Happy Independence Day

These are the fireworks I took last weekend during our camping at Campground in Garmish. This is my first time to witnessed the fireworks closer. Many people spent their Independence Day or 4th of July (including us) in Edelweiss. It was wonderful...Kids and adults were having fun, some kids blew their whistles while others were screaming and yelling (that's include me!) ever time the firewoks blast. The weather cooperated during the fireworks flared-up and people were happy and so do I that it stopped raining but after the fireworks finished, it started to rain hard. It was short but worth it to watched.
Hace a wonderful day to y'all.....

Full Moon

I took this photo last monday and it was an accident to see it. It was hot in our room so I opened the window and when I looked outside I saw the moon was round and so bright so I rushed to get my camera and take pictures. It was really beautiful and I wish I have a telescope so that I can see the crater. On the picture, you can only see the shadow of the crater. It was nice weather when the moon came out and it was beautiful and wonderful to watched it but the next morning, it rained.

Good day to y'all....

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

Thanksgiving is the occassion to be thankful for the many favors granted by God.
Thanksgiving Day is also about togetherness, love and expressing our sincerest gratitude to people who love and care for us and who has helped us in some way of the other....
May Your Thanksgiving be blessed with the bounty of the season, love of friends and family and a harvest of smiles..... HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!
The origin of Thanksgiving- began in 1621 when American colonists in Plymouth, Massachusetts and the Wampanoag Indians shared the first Thanksgiving meal. Given some misnomers, we don't think the menu included today's traditional Thanksgiving meal favorites. Thanksgiving historians doubt that there was pumpkin pie (sugar and flour were not available) or mashed potatoes (the Europeans still considered the potato poisonous at this time). Original feast foods that might surprise you were fish, eel, berries, watercress, lobster, dried fruit, clams, venison, and plums. The original feast lasted three days and was based on traditional English harvest festivals that usually occurred in England around September 29th. It wasn't until two years later in 1623, after a horrible drought, that the actual "Thanksgiving" celebration occurred. It was called Thanksgiving because the drought finally came to an end after a period of intense praying by the colonists.
Have a Gobble gobble day!!!!!

Psalm 55:22

I got this email letter from a good friend. I just want to share with you about one good story...

Subject: Re: Psalm 55:22
I was driving home from a meeting, this evening about 5, stuck in traffic on Colorado Blvd., and the car started to choke and splutter and die - I barely managed to coast, cursing, into a gas station, glad only that I would not be blocking traffic and would have a somewhat warm spot to wait for the tow truck. It wouldn't even turn over. Before I could make the call, I saw a woman walking out of the 'quickie mart ' building, and it looked like she slipped on some ice and fell into a gas pump, so I got out to see if she was okay.
When I got there, it looked more like she had been overcome by sobs than that she had fallen; she was a young woman who looked really haggard with dark circles under her eyes. She dropped something as I helped her up, and I picked it up to give it to her. It was a nickel.
At that moment, everything came into focus for me: the crying woman, the ancient Suburban crammed full of stuff with 3 kids in the back (1 in a car seat), and the gas pump reading $4.95.
I asked her if she was okay and if she needed help, and she just kept saying 'don't want my kids to see me crying,' so we stood on the other side of the pump from her car. She said she was driving to California and that things were very hard for her right now. So I asked, 'And you were praying?' That made her back away from me a little, but I assured her I was not a crazy person and said, 'He heard you, and He sent me.'
I took out my card and swiped it through the card reader on the pump so she could fill up her car completely, and while it was fuelling, walked to the next door McDonald's and bought 2 big bags of food, some gift certificates for more, and a big cup of coffee. She gave the food to the kids in the Car, who attacked it like wolves, and we stood by the pump eating fries and talking a little .
She told me her name, and that she lived in Kansas City. Her boyfriend left 2 months ago and she had not been able to make ends meet. She knew she wouldn't have money to pay rent Jan 1, and finally in desperation had finally called her parents, with whom she had not spoken in about 5 years. They lived in California and said she could come live with them and try to get on her feet there.
So she packed up everything she owned in the car. She told the kids they were going to California for Christmas, but not that they were going to live there.
I gave her my gloves, a little hug and said a quick prayer with her for safety on the road. As I was walking over to my car, she said, 'So, are you like an angel or something?'
This definitely made me cry. I said, 'Sweetie, at this time of year angels are really busy, so sometimes God uses regular people.'
It was so incredible to be a part of someone else's miracle. And of course, you guessed it, when I got in my car it started right away and got me home with no problem. I'll put it in the shop tomorrow to check, but I suspect the mechanic won't find anything wrong.
Sometimes the angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the flutter of their wings...
Psalms 55:22 'Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.'
Here is the prayer: 'Father, I ask You to bless my children, grandchildren, friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace, In Jesus' precious name. Amen.' I know I picked more than four -- you can, too. When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, 'Jesus, could You please get that for me ?

