.
cos it was so early we decided to try walking home..
and i don't think i'm ever going to do that again, SO FREAKING FAR! \:
then they walked over to my house and i took damn long to manage to go downstairs to meet them only at 3.30am.
so we went to find food, there was only 7-11.
LOR AH SOO SUCKS, PLEASE OPEN MORE 24 HOURS COFFEE SHOPS.
although not alot of people will go cos the neighbourhood is like so quiet at night..
so far, walking home experiences:
1. holy innocents primary school - 45 minutes to 1 hour
2. tp - 2 1/2 hours
i've never walked home from cedar and mj before.
but it'd take less than 2 hours to do so from cedar?
i don't think i can ever try for mj cos i have to walk the expressway hahaha. (are we even allowed to do that?)
so i realised my schools are getting further and further from my house.....
today was my cousin's wedding.
no photos, only a few of my younger cousin. lol.
i like to listen to the adults talk. i get amused by them.
there were alot of cute kids there too! :D
and i randomly wonder, if any of my cousin reads my blog. HAHA.
found out some things too..
#1. this distant so-called cousin of mine, whom i always play with every week when i was young, got a jap girlfriend! he looks like one too with his hair haha.
#2. one is stressed starting secondary school.
#3. one wants to be a hair stylist.
#4. one is getting married next year.
#5. one is in the same course and same batch as silin in ntu.
and fyi, i already have 21 cousins from my paternal side.
went shopping after that with my aunts and cousins.
it was a lunch buffet style wedding btw. lol.
bought some stuff.. yay.
okay so i shall do proper things tmr instead of lazing around for the whole night.
but there's ntu concert so it gotta be at nightttt. ha.

hello cancelled project meeting cos it may be quite unproductive.so we should meet after memorizing our roleplay lines. lol.
i decided to make use of time and went to find ryokan & jr line photos for our roleplay.
then my heart got itchy.... 心痒痒。 >.<
read up on some interesting cultures of japan.
then i chanced upon ryokan meiryu's photos!
omg it was actually 2 years ago that everything happened..
but it feels like everything happened last december.
it brought back lots of memories.
i really miss those daysssss!

anyway had cheap thrills mac breakfast with christina and rizky just now!
it started off with me saying i feel like eating mac breakfast, then off we went.
we were baby-watching at macs.
the girl girl beside us was super cute! she kept smiling at us, and her smile can melt us :D
HAHA 1 hour was enough to walk to macs and come back just in time for lecture.
slept for half the lecture. i know i didn't follow 2 resolutions already oops.
i slept at 3.30am last night.
anyway accouting theories turn me off.
but i only like to calculate when i know how to do. X:

oh no, my jap-speaking skill is really bad. ):
not only that, some sections i'm still unfamiliar. eg. days of the week.
i need to spend some time revising through the whole of beginner level soon.
furthermore, when asked a question in jap, i will be stunned for a moment trying to create a reply in my mind..

make-up lesson teacher: b6 は何曜日ですか？(what day is b6?)
me: *shit i just memorized the days this morning! then think for damn long...* saturday.
there was a follow-up question but it wasn't so bad cos i just shook my head HAHA.
lol but the teacher was humorous/interesting and friendly lah :D
finally i see a male jap teacher there.. HAHAHA.
all i've seen for the past year was female jap teachers and a singaporean male one.
eh but i don't even know whether he's jap cos he speaks alot of jap, but he's fluent in his english and chinese too! wow super trilingual!
so tempting to change to wednesday class.. he takes thurs too but i can't.
oh, the dunman high girl from last year mito sensei's class was in that class.
ahh okay i think i need interesting teachers to enhance my learning lol.
4 (mon tues fri sun) more days of make-up lesson to try out the different teachers.
but mon and fri is definitely out.. D:
okay enough of all the jap stuff. i've been facing it for the whole day!
jap cds tutorial + jap make-up lesson.
shall rehearse through once for tmr's econs presentation.
and spend at least half an hour on festivo.
i'm screwed i haven't touched the score since saturday.
but at least i'm having a less-packed schedule already..
get back to watching jap dramas soon cos i listen and get to learn more jap (not excuses, it's true for me HAHA) :D

new year resolutions for 2010.school
1. do tutorials. the 'study hard' era is over, i found doing tutorials more useful.
2. don't sleep in lectures/tutorials unncessarily.
3. improve GPA.

4. take JLPT 4 and do well.
5. put in more effort into studying jap, revise & do homework.
6. communicate/practise more in jap.
health
7. exercise more - at least once a fortnight.
8. eat lesser during supper/avoid eating after 1am.
9. sleep no later than 2.30am on early school days.
finance/money
10. save money to go japan!! even if it's still not enough to go this year, there's still next year and our 3 more years of grace.
11. get a job during the long vacations - to achieve above.

14. train on tuning.

心情烦躁 today, easily annoyed.i highly think the main cause is the lack of sleep.
i managed to accomplish most of the things on my to-do list last night.
replaced studying bizstats with copying last week's ob lecture notes which i almost forgot.
and no festivo last night, only spartacus.
i always liked the temple block part, now it's time to learn the parts.
i'm going to nap for awhile after settling my ob presentation script.
then study bizstats at night!
I NEED MORE SLEEP. and earlier.

WOAH band today had full instrumentation and almost full strength!there're so many people suddenly, new and old.
it's been quite a long time since i'd played in a band with so many people. haha.
anyway we played yotd today!
wah shiok, but i still need to figure out the changing-notes process.
spartacus. it's harder than it looks and sounds....
i'm like counting 5/8, 7/8 and all the weird 8s time signature every week now. o.O
so far i only can't catch festivo's.. HA but there's always the 4/4 to catch, noobbb.
final fantasy medley was nice! shall try finding the song hoho.
tried out the 16 bars percussion solo for gelato with alfri. he took 8 bars i took 8 bars.
now i understand how he felt taking the whole 16 bars by himself while we were smiling at him while he played on thursday. HAHAHA.
8 bars is headache enough to ad-lib by yourself..
i need to do some research for inspirations soon!
lunch after band at kovan was funnyyy.
the worker was quarrelling with the boss, then our tofu serving got smaller. okay that was a nonsense link we created. lolll.
had cheap thrills there, fun! :D
drank pudding milk tea from cup walker too.

ha, didn't manage to wake up for marketing lecture this morning!
slept till 1pm somemore, must be the weather too nice lah. it rained.
anyway chionged to school to do ob presentation.
although i spent half the time eating my lunch and only did the front and back part of the whole presentation.
marketing tutorial was fun.
cos i can type the tutorial answers in microsoft word instead of wasting foolscap.
and when the teacher asks us a question, type it straight in google! :D
tutorial ended early today for the first time. project project project.

seriously, with an active band schedule, i've improved on my time management.
but somtimes may not be in a good way cos i'm managing it tonight in a way that i sleep late and wake up late = pon lectures. oops sorry i promise i'll do my tutorials!
i haven't been going for friday morning lectures.
there's just too much sleep to catch up on since 2010 started.
or rather 2010's gonna be another year which will pass extremely fast.
january's almost gone and i haven't even settled down.
my to-do list is getting longer and i haven't got anything done so far.
fell asleep after lunch this afternoon. nooo i wasn't supposed to sleep for so long!
and i quarrel more with my mum these few days.
projects must be irritating me that much.