Disasters?

Hello everybody….It’s Saturday! Are you surprise that I’m doing my blog on weekend? It’s because my husband is working and I’m done with my chores at home since yesterday. So I’m relaxing and maybe later, I will be going to one of the Giant Flea Market in our community. Anyway, someone left a message on my tag board. Asking what do I think about disaster? There are different kinds of disaster. One is disaster in financial like what’s happening in different country especially the 3 biggest continent like United Sates, Europe, and Asia. We got affected by that kind of disaster not just long ago. It was sad and upsetting but what else can we do? I have 1 solution to prevent for happening again to us. To sell all the stocks we have while there is still left but someone stopping me. 2nd disaster is calamities like Cyclone that happened in Myanmar, Hurricanes that always hit United States in Florida coast, Louisiana, and some part of Texas, and Earthquakes that many people died and buried in China, Typhoons that hit Philippines, Taiwan, and China, And most of all, Wildfires that always hit California whether it’s summer, spring or winter, always there’s a fires. The third disaster I think of is disaster in family. Broken family, fights between father and son or mother and daughter, husband and wife or wife and in-laws. Money and jealousy are the main reasons why family is fighting with. Sometimes for no reason!
I hope that I gave the answer to the question of DRR or at least give him/her some ideas about disaster.

Have A Nice Weekend to y’all…….

Bad News!!!!

Hello everyone….Yesterday was bad day for my husband and I because we got our mail with bad news. No one dies or hurts except our investments. I’ve been hearing about the financial crisis in United States but I never thought that it will affect our investment, too. My husband was sooooo upset and dismay about the news. We’ve been in this company for more than 10 years and we never, ever think that it will happen to us this kind of situation. My husband is so crazy about these stocks that he depends on for my daughter’s college or for his 2nd retirement. Me? I just ignore it. I don’t like to depend on any company who has stocks because they are not too solid enough to depend on. Much company will tell you at first that you’ll make a lot of money if you invest with them. I would say, yes but at the end, your money will go to the drain. They can’t promise a 100% that your money will not be touch, use or lose. If their company is going down, your money for sure is going down with them. We lost almost $20,000!!! That’s a lot of money for regular citizen like us. I told him that we didn’t really lose our money except the one we gained. I even mentioned him that it wasn’t lost totally everything. We still have money on it and the best thing to do now is to cash it. I also suggested to him to buy his dream car Mercedes Benz before we lose everything. He is still convinced that it will go up or it will go back to normal. I don’t really know what is his plan for our investment but for me is for my daughter’s college. It’s upsetting but we can’t do anything about it except hoping that everything’s will go back to normal.

Amazing shots!!!

These photos are my favorite shots. I shot it when I was in the airplane about 25,000 miles above the ground. At first, it wasn’t clear as it is now, it’s because I used the auto adjust. It makes my photos more clear, colorful and beautiful. I’m sooo proud of myself that I don’t have to go to a class or learn how to take a picture. You just keep taking pictures and you will get breathtaking and magnificent photos. I don’t need an expensive camera just to get these astonishing views. It’s my privilege to share my photos to all of you and next time, I will post more.

My Finished Project

Hi! Everyone.... I finally finished my knitting project. It took me 3 days and my daughter has simple scarf. She even used it when we were at Stockholm. I’m addicted now on knitting because I’m half on my next project, my daughter’s poncho. I’m so glad that I went to knitting class because making scarves or ponchos will help us since its winter time. I might start my own business, selling scarves or ponchos, he he….

Health Tip!!!

Hi! Everyone…I was reading this newspaper and I found something interesting that caught my eyes. I want to share it with you and it’s about 2 ways to beat breast cancer. Now a days, many people die or suffering in different kinds of cancer. We want to prevent having breast cancer by Losing weight and Eating more vegetables. According to Researchers at Vanderbilt University Cancer Center discovered that women with a genetically high risk for breast cancer can cut their risk in half, simply with a diet high in cruciferous vegetables. Women who ate a lot of these vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and kale have a significantly lower risk of postmenopausal breast cancer. Meanwhile, in different study at the famed M.D. Anderson Cancer Center found that heavier women are more likely to get more aggressive and dangerous forms of breast cancer. Researchers found a particularly aggressive type is inflammatory breast cancer (45% obese patients but 15% in normal weight patients). After 5 years, a significantly greater number of obese women reported a recurrence or reappearance. “We are learning that the fat tissue may increase inflammation that leads to more aggressive disease,” according to Dr. Massimo Cristofanilli, who led the study. Hopefully, sharing this article I read may help some of you out there!

New Hobby...

Hi! Everyone…I’m so happy today because I learned new hobby. Knitting is frustrating at first but once you familiarize on all kinds of stuffs about knitting, then you’ll start to like it. My daughter has knitting kit but we both don’t know how to do it so I enrolled myself to a beginner knitting class. She made but I want to learn too. I attended on one of the class today at Arts and Crafts. The cost wasn’t that bad, $27 for 3 hours and the person will teach you one on one. First she taught us to get to know about the knitting stuffs like different kind of needles, what kind of yarn and many more. But she gave us the basic needs for knitting like yarn, needle and step by step instructions. The first step was hard for me because I’m not used to operate 2 needles at the same time. She started to teach us to make simple scarf... She showed us how make stitches, garter stitch (knit), stockinette (knit & purl), ribbing (2 knit, 2 purl) and casting off (closing). When I got home, I continued to do the scarf that I started at the class and the more I practice, I started to hang of it. My hands are a little bit sore but it will get used to it! Now, when my daughter saw me doing the knitting, she wants me to teach her and she is quick learner. She got it for 4 trials and started doing it by herself. When I finish the scarf, I will take a picture and show you my new project. Hopefully, next time I will learn how to make big blanket or sweater.

Women then vs now???

Hi! Everyone…I would like to talk about the difference between women then versus now. My cousin (back in the Philippines) asked me something that made me think. She gave me an idea to put it on my blog and share it to all of you. It didn’t take me that long to think because they are both unlike in different ways. I would say that women before were conservative, shy and stay home mom or wife. Women made sure that when their husband and children get home, the house were clean, food were ready to serve and everything’s in proper place. Taking care of their family is their priority. They also wore in conservative looks and clothing. But women now are wild, aggressive, liberated. They also want to have career to make money not just for themselves but also to their family, too. Some women now are obsessed on material things. Some are love to have sex all the time just for their pleasure not for reproductive. Some are using sex as a weapon or a tool until they achieve their goal. I also noticed about women in this generations are nagging, hates doing their household chores, and they back talk to their parents and sass! No respect…they rather hang out with their friends in malls than helping their parents at home. For my own survey, I would say that women now are worst than before. Some of you might not agree for what I said but it's just my own opinion.

Nice weekend!!!

Hi! How’s everybody doing this weekend? Well, it was beautiful and nice day last Saturday. We went to Wiesbaden to visit one of my husband’s cousins. We took her to Mainz Kastel for her video repair. We went to visit one of the PX (military store) in Mainz since the store is next to the video repair. My husband found a laptop that he likes so we bought another one (sus!!! more debt!). The price was not that bad, plus the Star Card (military credit card) have promotions that when you buy more than $299.00 you will get 6 months no payment and no interests. So he decided to get the laptop for himself. After we shopped, my husband’s cousin took us to the Stadttmitte or they call it City in Wiesbaden. We walked and took some pictures for remembrance from Wiesbaden. They have lots of stores, restaurants, nice church and market platz (where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables). They even have a small flea market. Check out my other sites for our photos.

Hectic Weekends.....

Hi Everyone… How’s your weekend? My weekend was hectic because we are planning to go to Stockholm, Sweden. We got a good deal on tickets but looking for hotels is not fun for me. I did not know that looking for hotels are not easy to do. It took us over 3 hours to make hotel reservation on internet because we (me and my cousin) have to agree on the location, convenient and especially on price! We searched too many hotels until we both agree which one to pick. Thanks for my cousin for his patients surfing from the internet. We finally found the hotel next to the airport (Connect Hotel Skavsta) and in the center of Stockholm (Nordic Sea Hotel). Now, we are planning how and how much we should spend on food once we get there. Because I heard that it’s too expensive on Stockholm for tourist spot. I did not know that making your own vacation is too hassle. We are used to go to the bus trip like the USO, Enjoy tours or RTT and it’s included everything except for your lunch, dinner and the souvenirs you buy. Our vacation will be on Oct. 10-13 and hopefully we’ll get there and come back safe and sound. I’m sure it will be exciting and interesting.