time management and discipline fail.i had a long to-do list to complete, i only accomplished one of it - econs project.
i didn't nap (only a 5min power nap at my desk), i didn't facebook much.
but i still completed only 1 out of 6 in the list.
what's wrong with me?
i'm only satisfied with one thing: i can be a china gdp pro now, i read so many articles on it before i could type out my part properly.
maybe that was what i was doing for the few hours?
anyway tutorials were great today! :D
(morning was marketing project, un-great)
jap tutorial today was exceptionally fun and funny!
our tutor was so kawaii in replying questions.
classmate: why you want to be a teacher?
tutor: secret. *grins and giggles*
HAHAHAHA damn funny lah! the way she said it.
i just got into the jap mood today again. (:
accounting tutorial after that.
woah accomplished tutorial, cos i managed to understand how to do the stocktake thing.
but it took me alot of concentration and erm, liquid-wastage.
anyhow, i bet the teacher will faint next week giving back my test results.
i can predict the line, "what happened?" from him. \:
seeking for continous motivation, not part-time motivation.
but i always have on-and-off goals..
therefore, i'm going to find my new year resolutions now or write it again.
i aim to complete marketing project tmr before starting on other to-dos on the list.
eg of others on list: jap revision worksheet, update planner, start writing my diary etc.

morning suayness.scratched my elbow against the rock pole at the bus stop trying to catch the bus in front.
which i later saw another of it behind when i was reaching school.
INJURED FOR NOTHING, KARMA.
it was in pain for the whole day so far, and i actually haven't washed the wound.
it looks/feels too pain to be washed! okay but i need to when i bathe later.
a patch of my skin is gone. ):
anyway it was so pain i couldn't even sleep in lecture. it's a good thing HAHA!
did marketing project in school after macs breakfast.
started studying accounting at 4pm. nothing much went in.
even until 7pm right outside the lt.
went for the paper. CONFIRM GG!
i didn't know how to do almost every single question.
sigh at least mid-sem result is going to cushion my grade-fall for the time being.
why is this the same % as mid-sem test and the amount of things i know are so extreme?
i need to chiong for main exams!
it sucks big time to not even know how to do anything from lecture 6 onwards.
one main reason for gg accounting: never do any tutorial since mid-sem test.
shall do all the tutorials soon.
i can't do nothing, lesson learnt.
band ended early today, even earlier than my test.
so we went hunting for tauhuey but failed.
drank bubble tea, fat fat fat.
then we went home. wow early.
okay time to bathe.
i'm scared leh! i'm scared of the pain my wound will have. lol noob.

a happy, fun and bonded section. it was.

anyway, wanted to update resolutions but this time i couldn't find the notebook i wrote in..
till i find it or re-write them.
today was the first jap lesson for 2010, intermediate class.
(and all 3 of us were late)
omg i totally can't do the revision exercise!
i need some time revising and doing it.
and i hope i can cope with intermediate.
learnt katakana today although i already self-learnt it with hiragana last last year.
here comes the fun/cool/killer part: kanji.
nice, we get to write kanji characters (chinese, people call it) now! hahaha.
went for ai practice after that.

i came to realise..if i can't play properly during band i'll be brooding over it on my journey home.
sucks, i need to familiarise myself MORE with the sws timpani.
i like the timpani there, everything but the no-gauge part. D:
need to improve on my tuning too..

no more slant fringe, it's almost straight now. it looks kinda weird.

after finding out i can't do the ba tutorial (lecture cancelled last week), i napped for 3 hours.

FINALLY we're meeting for basketball since the last time in 2007 or 2008, and saying we should play more often since 2005 or 2006. hahahahaha it's only our 2nd or 3rd time.

today was chiong-project day.chionged till 5.30pm since lecture ended at 11am.
then went for band at 6.30pm. sectionals..
i forgot what i wanted to blog about.
so i shall go and chiong biz stats tutorial.
i'd rather they give me 2 more class tests than have that freaking 10% project which has so much work to do! it shortened my life by at least 10 years i tell you.
till i remember what i wanted to blog.. haha.
congrats to o level-ers who did well, if you didn't it's not the end of the world!

hello ngee ann's concert Rondeau XXIV is over!great experience playing with them :D
i learnt quite some stuff from this concert!
i'm like super motivated to practise now. HAHAHA.
but like what i said on the train just now, after projects. wl anti-climax ttm!
moeller's technique, traditional grip, practise conga etc.
it was fun during the encores and the alumni band segment!
i screwed michael jackson up, ARGH.
i guess i need more practice for drumset... new year resolution update!
the last concert i played drumset was 2007 lah omg, freaking long ago please! [and that was mj school hall wth, cui. HAHA]
i mean if you exclude non-(concert) hall performance.
symphonic metamorphosis was fucking fast at the end i thought my hands were going to get tangled but i persevered till the next bar which was cut into half the speed, phew.
wah i'm on post-concert high now!
i guess if i screwed up alot of my parts i'd be feeling damn sian, so it was good! (given the limited number of practices we went for..)
intensive week from tuesday to friday/saturday. lol.
clementi everyday after 6pm lessons and the stupid jams made the journey longer. o.O
but it was worth it lah. (:

omg i feel so unprepared although i went for more ai pracs than np's. ):
cos i have so many mallet pieces!! and i still can't freaking sightread taogays.
yeah cool, i'm taking it as a learning process again.
gaining experiences, improving skills.
there's so much to learn and improve on.
the sense of satisfaction just feels awesome.
i will live the saying of 活到老学到老 although i'm not that 老 yet.
all the percussion angels (we came up with it today HAHAHA) and gods out there please impart some knowledge to me.
but i will try my best to look up the internet for self-learning/e-learning!
i hope the attitude to practise and learn won't be gone before i finish my projects.

i'm missing the days when i see genuine smiles on happy faces, and laughters from the bottom of the heart. and doing it myself almost everytime.just looked through the cedar photos on my facebook.
it really was the happiest days of my life.
am not continuing anymore.

update my 2010 resolutions soon! (super overdue i know)i wrote about 15 or so somewhere. haha i'm still updating the list..
but not now, projects are piling up along with the pile of things in my room.
jap meeting got postponed.
i'm glad that i don't need to lug my heavy bag & laptop to clementi later like yesterday.
it's like some physical training. i think my shoulders are very strong now cos i don't even feel the weight of my freaking heavy bag, and my laptop feels lighter each day.
and it's been a long time since i had any lesson starting at 4pm!
i spent 15 minutes trying to figure out why my itouch couldn't sync with itunes just now.

i felt bad.but all the scams has made me lost trust in human.
i feel very sorry for all those who really need help out there, now i can't differentiate between those who need genuine sympathy and those who are out to cheat. losers.
even though she just wanted to borrow $2 from me, i really only had 30 cents left.
then i started imagining an old woman being stuck at the bus stop at midnight.
luckily she managed to borrow coins from the other woman i think.
i've changed my perception.
from: never be soft-hearted to passer-bys who seek your help.
to: it won't hurt if it's a small amount of money like that $2, at least it is a good deed to you.
but still, those fuckers with no integrity really piss me off.

yesterday, saturday.
good, i didn't oversleep this time..
rehearsal was alright.
then conrad fetched us down to downtown east :D
so we ate dinner together at fish&co express, worth the money!
met raz at iluma after that for avatar in 3d. sorry for being late!
i've been thinking that there was more than just the 2 of us watching. HAHA.
now i know why people keep saying avatar is a nice show.
it's just, nice? and exciting hoho :D
it's so environmental-friendly, like me. hahahaha.
use recycled paper notebook and eco file yo!
oh and 3d is good!
although somewhere in the middle i got uncomfortable wearing the specs, but at the exciting parts you just forget about the uncomfortable feeling.

oh and we sat at the last row and the most corner, but still better than 1st row.

a year 2009 review.2009 passed very quickly!
i worked for the very first time in my life.
i worked with kids, some were cute and some were naughty.
i had many performances - 9 performances and 5 concerts.
i made new friends and continued meeting up with old friends.
i had a new school life.
i turned 19.
the first few moments of 2009.