TGIF(Thank Goodness It's Friday)

I’m sooo exhausted today. I woke up late and got ready because my daughter school has release early today and I don’t know why? I have to do my chores and I have to take them (my daughter and her best friend) to the swimming pool. Before I take them to the pool, I have to feed them because they haven’t eaten when they left school. We wentto the Shoppette store because they want to eat hotdog. While they were eating their hotdog in my van, I rushed to the bank to pay my bill. After that, then I took them in the pool, I left them for couple of minutes since post office is next door. I felt secured leaving them because they're both passed the swimming test and they're over 10 years old. I went to the Aafes store (military store) to pay my other bill and I shopped a little bit. Then I went back to the pool to watched them. Thank goodness, I brought my solitaire game and a book for I won't be bored. They stayed at the pool until closing. I finally got my rest...

China milk scare....

Hi! Everyone….How’s your day today? I have something to share with you about the China milk scare if you haven’t heard it yet. I always watch TV Patrol news from TFC (The Filipino Channel) everyday. This is the good advantage to have the TFC in my house so I could find what’s going on in my hometown country Philippines and around the world. I’m sure that all over the world, the news about the milk in China is known. More than 4 babies (China) have died and more than 200 babies get sick for acute kidney failure because of the milk Sanlu. The Sanlu milk has contained Melamine. Melamine is a chemical with carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen to make plastic, glue, counter top, foam and many more. They put the melamine in milk because they thought that it will add proteins for babies but it doesn’t really have it. Melamine is a poison chemical and it’s dangerous once you eat it. Since last week until now, people in the Philippines still worried what milk should they give to their babies. Many products not just milk; also some candies, chips and more have been removed from the shelves in different stores. People are alerted to check the products before they buy. Why China been getting this kind of terrible tragic? Few months ago, they had earthquake and many people died and still looking for missing. After that, typhoons came and more people lost their lives. Last week, babies were dying because of chemical that poison them. And now, more people lost their lives because of another typhoon! What’s next??? Too many disaster in a year (it’s not even finish the year yet?). Maybe, this is not their good year….hopefully they will survive in any tragic!

Miracles!!!!

Do you believe in miracles??? I do...I would like to share this amazing miracle story that I got from my email. My friend sent it to me. Since the picture is too small and you can't read it clearly, I will write it: The newspaper dated Thursday January 24, 2008...
AMAZING
A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and 8 year old daughter. The girls were buried alive! He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand- ALIVE! The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed. The older girl was asked how she had survived. “A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister,” she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by availed Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, “This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!” Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it’s clear also that He is alive! But, it’s also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle. Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn’t help! With Egypt at the centre of the media and education in the Middle East, you can be sure this story will spread. Christ is still turning the world upside down! Please let this story be shared. The Lord says, “I will bless the person who puts his trust in me.” Jeremiah 17

Blog words!!!

Hi! Everyone….I’m so busy and tired today by reading all kinds of information about the blogs. I stayed in my computer almost all day so I could learn more details about blogging. I have read everything but it’s hard for me to understand it. I want to know those words from blogs and no matter how many times I have read, it won’t take my little brain! (he he he...). I even use our own language (Tagalog) so it will be easy for me to understand it but still nothing! Thanks to my friend who made me started blogging, I called her for help! She helped me how to add widget in my site and to put my name on her “Followers”. Now, I learned two things today. I even got some advice from her; she said “be patient”. I will try….my friend! Thanks again….

I'm sooo Excited!!!

Hi! Everyone….I’m so excited since yesterday until now because we finally going to Stockholm, Sweden. I booked our tickets to go to Stockholm last night and the reason I’m sooo excited because we are going to Sweden with my cousin and his wife. We are going to take 3 days weekend vacation because it’s American holiday. Our tickets are cheap for only 175 Euro ($268.00) for 5 of us. My cousin found a cheap hotel for $138.00 a night. We are all going to share the expenses so it won’t be too much for our budget. I read some info about the Stockholm and there are a lot of things to do or see places. I’m sure we won’t be bored to stay there for 3 days/3 nights. I’ll keep you update how’s our trip goes….

And also, I’m happy because my husband bought a new camera for my daughter. I told him that they have to wait until I get the camera that I wanted so I will give my old camera to my daughter. But because the camera was on sale and we have coupon to use, he bought just it! The brand is not bad! And of course, my daughter was soo pleased because it’s her favorite color (blue). I was playing with it (camera) last night and reading the instruction, it has more features than my camera. I’m jealous now but I will get the camera that I really, really want someday. I’m not rushing to buy the camera because I’m waiting for the best and cheap one. I know in my heart, I will find that camera in the right time BUT reasonable price.
